My daughter and I both train here, and felt extremely welcomed from the moment we stepped into the gym. Coach Julio and coach Nil are both fantastic teachers, and ambassadors of the sport. My 8 year old daughter does Jiu Jitsu here and the staff is amazing! They’re kind and disciplined, exactly what my daughter needs. Julio, Nil, and the other coaches take the extra time to help her with things she may not understand and give her extra explanations, she’s new so it’s nice she doesn’t feel discouraged. Coach Eric has taken the time to do really make sure she in confident and learns the moves while she practices. He’s also cheering for her and making her feel like she’s doing phenomenal. We were first introduced to Binda Jiu Jitsu in January 2020. Our two children, aged 4 and 7, instantly loved training at the school. Coach Julio has created a program where students are able to understand and apply the techniques taught. The Best BJJ In the Area from top to bottom. Coach Julio Binda is a legit Brazilian Black Belt with great instruction and his wife is so sweet. There kids program is 2nd to none and that can be seen in local competitions. Most of the Adults students are very technical. Come try a class and experience a great family environment.

I searched for a few years to find a program/sport that would provide my boys with a mixture of cardio, focus, and energy release. We tried everything. I asked around a lot. So on a whim, on a Sunday, I placed a call. Nil got back to me same day and told me to bring my boys down for the first week to try it out. No expectations, no pressure, just come down and see how it goes. I observed the instruction the first week. We signed up immediately. The growth I have seen in my children has been worth it. They are challenged every time they attend a class. Community is the word that best describes this program. I am excited to see where my boys go with this. I hope this is a lifelong journey for them. Since starting Binda Jiu Jitsu it has been a new and exciting journey. As a college athlete with no prior background in Jiu Jitsu the workouts and training are up-tempo. I started my search for a Jiu Jitsu gym just when Covid-19 had all gyms shut down. Julio Binda was mentioned many times when asking other practitioners for recommendations for a gym close to home.I reached out through facebook and Nil Binda kept in contact with me, keeping me informed of their reopening. I attended my first class and was very impressed.Julios students were respectful and disciplined. In one class I could recognize Julios great leadership skills and his ability to adapt to the level of the students when coaching them individually. After just one class I felt I wanted to be part of their team.I have been able to go a few nights a week for over a month now and I am grateful every time I have the opportunity to roll with him. His students are a great reflection of his knowledge of the art and his ability to pass that knowledge on to others.

I’ve been going for almost 3 weeks now and it’s been an amazing experience.If you come in with zero experience they will ease you into the sport. You can go at your own pace. As a child I trained in martial arts for many years and have always appreciated both the physical and mental training and discipline it provided me throughout my life. For the past year, my wife and I tried to find a martial arts school that was the right fit for our boys (5 & 8). After visiting several studios, we found Binda Jiu Jitsu and went in for a trial class. After just spending a few minutes with Julio and Nil, we knew this was going to be a good experience for our family. The boys have now been training there for several months. The coaching team is dedicated, caring and motivational. Julio and Nil go above and beyond to make sure all the students feel comfortable and confident. They truly care about every student and family. My boys respect the coaches and listen carefully to instruction and correction. The classes are a nice mix of both skills practice and live training, with strength training and some games as well. Both our boys are exhausted and proud of the work they put into each class. After many years of experience in a standup martial arts style I decided just about a year ago that I wanted to try a grappling art and narrowed my choices down to a couple of local businesses. After a lot of research on the school, its affiliations and Coach Julios lineage, which many in the martial arts community find important, I chose Binda Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I do not regret the choice. Coach Julio communicates well. His understanding and experience with the techniques, which are very complex show through his ability to explain the techniques simply. In the world of Japanese martial arts, the meaning of a technique is known as bunkai, and its quite clear that coach Julio has an firm grasp on the bunkai of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The school environment is also friendly. Students are respectful to one another regardless of age or gender, and coach Julio makes sure that everyone practices safely to help ensure that everyone is learning and having fun. Ill also add that despite the interruption of the pandemic Coach Julio, Nil and the whole Binda staff have handled the entire situation with a high level of professionalism. I had been a little apprehensive about joining, but as I recently started Ive been enjoying it immensely. Highly recommend this BJJ school. Julio Binda is a high level black-belt competitor and a dedicated teacher, multiple classes are available 7 days a week for adults and kids, in a very clean and welcoming gym. Binda BJJ has a lot of practitioners of all levels, ages both male and females (which is always a good sign). Practice is very well structured and organized. A strong emphasis is made on teaching with a curriculum in place, the coach will guide you through the techniques and correct your errors. They also offer online videos to help you study at home or on the road. Rolling is done in a safe environment with welcoming students, higher belts guiding and advising you, allowing improvement while preventing injuries.

