Little Learners have helped our family tremendously by offering quality care for our infant daughter. We have just relocated few months ago and were looking for a good daycare. We visited a lot of highly recommended daycare facilities and even tried a different daycare. At the end of the day, we chose Little Learners due to the caring teachers, friendly and warm environment as well as positive and educational learning environment. We are very happy that our daughter is in good hands whenever we drop her off. She really looks forward to going to her classroom every morning.

Little Learners is by far the best daycare. My daughter joined Little learners at 2 years old after experiencing many awful daycares in the area. I thought their was no hope to finding that close to perfect daycare. Little learners was our saving grace. They go above and beyond to give the best education/ fun to your child. They allow me to work and not worry about my childs safety as the doors have a lock code before entering the building, another locked door before going to where the kids are,and every room is equipped with a camera. The teachers communicate daily with you on your childs day and what they are working on in the classroom. The owners go out of their way to say hello when they see you and always check to see if they need to improve in any areas of your childs learning. Ive never met more kind and caring business owners. This is truly a one of a kind daycare.

I did not have a good experience there. I do not recommend it! The Londonderry School provided my daughter with a much better learning experience. The parent and family support was also very rewarding!

Our journey with Little Learners began when we were looking for summer care for our two boys, ages 3 and 5. We were fortunate to have my mother and mother-in-law care for our children up until this point, but the demands two rowdy boys were putting on our aging mothers was getting to be too much. At the same time we were trying to decide what we were doing with my oldest and kindergarten. Our district only offers half day kindergarten and for two working parents the logistics of transportation and before and after school care was daunting.I researched area centers and was referred to Little Learners from a co-worker. From my first initial contact with Little Learners, they proved to be a shining star. Lisa was very responsive and extremely accommodating. I scheduled a tour and was immediately impressed with their professionalism, care, and engagement with our family. We knew right away this was the place for our boys. Little Learners provided a wonderful transition for our children as well, offering trial days for them to come in and test out their new school. On their first trial day, Lisa reached out to me to let me know how they were doing and was incredibly supportive and respectful regarding my first-time day care worries. I know my children are in wonderful hands at Little Learners.I cannot say enough wonderful things about their curriculum and programs as well. My oldest has blossomed in kindergarten, both socially and academically. Mrs. Kelly is phenomenal and provides the perfect balance of structure and care. The class sizes are small so your child has plenty of individual attention and their program well surpasses any other kindergarten (and even 1st grade) curriculum. I am amazed at what my child is learning and he is having a wonderful time doing it! His vocabulary has expanded significantly and is starting to read on his own. He can count money and tell time. He’s even learning Spanish! I am confident we are giving our son a great head start in school because of the Little Learners kindergarten. All of the teachers and caregivers at Little Learners are fantastic. They are personable, kindhearted, and truly love our children. They go above and beyond to make each child feel special and foster an atmosphere family in their facility. You will not find a better place or better people to care for your children. Little Learners is an amazing school with a top rate team and wonderful, caring owners.

My wife and I have been trusting our 2 kids with Little Learners for roughly 2.5 to 3 years and they have been worth EVERY PENNY. The investment we have made with them has paid in exponential dividends from our child’s mental, emotional, and academic development. The education they have received there has performed beyond our expectation.Conventiently located 1.5 miles from the Rt 322/I81 split access to them is a piece of cake. The facility is the “Porsche” of Daycares in quality, cleanliness and ambience. The staff, led by the owners Lisa and Gary have made such an impact on our children’s lives we feel as if they are an extended family. They have made such a long-lasting impression on our whole family that, in fact, when we moved from Halifax Pa to Mechanicsburg Pa that even though the commute made zero logistical sense for us we decided to not uproot our kids from their Little Learners Family!Oh and by the way the food so good and well balanced there that our kids ALWAYS eat what is offered; they don’t even do that at home, it’s line pulling teeth! Again we cannot thank the staff and leadership at Little Learners enough. They are the GOLD STANDARD of childcare in the state of Pennsylvania and beyond.Sincerely,Erick, Justine, Layten Leigh and Landon Joel Rittle.

Little Learns and the team of professionals that work there are amazing. My son started at LLCDC when he was 4 1/2. He had been at a horrible home daycare. The professionals at LLCDC educated, loved, and nurtured my son in both preschool and kindergarten. By the time he was ready for first grade he was doing double digit math problems and had 150+ sight words. This was accomplished with guidance, love, and discipline.Thank you Lisa, Cathy, Bonnie, and Kelly for giving of yourselves to help build a nice, smart, sensitive, caring young man.

