I recently began lessons at the age of 59!!! I have always loved horses and it’s been a dream of mine to learn to ride for pleasure! Julie and Zuzana have been wonderful! Learning to ride has been a remarkable experience! Their knowledge and expertise have been so helpful! Just amazing experience!

I ride here and have been for about 2 years. I love everyone here and they are like family to me! The horses are well taken care of and are very good lesson horses. I fully recommend if you are looking for lessons, a boarder, or anything else.

I’ve boarded and had lessons at multiple stables, and Old Stone has been the best by far. They are willing to teach everyone from beginners to advanced riders. All of the trainers are very encouraging, and know how to help you progress, without pushing you too far out of your comfort zone. Best of all, they know how to keep the “fun” in the horse experience.

Barn Management and equine knowledge is professional and above reproach. The owner, manager, and their young managers-in- training take daily care and daily inspect the horses for health, injuries, and behavior. They genuinely Care for horses well being.Their knowledge of health and training is the best Ive seen. (Admittedly, there are trainers for specialized approaches or sporting activities, CMSA for example, that youd need to find elsewhere)Farriers come weekly. Scheduled barn visits for the vet and the chiropractor. You can hire your own but Ive never done it so dont know how that works.Facilities:1. Stalls cleaned daily (except Sunday) removing both droppings and urine. Replenish the bedding as needed, neither too much nor too little. The wash stalls cleaned daily. Birds are discouraged inside the barn and mice controlled (cat)... Ive never seen a mouse here. (Mice must be there, but Ive not seen a one)2. The indoor arenas footing is not just dirt. They add stuff to give it proper consistency. Its dragged and watered and kept level. No wet spots from roof leaks or other nonsense like Ive seen in other barns.3. A very good outdoor sand arena with jumps always available and set up. You dont have to go searching for the equipment. A second outdoor (mowed) grass arena for other misc. work. I like to use it with buckets for barrels. A third outdoor arena for rough, tall grass riding.4. A fourth large outdoor riding area, away from the arenas, configured as needed. They do contests out there. This area is adjacent to the trails in the wooded areas. The trails interlace, have two small bridges, and kept in decent shape.Plus there is lots of space outside the pastures to run with your horse at your pleasure, includes rolling and flat areas plus an intermittent stream for water practice. Also another, smaller outdoor arena to train your horse for a bridge, push a ball around, that kind of ground work stuff.5. Three large, well managed grass pastures and a dry lot. Also a lot for a horse that needs private space.6. Feed and turn out twice daily.Boarding costs vary as needed. Call & visit. I pay $450.Several trainers available depending on your needs and skills, thus, costs vary. Ive paid $30 - $60. I travel lots so when I need special treatment for my horse, they take the best care for my mare. I dont worry. No barn drama, no snooty stuff, I like and trust my fellow boarders.Mare and I are so happy here... more than two years.

Out of all the great positive reviews there will always be 1 or 2 people that seem to never be happy. Old Stone is a big family and the owners do whatever it takes to keep the horses and the riders happy.

Horses are not taken care of. The school horses are old and lame and not given the proper medical care. Lots of unsafe green horses as well. Definitely would NOT recomend!
