Very high quality house inspection

Absolutely great. We are first time home buyers and were pretty uneasy about the home inspection part of the house buying process. Almost all of our fears were silenced due to our inspector being diligent, objective, thorough, and honorable throughout the entire process. He was on time and started right away turning on everything in the house and systematically going through each room and utility while explaining what he was looking for and doing. When we had questions for him he stopped to explain everything that we had questions about and took the time to educate us as needed. We really appreciated that. He even crawled under a 1930s barn crawl space to check the foundation and supports! Dont expect every inspector to do this, our inspector was a solid dude and was true to his word when he said he would.After the inspection you get around a 90 page document, yes 90, and this data is extremely helpful and detailed. We heard from some that the verbiage within this document could sound alarmist, but in my opinion it was very objective and honest. If something isnt up to code then they will tell you and you have to make the best decision you can with that data. I suggest pouring a nice stiff drink and reading through it slowly when you get it.We wholeheartedly recommend ABC Home Inspection, and if we ever need a home inspection again we will be going right back to them.

I am a real estate Broker and I attended and inspection that ABC had provided the inspector for. His name was Andy. I see a lot of inspections so Ive come to be able to tell which ones do a good job. This inspector was extremely knowledgeable, extremely detail-oriented and he was very nurturing as well. He was happy to stop several times and asked if I had any questions and he would ask the buyer of the property as well. What really stands out to me is that usually the inspector wants the real estate agent to be quiet so the inspection can go faster. But this inspector was not in an obvious hurry. He answered all my questions and educated me on several fine points of things that are important to the good health of a building. And, he had a great personality and was happy and upbeat through the entire process. He was extremely thorough. I give my highest recommendation to this company.

Place is the absolute BEST! Andy somehow has the gift of turning 6 hours of continuing construction education into 6 hours of enjoyable fun. Highly recommend!

I recently completed the salesperson pre-licensing classes at ABC Training Institute and am very satisfied with my experience. Andy is a great teacher and extremely knowledgeable on all course material. He also provides plenty of useful study tips and practice questions to prepare for the exam. The office is open six days a week allowing additional access and ability to complete the classes on a quick basis. Highly recommended.

Very professional, great report, best investment I ever made. The inspector did not tell me about most flaws at the visit but described them in detail in the report (I suspect he does not badmouth a property in front of the selling agent).

I scheduled a home inspection and a radon air test with ABC Home Inspection. While calling to schedule, I wasn’t sure which Radon Air test to do and I felt that both the woman who answered the phone and her manager she passed the phone to both did a great job in explaining the two tests and I did not feel pressured to do the most expensive one, which I did anyways.The home inspector, Robert, was very personable and explained everything in simple terms to me. This was my first home inspection that I’ve ever had so he definitely walked me through everything in a way that I felt I had a good grasp on what he was telling me. I received the thorough report not that long after the inspection. When the 48-hr Radon test was done, I received that report less than an hour after the machine was picked up.From my original phone call, to receiving the reports, my experience with ABC Home Inspection was phenomenal and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

ABC is one of the worst inspectors for an older home. The inspector missed tile flooring with asbestos... easily visible in known in the industry of home sales and buys...he also missed extensive termite damage...He notes a small area, but did not investigate further. He did not document three bee hives in the basement...easily visible. He did not document well. He took photos but did not include in our paid for report as he promised. . . is the norm for inspections. I would never recommend or hire. Would give zero stars...would never have bought this home with a more accurate inspection.

I thought they did a fine job until a year and a half after moving into our home we had a duct work company come out to clean our chimneys and dryer vent only to find out that our dryer was not venting any air to the outside. All mechanical venting is supposed to be checked by a home inspector in New Hampshire, and when I checked the report, the inspector had chosen IA which means inaccessible. Theres no way that is an accurate assessment because all you need to do to test this is run the dryer and check the vent outside and the couple we bought the house from had a dryer hooked up when we bought they house (they left it for us to keep) and the dryer vent is easily accessible about 8 feet up just to the side of the garage; I am 511 and can reach it without any assistance and it can be easily reached by someone shorter with just a step stool or even standing on the stone wall next to the garage (see the attached photo). I contacted the company in writing which is what they request you do if you have any issues with their inspection and they ask for 10 days to respond. I wanted to give them the opportunity to rectify the situation, but they never responded, so I feel obligated to write a negative review (something I very rarely do) to help others make informed decisions about which inspection company they choose. I ended up stuck having to pay $800 to repair the vent (something I would’ve requested the sellers fix); thankfully, when they came out to replace the vent, they found no mold in the walls and ceiling because that would’ve driven up the cost immensely. This was such a huge miss on something that is both incredibly easy to check and required by the state to be checked by all licensed inspectors - from the NH Home Inspection Laws, Rules, and Regulations taken directly from ABC’s home inspection report: “(ae) When inspecting the insulation and ventilation the home inspector shall inspect:(1) Insulation in unfinished spaces;(2) Ventilation of attics and foundation areas; and(3) Mechanical ventilation systems.”.

We were very pleased with our home inspection, the informative report provided, and the additional feedback that Andy offered throughout the process.
