Third time here to schedule. I was asked to come back on a Friday. Got there an hour before they opened and basically told us to leave because they once again had no testers. This place is absolutely the worst. Waited outside on a hot porch for 3 hours for nothing. Dont waste your time… find a reputable company.

Do not come here they do not know what they are doing at all. Should be a lot more information about how you do everything because online it said no appointment needed but came here and i needed one also i called before and they said just walk it there is no appointment needed for road test but get here after an hour of driving and all i get was you need an appointment👍🏻 Should be a lot more specific about the times you can come and be more reasonable

They never answer their phones. The website says walk ins only but when you get there they’ll ask for your appointment and turn you away if you don’t have one, but there’s nowhere to make one. Don’t waste your time.

People, do not use this company! I should have taken heed from other bad reviews with cash mismanagement.Funny story, due to an expired permit by one day we were unable to take the scheduled road test. No problem, but in place of rescheduling we would prefer a refund for several reasons. The office (house) is in shambles, you must speak through a window from outside on the porch, tremendous language barrier with staff, just a bad feeling. The staff was unable to process a refund on the spot because a manager was not there. Instructed to call after 5. Called 3 more times, manager was on the road....understand where I am going with this? I left information to call me back, which of course never happened. I asked for the managers name and the employee only knew Jamiela but did not know the last name?? Could not provide manager phone number, against policy :)They are not professional in the least and certainly were trying to keep payment. I simply called my CC company and disputed/cancelled the payment.Certain that they profit at times by taking advantage of less astute or educated individuals. Shameful!

*DO NOT TAKE ROAD TEST HERE* My driving instructor was incredibly rude and discouraging. He clearly saw I was very nervous and instead of trying to be patient and reassure me, he asked rude rhetorical questions and broke my self esteem. Their rules are very unclear. They forced me to drive their car instead mine, even though there own cars are extremely broken and wouldnt have passed an inspection if I brought it in. Gave me no time to adjust my self to this incredibly old weird car. Thieves there literally just thieves!

This place is not business oriented whatsoever! They don’t answer the phone the rude lady hung up on me kept passing over my son for his test and they don’t know if they want to do walkins or appointments because neither means anything when you show up! And I found out that for an extra $50 they’ll just pass you! This place needs to be reported to the state of Michigan and the BBB.

Worst place ever to ever get your license HANDS DOWN! They are rude and can’t even drive themselves. They make you ride in death traps. Attitude problems are through the roof. Patience level is very low. Would highly not recommend this place to anyone. They are money hungry. I should’ve known something was off when I pulled up and they were doing business out of an old house.

Very unprofessional and the short lady is rude and has an attitude problem. Once she told me I couldn’t take my test because there were too many people and only one instructor. There was only three people on the porch but she still took one of the girls that were there even though there were too many people and took her money as well so now she has to sit there and hope they take her but if they don’t she gets to go back the next day and not pay and I tried to do the same and she told me I couldn’t and to make an appointment. The day before another lady told me to come in the very next day @9 to take my road test and now another lady is telling me I have make an appointment but on the website it says you don’t have to make an appointment and when I tried to call them the alarm on the phone goes off so they basically turned their phone off to calls. When I was calling my Uber (I caught an Uber there so as soon as I got there she told me I couldn’t drive today) she stuck her head out the window and asked when was I leaving and that took everything in me not to go out of character. Only reason I came to this place was because I was recommend by friends to come here and because they did same day testing without appointments. Moral of the story, they are unprofessional, disrespectful, and unreliable and I highly wouldn’t recommend going here.

I would give it a 0 star if I could. This whole place is a scam. They will fail you the first time so that you come in for a test again. The instructor confused me with him unclear instructions and bled it on me. The other reviews are totally true. These are nothing more but a bunch of thieves.

Arrived for same day road test at 545pm as a walk in. Apparently need to have an appointment and while building is open until 7 they dont take walk-in after 5. Does not say anything like that online ...

I wish I could give them a 0 star! They are very rude and unprofessional!! Go to Specialized Road Test Services!! They are truly professional and give you room to learn! Take a practice test with Mr.T and your good to go. I promise you’ll have a better experience than this place!

