Chandler Park Academy is really a great school. Its on the border of Detroit and Harper Woods, but the school is really diverse. The faculty is dedicated to the success of each and every student. Any review that was made about Chander Park Academy that was negative is simply a student who isnt used to any form of structure. Yes, CPA is a strict school on things such as academic achieve, dress code, attendance, and behavior. But what todays society fail to realize is that a parent sends their child to school to received a valuable education. Chandler Park Academy delivers just that! Im an upcoming senior c/o2017 and I feel that my school has truly, utterly, and wholeheartedly prepared me for college and the real world!

Elementary school principal and dean of students are so much more professional than the middle school staff , I spoke to the dean of students regarding a issue with my son that seriously needs to be addressed. She has not resolved nor contacted me, when I call she is not available nor has she returned my call! CPA. Used to be a good school.

Parents please do not send your kids to this God Forsaken awful Trash of a school!!!!!!!!!!!! My son is in the 6th grade and this is by far the most Horrifically disgusting piece of trash of a school I have ever seen in all my child’s years of getting an education. I will start with the Math teacher Mrs. Golden, her name certainly doesn’t match her work ethics the school requested that we download this app to correspond with the teachers, she is the only teacher that is available on this app. She sends us homework on this app at 7pm or later that’s due the next day when it’s almost time for me to put my son to bed. Since my son has a different way of learning I thought this would be a good way to correspond with her. My son struggles in Math so I paid for him to have a private touring the tutor said that my son was doing very well and she did not see why he was struggling. I informed Mrs. Golden of the good reviews my child was receiving from the tutor who is also a math teacher and kindly asked her what was his weak and strong points so his tutor could help him accordingly .The app shows me she read the messages but days and days go by and she never responded back than she sent me a message saying she would e-mail me she than blocked me and she still has not called. I than called the Principle to get the issue resolved. The Principle of the school Mr. Williams, was an even bigger Mess he was rude, unprofessional, lacking empathy, argumentative, verbally attacking me with malice like I was the wrong one when I am a parent trying to secure my sons progression/success. He was a bully. He clearly has no concern for the well being of my child’s success and that is the energy I get from most of the so called educators at this God forsaken offal school. I am assuming from his looks he may have signed up for the job so he can eat up all the food in the Cafeteria he does not posses leadership skills or passion for his profession he has no diplomacy, professionalism, concern and he does not need to be a Principle of a school he is not qualified. These kids are not well behaved a 7th grade boy threaten to rape my son in the boys bathroom, another child broke in his locker and pissed on his shorts, another child that was a friend of my son was bullied so bad he was put in a Comma. This school is disgusting!!!!!!

It’s a good school for kids who wanna skip and not learn anything and if you don’t want a teacher come to cpa cause we have no permanent teachers there to stay barely. 🖕🏾😘

I just finished the school year and i hate this school ! Teachers act more like one of us than stepping in and helping. I don’t know about the high school and elementary, but the middle school is terrible! You will feel more like your in jail rather than school. They’re so strict on school uniforms rather than behavior. This is my last year at this hell hole they call a school. Never in a million years would I recommend this school. If you are planning attending this school make sure you pack a lunch because other wise you will starve, the food is terrible. This review is not because I’m a kid that doesn’t see “what they are trying to do for us”, its simply because it is terrible. Kids are bullied, the teachers don’t care, the administrators have nasty attitudes, and the kids act like they have no home training. My mom hates this school just as much as I do. I’ve witnessed the teacher MS.MOORE on FaceTime WHILE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE TEACHING. The social studies teacher MRS.FULLER is so horrible. She told my friend that she was a bad influence and a horrible person. But she doesn’t acknowledge the kids that have a failing grade, “its on them”. No, it’s because these children don’t have any motivation to want to come in there and learn. Now, MRS.TIMBUC is the worst math teacher i have ever encountered. She can’t even make eye contact when talking to my mom. There is way to many people who have had failing grades in here class. She piles homework about things she has not all the way taught and doesn’t help the kids who stuggles in math. Students that I’ve helped with their work have told me I’m a better teacher than her. She fails to put the work into the grade book which many students have witnessed. The consolers that they have are terrible. They try to blame everything on the child which is not okay. But I have no bad things to say about Mrs.Chapman. The lunch staff have verbally insulted many students and threatened to slap them. Not only that the school is filthy. There have been bed bugs and roaches spotted in the school. Also, all the stalls in the girls bathroom is broken and its always smelly and unsanitary in there. Some of the classrooms have no air conditioning. Mrs.Fuller told us if we didn’t stop taking she would close the windows, turn of the fan, and close the door. All that to try to get air in the room and the room still was scorching hot. HORRIBLE. There is a fight almost everyday. Kids are kissing in class and the teacher says nothing. Mr.Washington is a creep. He winks at the girls, looks at their butt, and always calls them baby girl. He also says people who are failing his class out loud. If you report it they will say you are lying and go back to class. This school is horrible do not send your child here!

Chandler Park Academy High school is by far the worst school Ive ever been to. I wish there were more school options for me to choose so i didnt have to deal with the people who work there. High school is supposed to be a memorable moment, but its not at Chandler Park! There are numerous of unprofessional teachers who paint their nails on the job not caring about students allergies, claiming it to be grooming and teachers who get to say and do what they want because of their title as a TEACHER. Chandler park is supposedly a COLLEGE PREP school, but focus more on the students who play sports and writing kids up for not having on proper uniform rather than actually focusing on , um let me think important stuff like ACADEMICS! There is nothing to look forward to waking up everyday to come to this hole. They have the most horrible lunch, DPS food is even better. I would not recommend this school to anyone child, its all about the favoritism and sports! Most of the administrators have very nasty attitudes! In the morning instead of greeting kids with a simple Good morning Its more of a GO TO CLASS, CLOSE THAT LOCKER ,WHERE ARE YOUR SCHOOL SHOES, TUCK THAT SHIRT IN,HURRY UP,YOUR LATE. Chandler Park has the most unconscionable people ever! Do you actually think yelling early in the morning is going to get us to class any faster? You never know what a child is going through at home and your in the halls yelling to the top of your lungs ruining everyones morning! Oh yeah did i forget to mention the horrible security staff? There has been many occasions where security guards are the ones who condone fights and struggle to break them up! The classes are over capacity with no air conditioned , never enough of chairs or desk for students! There was even a point of time when about 10 students had to sit on the dirty floor for half of the hour until they stole a chair from someone else in their class. If Chandler Park really cared about their students they would spend less time making unnecessary rules and focus on the necessities of graduating with Knowledge.When theres been kids on academic probation since they were in middle school! and actually becoming something in life and not working at MCDONALDS years after they graduated! And there is much much more but i dont feel like typing the rest, but OVERALL IT IS FAR FROM A GOOD SCHOOL! Your Welcome!

Its not bad but its not great i been there since 1st grade until 6th grade but now im leaving. Becuz more and more ghetto kids comin so im going to Haper woods middle school but comin back in High school there high school is great and offers alot of programs
