My son was in Little Scholars from almost 4 months old until 5 years old right before he entered Kindergarten. As a first time mom who was going through so many changes, Little Scholars gave me the comfort in knowing that my son was taken care of. He learned so much and I’m very grateful that he began his childhood there. The entire staff is super sweet and they really take the time to work with all the children individually. I especially love that they teach communication and independence. I should also mention that once your child has been in this school for a while, it truly brings up your standards on where they should go next and I believe it’s worth it!

My son has attended Little scholars since he was an infant. We say goodbye this week as he is going to start Pre-K. Needless to say, we are so sad to leave the wonderful staff there and are so impressed by the care they gave him. Everyone has been so kind and attentive over the past few years, and I always felt comfortable knowing that I was leaving him in safe hands. He always enjoyed the extra enrichment they gave him (Sprinkler days, outdoor playground, yoga class, music lessons, arts and crafts, etc.). I highly recommend Little Scholars!!!

My daughter started with half days when she was 18 months old. We took her out during the pandemic when she was 3, and have put her back in at 4 years old. I have nothing to complain about, Everyone who works there seems lovely and professional. My daughter is learning a lot and enjoys going there. The place has always been clean, and I receive lots of emailed updates.

Extremely clean location. Teachers and staff are lovely and always helpful. My daughter graduated last year and was very advanced and extremely prepared for kindergarten. My son is currently finishing the senior toddlers program. He has pretty severe allergies and the staff have all made me comfortable sending him full-time there next year. They always check when students are offered new foods to try etc. I am always informed and kept in the loop. The staff have taken so much time to help me research and inform me of the content of every single item served so I can be better prepared for next year. I am very very very happy with this school. I will always highly recommend this school. It is the best in the neighborhood. My daughter was fortunate to graduate from here and my son is following on. Thank you for yet another awesome year! We sincerely appreciate being part of the little scholars family!

Its a clean place and some of the care givers are great. Having said that, there is more to day care than being good at organizing things. The money factor is never far away from some of the care decisions e.g. what is served for lunch. This place with new management may turn into a better place for your kids. For now, I am staying away.

I cannot say enough about Little Scholars ! Both my son and daughter started going there at 3 months old. The facility is clean, bright, and cheery. The staff are extremely well organized and are always available to answer any questions. Both my kids love going there. The day is filled with a multitude of fun activities. They come home with creative projects and are always eager to tell me about them. In addition to being fun, the curriculum has a good balance of educational activities that engage them in learning. My son actually just started Kindergarten this month and Little Scholars did a great job of preparing him for “school with the big kids”. But what I love most about Little Scholars is how much they care about the kids. They know each kid’s personality and temperament and genuinely care about each child’s well being. Both my kids love their teachers/care takers and talk about them all the time. We are so blessed to have found such an amazing place where our kids can grow, learn, and be nurtured by people who love them.

School looks very nice but the director assistant, Meredith Bean never contacted me back, I found this to be extremely unprofessional.I was looking into leaving my son for the month of August. Waiting on them to to get back to me, never did!!I called, Meredith was doing a tour, call again same day, she had stepped out. Called again and she was gone for the day!!!!! I mean a quick call or email does not take much time.Well she sends a messenger, Martha is her name. Telling me that there is space for my son for this month but not September.....ummmmm you mean to tell me you had an opening but decided you didn’t wan to call me to let me know???I’ll be taking my money and son to a different daycare.Glad this happened before he got enrolled with unprofessional, unreliable people.

Little Scholars is a fantastic school with a great staff. It is owner operated, and the owner is on premise most of the time, so attention to detail and quality is always first and foremost. My son has been going there for a few years now, was potty trained there, and learned to read and write his name, numbers, the letters of the alphabet, and small words, amongst other things. They also have a great summer program where the kids get to do many additional enrichment activities and field trips. I highly recommend.

Our daughter started at Little Scholars shortly after her 3rd birthday. We only wish that we would have found the school earlier! As our daughter now prepares for kindergarten, we feel she is very prepared intellectually, emotionally and socially thanks to Little Scholars.Highly recommended!

The best preschool around. My daughter attended Little Scholars for 3 years, started when she was 2 and did not speak a word of English. The teachers were very patient, and within weeks she picked up the language. The academics are very strong: she is now in kindergarten at a very good school, and her teacher keeps commenting on how well prepared she is for the kindergarten, her skills are way above what she needed to master before she entered the new school. The staff is always attentive, pleasant to deal with; the director is always within reach - either in person, over the phone or email. My child absolutely loved going there every day, learned a ton, made great friends that we still keep in touch with. I am so grateful we found LS and would recommend it without any reservation.