Okay, for this place, I gonna put on only one star. Despite the appointment, I and my daughter have waited to take the daughter’s road test for about an hour and, for a second!, Im still in a waiting process. Today I spent my time for nothing. Unprofessionalism of the high level. Ohhhh, wow! Finally, after my complaint, they invited my daughter to pass the road test already. I dont know how does this situation looks like, but in my opinion, this is a kind of discrimination. Therefore, I dont recommend this school to anybody. And for you guys, I suggest improving everything and at least studying how to apologize for your own mistakes

I took my daughter to take her road test and everything was great. They practiced COVID-19 safety methods and I was satisfied.

Such a terrible, money hungry place. The instructor is beyond rude and gives no pointers if you mess up. After failing the first time due to parking, I went to someone else to get extra driving lessons and they told me I was fine. I was able to freely park on my own and everything in one go, I wish the instructor told me what I messed up on since no one else can figure it out. Their cars suck on a snow day, all of them skid and barely break, so if you plan to take the road test on snow day, don’t bother. The one they used for my road test was VERY TINTED so I was unable to see my back.

My instructor was Mr. Ali, and he provided a great experience when I took my road test. He tried to talk to me and relate to me as a friend, which made me comfortable. The staff was nice at this location, and it is a great place to take your driving test.

Mr. Ali was my test instructor and he was very calm and direct with instructions. Stuck to the book and graded me based off my performance. Even explained to me the issues I was having and how to correct them. I PASSED

Due to Covid restrictions in place my daughter had to use one of their vehicles which was a mid size sedan that had tinted windows on all four windows plus back window. The back and front bumpers were sticking out about 7 inches from the body of the vehicle so it was difficult to know how close you were to pylon. The tinted windows made it harder to see. Not at all happy about it because it made the parking test all the more harder. Needless to say she did not pass.

Just took my test earlier it was $65. I also had to pay an additional $1 because I forgot to bring gloves ( its $3 for a mask , $1 for no gloves) . The wait time was pretty standard . I took my test Raul who is one of the driving instructors. After having a bad experience with another driving school in Hamtramck (specialized road test on Caniff), Raul made this experience amazing (I highly recommend him specifically when going there). He was very understanding, well spoken, gave clear and specific instructions and calmed my anxiety by doing these things. I passed my test and he gave me advice on what to improve in the future . Thank you Raul !!!

I went here during the quarantine as a walk in. The wait was fair for me to have arrived @9 prior to people being there before me. My driving instructor was Ed and he was genuine and straight to the point. The road test was very easy and short for those who are patient and are checking their traffic surroundings. Take your time and make sure you are prepared. I passed on my first attempt for parking and the on road test so for any first time testers 18+ just come with a positive mindset and you’ll pass. Everyone told me this place was good.. not to my experience.I went here to take my road test here about a month or two ago 2x and failed both times!They didnt give me any pointers or anything. The first time I failed because I wasnt behind the white line minor, the second time parallel parking.Anyways I went to specialized road test on Caniff St in Hamtramack and past on my first test with them .I recommend specialized road test service for anyone! Its cool for what it is... To get your license, is it in the best location.. NO. Does it have organization, for them yes. Will you feel safe NO. I didnt even know my trainers name, I cant recall the ladys name that I paid to get my test. To be real I barely fit in the car but the car had A/C the car stopped when I press the breaks and went when I pressed on the gas. The guy had good conversation until we got to the test site. But with all this judgment I got my certificate and able to get my license with no question or somebody trying to take their job to the 10th power... Will I go again sure, so why did I give them 3 stars well I paid 7 dollars for processing my credit card and 20 dollars more then everyone else charge but the problem is NOBODY ELSE IS OPEN!! So I did what I had to do to get my license, so do the same and dont worry about enjoying the experience and worry about enjoying having a license.

I went to day! I’m a teen driver, my lady instructor was very nice! She gave me tips upon tips such as the current speed, pointers for the future, how to approach turns! I did have an appointment at 9am which I scheduled a roughly 2 weeks ago, and we didn’t get started but besides that it was great!

Took my son here on a Sunday. They only charged $65 and got to use a car they provided. Another company quoted me $70+$60 for a car rental since our vehicle couldnt be used. Not the best area but definitely convenient and accommodating.

I took my test here and it was horrible. The man who gave me the test was very rude to me on when I was driving, he yelled Instead of simply telling me what I did wrong like a normal human being.(the instructor told me to turn way to late and also said if I had went straight turned around and came back down it would have been an atomic failure so the result was a wide turn which he screamed at me for and when I tried to explain he wouldn’t listen). I will not be taking my test here again and I hope the instructors learn some patience, understand, empathy, and sympathy. 😡

Ms. Ali was so wonderful. She gave positive feedback for the future. She also gave some tips for my son when approaching intersections with blind spots. Most of all, she was so positive and very friendly.