For the first 2 1/2 years of his life, my son was in a private home daycare where he was nurtured and well taken care of...then unexpectedly, his daycare provider fell ill and could not take care of him anymore. I called Little Learners immediately (since I heard many rave reviews from some parents I knew) and was invited in for a tour and orientation. The center was kept extremely clean, the administrators and staff were very passionate and supportive and the children who were attending the center were well taken care of. I knew this was the place for my son. At first, I was extremely nervous because I knew the environment would be completely different for him as well as the structure. How would he react? How would he transition? Lisa and her staff were amazing with helping to make the transition as smooth as possible. Now there were some bumps along the road, which I think is to be expected with this type of change, but Lisa and her staff handled it with such encouragement, confidence and reassurance. Within a couple of weeks, my son adjusted to his new surroundings and began to flourish beyond my expectations. He was talking more, discovered a love for books, participated in a variety of activities and was absolutely thrilled to have so many friends to play with...his teachers were the apples of his eyes too! It has almost been a year now since he began at LLCDC...and my son continues to amaze me with what he learns at school. Now there has been a couple of times when his behavior has had to be addressed...and each time, Lisa would call me and ask me to come in to discuss the situation. Each time we sat down, Lisa would explain the issue and would offer her suggestions on how we could handle it. She is professional, compassionate, supportive and always wants the best for my son. Lisa wants to see my son succeed and treats him as if he was one of her own. Being a first time mom, this is so reassuring. I made a decision to put my baby boy in her care, therefore, I gave her and her staff my trust...and I dont regret it one bit! Thank you Lisa, Gary, Denise and the rest of the LLCDC staff...you all are amazing and we are blessed to have you all in our lives!

I have had a relationship with LLCDC since my daughter was 6 weeks old. She will be turning 8 in a few weeks. The staff have ALWAYS treated my daughter with the greatest of care. They have also become an extended part of our family due to the warmth and love we feel when we are in their presence. Several friends and friends of friends have asked me about LLCDC and I have always given them this advice: You will not go wrong with choosing the staff and service provided by LLCDC. I am a teacher and I have heard other teachers and administrators expressing how they can tell LLCDC children from children who have attended other care facilities in the highest positive regard. If I am blessed with other children, there is no doubt as to where they will attend preschool. Thank you so much for all youve done. These words alone cannot express the gratitude I feel for how youve helped my daughter become the wonderful young lady she is today.

I am a local middle school teacher so I was looking for very specific things when I went visiting Harrisburg daycares. Is the environment/relationship between employees relaxed and friendly? Do the teachers have a discipline policy, but also work to encourage a positive environment of good behavior and organization? Is the environment updated, stimulating and fun? Do the teachers engage with their students and not just sit on the side-lines? Are bonds created? Are the students considered advanced if they take this daycare’s curriculum and transition into a public school? Are the classrooms transparent and open? Are the classrooms clean and well-organized? Is the daycare diverse?I choose to send my daughter to Little Learner’s after visiting a few daycares they have in the upper Harrisburg area and being able to answer “yes” to all of the questions above. I also talked with a couple of parents who raved about the Little Learner’s Kindergarten Program. It is a smaller daycare compared to some of the corporate or public daycares. Everyone (the staff) knows each other and the teachers really work as a team to help each other out. Miss Lisa’s (the director, one of the previous reviewers called her Kim?) daycare is well-organized and clean. I really love the open door policy that she has with her team of teachers and parents. The classroom doors are always open except maybe for sleep time when it has to be dark in the room. Parents are free to visit or stay with their child at any time without notice. We recently had to move and there were tears on everyone’s part. I really miss this daycare and while I think I have found a typically nice one where we live now I can’t cut and paste this review for them. It is nothing compared to what I saw/experienced at Little Learner’s.Miss Lisa (who was previously a teacher before she created Little Learner’s) really cares for “her children” and parents and makes sure her teachers are well-taken care of and supported which, in turn, creates an upbeat environment for everyone! My daughter’s teachers at Little Learners were very alert and responsive to any questions or concerns that I had (and being a first time mom I am sort of a helicopter mom). At one point my daughter was aggressive and bit another child. Her teachers and Miss Lisa helped me to understand that this was a stage and they gave me a lot of helpful tips to get my daughter to share and encourage positive and appropriate behavior. I was able to copy the strategies they were using at the daycare at home with my daughter so we would be working as a team and my daughter would see consistent responses throughout her entire day (daycare to home).I found the environment in Little Learner’s very warm and inviting. The people that work there have made themselves one big family. The teachers always smiled and greeted you at any time of the day. They have a lot of celebrations and special days and go all out on holidays. My daughter learned some basic sign language, drawing, painting, singing, clapping and dancing. Her teachers were FUN and enjoy working there. They were very open and friendly with me coming in and out of their classrooms. My daughter also had constipation problems and Miss Lisa along with our pediatrician suggested switching her to a lactose free diet giving her soymilk at daycare. She suggested this in a series of emails she sent to us at 9pm on a Friday evening which goes to show where her priorities are. I highly recommend this daycare if you are looking for one in Harrisburg.
