These students complain too much; I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Haltom and received a better education here than in another city such as Dallas. The work and grading system is rigorous but it helps to keep students busy. Most of the reviews I read here are about superficial things such as school aestheticism and the like, its a shame I didnt realize they went to school to be interior design critics.The teachers are all around wonderful people, very helpful and interested in the students education. The students were friendly too for the part, thankfully I wasnt there to socialize

HHS became increasingly constrictive and restrictive through the years I spent there. While the district has various praise-worthy programs and aspects, the basic academics suffer greatly from a lowest-common-denominator dumbing-down.Further, the administration is seriously lacking in that it seems to see the students more as inmates to be managed rather than young adults needing to be taught how to prepare for real life.

I attend Haltom High School. The staff is good, for most part they are wonderful but others are very rude. I enjoy the place of learning. Its a very good school to learn but you have to have a good teacher to learn. We are cared about and all the teachers I have had have made sure to get to know individually and know pros and cons about us. They make an effort. AP wise for the most part are understanding and genuine ask how your day is going. Others ignore you or yell at you and etc. Overall Im happy I attend Haltom and to be a 3rd gen Buffalo.

Campbell is what makes the school bad, fire her.shes scaring away all the students and now you guys lost one.Moving next year.Good riddance.Also, the kids are mean, but I will say that the school does take care of bullies okay when you report it. Could be better, but they definitely dont do nothing about it and I appreciate it.

I attended Haltom and graduated in 2013, the school is so overcrowded and the building is old even though it was remolded... The teachers there are nice but the asst.principals insist in treating you like crap, they are not understanding whatsoever...Great school, bad staff..

I would like the school to handle the bullying better, all the kids that are involved to get punished!! It’s not fair to the students who want to be there to learn, but are unable to because of the hand full of bad seeds!! End the bullying!!

UPDATING THE RESTROOMS WOULD BENEFIT ALL THE STUDENTS AND FACULTY.As a MALE student here, it makes me sick when using the restroom. There are no ventilation, if there are, ITS NOT WORKING.The stalls are old, many missing locks.Usually pee and trash on the floors, trashcans needed otherwise students will litter the place.Cheap laminate sinks that are falling apart.There are usually at least one clogged toilet in every restrooms, because theres always that one kid who never flushes.Poor lighting so make it brighter.There arent even that many students that need to pee so why so many urinals in close proximity to each other.Because of issues like this daily, janitors have to clean the restrooms more than they should, I feel like the janitors sometimes are grossed out and decides to not even clean the restroom.There are only two nice restrooms available for students which are hidden so many students dont know about them, their designs are much more modern making it cleaner ,however sometimes the doors are locked by teachers probably due to the fear of students vandalizing the restroom.I really hope this schools uses its funding for something more beneficial like the restrooms. The school got new computers in the 2016 year that included expensive software like Adobe software that arent needed for every computer, the funds couldve been used on updating the prison like restrooms. There are many dumb investments as well....I hope the school admins see this before summer break ends so they can update the restrooms.If you spend money on cheap products, you get poor quality stuff like clogged toilets.

My nephew just graduated from this school. I gotta say the teachers are great, helpful, and influential. But the administers here are the worst. And I thought I had my share of terrible administers with my kids school. One word: oppressive. I remember my sister telling me that her son was being verbally abused and the APs wont do anything about it.Also their graduation was a bust. Due to their very strict rules on wardrobe, having everyone clothed from head to toe with black, we had a very difficult time picking out my nephew out of a crowd of 300 kids and we nearly missed his grand moment of receiving his diploma on stage.When I say head to toe, I really do mean head to toe. All the girls had to wear basically the same thing: black pantyhose with black shoes. The dress was to be worn underneath from the robes. Ok, no problem. But they still had to be black. Why even do that? Nobody is going to see what dress the girls would have underneath so color shouldnt matter.I felt like I was attending some kind of monk convention.No wonder people say individualism is dead...

Its a great school the teachers are very nice but the school has a bad reputation. Most of the kids are nice but theres a few that are mean.

The majority of the staff are very rude, especially the APs! I have had several students tell me that they thought Mrs. Campbell was racist. I met her once at the beginning of the 2015 school year and she was awful to me! I think the students may be on to something. There is a lot of bullying in this school, and not just from students. The kids smoke pot on the buses and the drivers never say a word. I feel so sorry for these kids!!!

The school isnt a bad school its the kids that act up but there are good teachers but I never liked Mrs gunter shes a very rude teacher and i never liked her I know cuz I had her and never liked the AP s either but I dont blame people saying that its a bad school cuz I mean of the students maybe things changed but when I was there it was okay not really rude students some bad teachers and students were often racist and homophobic which they still might be but not all of themthis school also talks about treating others with respect and equality but all I saw were kids being homophobic and racist towards others the school wasnt all that great teachers often were mean like going back to a geometry teacher named Mrs gunter also one time I was in a bathroom and two white students I was in a stall but they got in a stall but didnt realize I was in the bathroom started saying remarks about Mexicans and say in beaners and stuff but people can be racist and homophobic in that school

Not a quality school. Horrible programs, theyre horrible at everything and never win.(example. Football team wins about 1-3 games a season and knowing from experience the dance team goes to the easiest dance competitions just to have less competition to hopefully win) If youre a good student just stick to the academics and dont waste your time joining a program because I did and that didnt get me anywhere except wasting my parents hard earned money. If you do join STUCO, BPA, NHS, etc.) only good thing to come out of high school is that I met my fiancé here

Wow. Completely horrid! Everything about this school is great! The students, the teachers, the events... But not the APs... Which really ruined my freshman year for me. APs are supposed to be there for their students, saying hi, learning names.... But these APs arent envolved at all. 2/5 of them I consider decent. They seem to just be there for their pay check. Especially Ms. Campbell!! I know Im not the only one who knows she is a bad person. She is obviously good at her job, but she doesnt seem to enjoy it. Shes always giving me sideways looks, making me feel really uncomfortable, and she is very rude. She seems to think all kids there are delinquents, and so she treats them as such. This school is complete trash, and I am happy to say Im switching schools. Good riddance!!

The aps are a bunch of ass hats especially Ms.campbell and a lot of the students are degenarets. Also teachers could careless about your grades.

I will say as a student at this school your experience also has to do with what kind of student you are if you dont listen and dont pay attention of course you wont have a good time because you dont deserve to but if you just listen and pay attention youll be fine