I have been doing BJJ for a few months and I absolutely love training at Binda! Julio is a very knowledgeable coach who uses a great method for teaching his students. He will spend a week working on a specific guard/ position, and every day in fundamentals we learn a different sweep or submission in said position, which is a easy and great way to become familiar with learning new techniques. Julio also brings in other high level belts to help him demonstrate techniques as well as coach us while we are learning.I also feel a lot of people are hesitant to join BJJ clubs because they feel as though they will be roughed up by the other students, that is not the case here. The other students, and especially the higher belts, will understand if you are new to BJJ or grappling all together and let you set the pace when rolling. This allows you to practice techniques with resistance while also doing so in a comfortable manner without the risk of being injured or beat up.Overall it is a very accepting and friendly environment that is easy to make friends in as well as effectively learn BJJ. If you have any interest in BJJ at all, they offer a free week trial to any prospective members. I highly recommend and love training at Binda!

My youngest son has been training for the last 6 months with Coach Julio, Coach Nil and the coaching team. The coaches continuously encourage him to get stronger physically and mentally and to never give up. It has been a wonderful experience as a parent to see my son grow more confident in his ability to defend himself and exercise discipline and respect. Extremely comfortable environment with a good mix of beginners and advanced martial artists. As a beginner, Ive noticed the sport is very challenging but it doesnt take long to appreciate the physical and cognitive benefits. Julio is highly skilled not only at BJJ but as an instructor, keeping the class focused and fun. My 5 year old daughter has been training at Binda Jiu Jitsu for almost 2 months now. We both absolutely love it!! The coaches are so welcoming, upbeat and always have a smile on their face. One day my fiancé convinced me to try Jiu Jitsu with him after work at Binda. I was tentative at first because it was something new, but it has turned out to be the best decision. I have been a student for about two months now and I can certainly say I have found a second home. Nil and Julio are such amazing people. Their studio not only provides a competitive atmosphere but it’s a place where strangers become a family. When I first started at Binda, I had a small amount of knowledge about this practice. Coach Julio and Nil both worked with me each step of the way ensuring that I understood each move. Although learning something new can be intimidating, Coach Julio and Nil certainly made it worth while. We have been sending our son to Julio Binda BJJ for two years, starting when he was 4. This is not just BJJ, this is a big family of people who love jiu jitsu. My son has gone from being very shy around adults and peers, to a strong and confident little man. Plus he is learning self-defense, respect, and making so many wonderful friends. When I brought my son here at the age of 5, I was looking for a place for him to exert energy, after 1 class he was hooked. Binda BJJ offers real life grappling techniques for all ages (escaping chokes, self defense, take downs...) The MOST important thing that Julio and Nil teach is compassion and respect for your training partners and opponents, which at a young age is tough to teach. My preteen began Julio Bindas Brazilian Jui-jitsu classes over a year ago. As a Mom, I am extremely impressed and grateful for this experience. The studio is a place of warm energy and exceptence. Aside from my faith and my family there has been very few things that have positively impacted my family more than JBJJ. This is the best jiu jit su academy, i started training in 2009 with coach Julio at the time the school wasnt big, it was like 7 other people and myself, a friend from work refered me to Julio, i was living like 45 minutes away and tried a few MMA gyms prior, as soon as i came in i said this is the place that i want to train, I was driving every day to train with him, Why? because at the moment that i walked in, i was part of a family and the way that Julio Teach makes every technique very easy to learn but not only that, he addopted me as another brother, and this is with every single person that walks in to his gym, him and Nil (his wife) are the greaters people in the entire world and i watched the academy grow from 7 guys in a little space to a big academy with close to a 100 students, and all of the grow that the team is having is because the dedication and the way that Nil and Julio treat his students and familes, i will say there is no other school like this out there and that is why i still trainnig here and i have to drive an hour plus to get here because i moved more up north, if i could give 100 stars review i will give 1000 starts, i recommend everyone to come over and train with us, come over you will see what i am talking about.

I did karate until I was eight years old and when I was around eight, I realized it wasn’t for me. At the last karate school I was a student at, the teacher introduced a little jiujitsu, and I absolutely loved it, so I moved on from karate and my parents found Julio Binda BJJ. Coach Binda and all the other coaches are awesome and so good with kids. The kids program is fantastic and the adult classes are great for beginners looking to try jiujitsu, people who have previously trained at other jiujitsu schools, and students that have moved through the ranks with Coach Binda, or in other words, they are good for everybody. I am so happy I found jiujitsu and this February will have been training for four years.

This is an excellent place to practice martial arts !!! The teacher is very professional, he has a lot of knowledge, experience, but above all he is very friendly. I cant even imagine training anywhere else. Because they have a family atmosphere here, you feel comfortable from the moment you enter the door and all the other students make you feel welcome. And they also have some of the best childrens programs in the area.