Honestly this is the best place to go to get ur kids ready for driving, It was my first ever driving and I perfectly know how to drive safely in 3 hours driving. My test is in a week I hope I pass.

I had no experience of driving whatsoever, so I got the $300 packet lesson that includes: 10hrs of driving on the road plus road test. I had a great instructor, Abdul (not sure if I spelled his name right) but he is an amazing teacher, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Well... I passed my road test and I’m just too excited. I would’ve never thought I would pass because the lack of experience I have in driving and the fear of driving also, but I did it and I am super proud of myself. Shondhan is the place to go! Highly recommended! If no one taught me how to drive and I passed you can too! Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and get your license.

My wife started training at Motor City Driving School and after the second lesson, she stopped training there because of poor instructions. She enrolled in Shondhan for training and received very good instructions. After completing 10 hours of training there she was able to pass her road test on her first attempt. She rated the driving instructors as excellent because of their professionalism and knowledge of drivers training. She highly recommends Shondhan Enterprise for those with very little driving experience.

My instructor Mr. Ali was excellent. If you do take your driving test at this facility i highly recommend him. Hes patient, and very friendly. Book your appointment in advance because it does get busy, and crowded but the wait for a walk in isnt super long. Overall though i had a great experience at Shondhan Road Test & Driving School.

Took my road test here about maybe 2 or 3 months ago, was a pretty okay experience overall, I loved the price but since I did come in later in the day, I had to wait about an hour because there was about 5 people ahead of me. I was fine with waiting, then queue the entrance of the instructor, he was nice for the most part, until we got to the actual driving test. His attitude changed completely which really shocked me, because he went from nice and easy going to kind of rude and very blunt,but I still had to focus on driving. I passed, I cant say I had an amazing experience, but the overall its a pretty good place to go if you have issues with money and cant afford other places and the people are pretty nice before you get in the car with them lol

I just left this facility. They do a piss poor job at road tests. Ali is a piss poor proctor. I asked him questions before the test began and he was extremely sarcastic. We did not even make it out of the parking lot because I asked him several times to watch his tone and the way he spoke to me. I did not pay $65 to be disrespected. I would not recommend anyone going here. Maybe it was just him as an instructor but he failed me because i checked him about the way he talked to me. Speaking to his manager does not help because its a money game for them. You would think they would put forth some effort in being decent, but its all a money game tothem.

Using covid-19 the scam people out of money. Driving test is $45. Oh wait due to Covid-19 you have to use our car $65. Credit card? Oh you pay $68. Oh no mask or gloves? You pay $70.

I booked a test for my daughter because they are open on Sunday. While she was out for test, I read reviews about the facility and many people noted unprofessional behaviour, rushing students through test, yelling by the examiner. Unfortunately it came true for my daughter. I did complain to the manager though except for the word sorry not much transpired.The roads in Hamtrammck are in terrible condition and virtually no pavement markings exist. It is a terrible place for road test. This is of course outside the control of the driving school but the attitude and professionalism is. I highly recommend take your kids elsewhere where you or your child conduct test with a professional instructor.

Best place to go! Staff is friendly. And they try and take care of you as fast as possible! I was practically in and out. Only thing is you have to get there a little early because you will have to wait. I had a awesome time and my instructor was amazing and helped me out the best he could! He was understanding and passed me! I recommend it!

Fantastic place full of very kind people. They accept walk ins for a road test and I was taken cared of quickly. I didnt sit long at all to take my road test. My instructor was nice, made me feel at ease and he was very patient with me. I received clear instructions before starting the parking portion which I passed and also received instructions while on the road. Ali was a great instructor. It was a great experience. I read the previous reviews and was a little apprehensive. ALI gave clear and concise directions throughout the test. He gave driving tips during and after the test.

So decided to write a review. Went to this place the other day and I must admit, the reviews didn’t do it any justice. I believe this place is worth 5 stars. I was greeted by two women who work at the front desk, both polite and quick with service.. My wait was only about 15 minutes, and my Instructor was great.I admit I was nervous because who wants to fail a test??? But I passed and the instructor told me that whoever taught me to drive was a great teacher. Honestly just take your time, practice and you should be fine.