My daughter has been attending little scholars since she was 3 months and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the school! The staff is amazing! Always helpful, always accommodating. Her teachers are wonderful and always willing to talk and answer any questions and I can see how much my now almost 2 year old is learning daily. Singing her ABCs, counting, wonderful social skills and I could go on and on! Super clean and the meal plan is great too!The extra enrichments offered during the school year are incredible and enjoyed immensely. She is now in yoga and loves her kimmy schwimmy! They also offer a huge variety of summer camp activities. Most importantly they really take the time to know each child; likes, dislikes and personality and truly care and are invested in each and every one. Little Scholars came highly recommended to me and I know why! I highly recommend sending your children there as well!

We have two kids that have gone to Little Scholars since they were 3 months old, and it was the best decision my wife and I made. The entire staff from the teachers right up to the Director have demonstrated genuine compassion and care for both of our kids as if it were their very own. The proof has been in the rapid development socially, physically, and mentally and how excited both of our kids are when we drop them off, but just as excited to tell us about their day when we pick them up. They have a created a learning environment and just as important - transparency between the school and the parents. We also love the cleanliness and the brightness of the classrooms and hallways. We have seen other daycares and some just seem dingy and dark.I highly recommend this daycare and would be happy to answer any questions about it.

As we are international parents and our kids dont speak english at all when they started, We have only great experience with all the school staff.Kids are always happy when I pick them up ,and yet they learn so much from the school . What i can ask more from the school when i see my kids are happy and learn new staff at school.

I have been really happy with this day care until recently. Employee turnover has been high. More care has to be taken in looking for qualified individuals. I might have to consider my options looking into somewhere else.

Excellent school -my son started in the baby class and is now finishing his summer camp in PreK4 class- this is a wonderful place for your child to grow, get independent, acquire the skills they need to. LS is truly run like a well oiled machine by the management folks (Ms. Meridith, Gitzy). All the teachers are wonderful and caring - special props to Ms. Amber who is the PreK4 teacher and this is her first year teaching and shes my sons PreK4 teacher- shes sharp, on point and just fabulous with kids.It is an extremely clean facility and they have activities to keep the children busy as well as a great curriculum to keep them learning and get them ready for kindergarten in ways that I did not realize.I strongly recommend Little scholars to anyone considering sending their child here.

Little Scholars Guttenberg NJ, where to start?Money! Making as much $ as possible and Give parents as little quality as possible!1. Overcrowded classrooms AM/PM2. Not enough employees.3. High turnover of the employees. 11 different assistant teachers and 2 main teachers changed in one school year. One of them told me she makes $8/hour.They are leaving because of bad management, treated poorly, not getting enough work hours.4. Bad/junk food. When we started they provided more and better quality food now they lower the quality and providing fewer snacks/lunch options.5. Trust. After 1 year I have found out my child never eats!I have also received call from the school that my son hurt himself and he is bleeding. After I told them I want to check the camera to see what had happened, they changed their statement to another child hurt him!6. Very bad vacation policy! We travel 4-8 weeks a year. They have a policy that we have to pay full tuition for them to hold the spot even though we told them the return date. We had to pay $1400 which is the full months tuition. When I talked to other parents they told me they never paid when they went away to hold their spot. So they have different rules for everyone.7. And to top it off, since I was not working I told them I want to enroll my child part time starting this September, they told me, NJ state law does not allow par time enrollment.

I am writing from a teachers standpoint. I was given the opportunity to jumpstart my career at Little Scholars simultaneously pursuing my masters in Early Childhood Education. I walked in eager to take on a new role as a head teacher and was encouraged to follow the duties of setting up a child-friendly environment, scheduling the day for my students, lesson planning, administering formal and informal assessments, create bulletin boards, manage the use of a SmartBoard, etc. Within those two years working, I was given support and guidance from the office staff, which helped me grow personally and professionally. My experience at Little Scholars allowed me to break out of my shell and readily prepare me for my future as an educator. After the completion of my masters, I decided to go to a public school district, which sadly meant my time at Little Scholars had to end. I still keep in touch with the staff and families of the children I taught. Why should I send my child there?I do not have children of my own, but after having 100+ students in my career, I know that Little Scholars is the start of a blossoming education with caring teachers and aides. From the infant room to the Pre-K classroom your child will hone language and literacy, physical, cognitive, social and emotional qualities at an age-appropriate level.Go set up a tour and see for yourself today!

My review = FAIR to GOOD!The school seems amazing, its new, clean and rooms are specious. For the past year I ve seen teachers coming and going. They are not happy here and kids can feel it. Classrooms are overstuffed with kids. Children are not getting enough attention, and environment is very noisy and unsafe. As much as I liked the school before, I start to be concerned now, and thinking of other options. Also I realised that they dont have fixed fees for everyone. They never know how much they suppose to charge me each month, they have to check. This is one of the expensive school in the area, go figure.