Mr. Ali is the dude to go to for your drivers test. Today i passed my road test August 4th 2019. Was nervous, but went through it. He gave me advice when driving and whats best to do at the given time. To focus and remain calm at all times. Asked me if i had any questions. Mr.Ali thanks broFor those in the process of taking your road test, work on your reverse parking, parallel parking, sharper turns when turning right on the street, also accelerate with the same speed as others on the freeway, youll be fine.

The instructor was rude! and in a rush! I called prior to taking my son for his road test the lady said be sure to get here by 2pm because they only had two instructors that day. We arrived around 12:30pm used my car for the road test, the instructor sped off in my personal vehicle! I mean gunning it very careless and unprofessional ....facility is nasty I didn’t even sit down because the chairs are disgusting and dirty. Never will recommend this place to anyone!!!!

I would recommend this place to anyone needing drivers training or even just a road test. I walked in, waited about an hour and a half (about 5/6 other testers ahead of me, test takes about 45 minutes) and had the absolute best driving instructor! He has a love for animals, in my opinion a love for animals says a lot. He gave part of his lunch to a stray cat whom was feeding her kittens as we were leaving. The ease of conversation made the test go extremely well and time seemed to fly. Their building has visibility been maintained inside and out, clean restroom and extremely friendly staff!!!

My experience with Shondhan School was very nice. The teachers are well experienced. One of the teacher didnt get any ticket in past 20+ years. Its amazing! I felt the driving test route is fine with optimum traffic (at least during my lessons and exam). However, I would like to suggest to renovate both practice and test parking lot, as well as the office interior.

I took multiple lessons and my road test at this driving school and I was pleased with the results. Everyone that I encountered was courteous to me and helpful. They had a wide range of hours available for lessons which was really convenient because I had a tight schedule. Some instructors are harder to understand than others, and each instructor had a different style of teaching. This can make it more difficult to learn sometimes, but in the end all the instructors were good teachers. Overall Im grateful for the experience because I was able to pass my road test.

DONT GO HERE. I REPEAT, DONT GO HERE. A test might result in either pass or fail. This is fine. People reading the reviews of others might think that those who didnt pass the test are giving negative reviews out of frustration. But the fact is that the instructors here are cunning and do not deserve to be instructors at all. People working here are extremely unprofessional. I took a road test last week. The instructor (short old man with a beard and hat) does not speak English properly, and does not give proper instructions - just to fail you so that you come again to them and they can take your money. He is an extremely unethical and unprofessional examiner. An instructor is supposed to only give score and based on the score it is decided whether you failed or passed. This person decides, without proper scoring, whether to pass you or fail you - such an unlawful practice. He even asked me to come again next day very politely so that they can loot more money. Michigan state should take away their license of taking tests immediately. I took test in another place and passed without any trouble.

Hands down the best driving school I have ever been to. Just passed my road test today. Took the test on Thursday with another school and failed. Without exception, the most knowledgeable and empathetic instructor in any school. Highly recommend. Facility is clean and staff members are very friendly. Instructors can communicate effectively and understand the dynamics of teaching and learning. Avoid the other schools in the area that merely rip you off.

Pros:- Decent walk-in waiting times (30 mins - 1 hr)- Kind & patient teachers (at least mine was)- Nice & quick service at front desk- If you make an appointment, you’ll be taken 1st before walk-insCons:- Messed up parking lot. Holes are covered with bricks instead of being completely filled & patched. Watch out or you’ll mess up your car!- Interior needs to be updated & cleaned (decent, not filthy)Overall:A decent place to take a road test. The teachers are great, mines made me feel comfortable & not stressed at all. If you don’t want to wait long, either get there early on a weekday or make an appointment to hold a time/day.

Very straightforward. You have to pay in full in advance for an appointment. Very busy weekends, very little sitting room in the lobby. Shah made me feel very comfortable and confident. Definitely would recommend to anyone needing a road test.

I failed my first test and it was my fault but a week later I went back and I passed. The instructors are nice and relaxed and they encourage you. I prefer this driving school over the one on Cadieux and 94.

Took my test on 8/14/2016. Very wonderful experience! Whole staff was very kind and tried to make me comfortable about taking my test! It is not impossible to pass the test. At the end of my test my examiner gave me tips on how to improve my driving, as well. Listen to the directions your examiner gives you and drive very carefully and you will do great! I am very appreciative of Shondhan and their staffing as well as their services. Would definitely recommend.

I waited two hours today 8/18/20 to take my road test and then the guy failed me and I couldn’t even drive I’mma a very good driver and a good Parker those marks were not meant at all don’t go here you’ll waste your time and MONEY
