Obtained a private pilot license in about six months of training. On the weekends, weather permitting. Stayed under what I budgeted for it. Was a great experience and cant recommend Coeur dAlene Aviation and Maintenance enough. Shouts out to Tony, an outstanding instructor. The learning experience has beat anything I’ve experienced in academia or elsewhere, easy.

It was great. The owners are absolutely the best and I mean the best. Glen the pilot was even better. It was a smooth ride and done a touch and go on the water. Very professional operated organization.

I flew out of this FBO pursuing my instrument rating, and I have nothing but good things to say regarding the business ran here. The instructor cadre is top notch, the aircraft are well equipped with updated navigation equipment for full RNAV capabilities, and the employees are always extremely professional. My instructor Tony, came from an ATP school and brought a wealth of knowledge to the table that I am not used to seeing at a Part 61 establishment. As is with any thing in life, you only get out what effort you put in. While I passed my instrument checkride on the first try, with barely having the minimum FAA experience requirements, I was also dedicated and studious. If you are willing to dedicate yourself to your study, I would fully expect the same result. This place will set you up for success!

I have flown out of KCOE with Jeff Fouche at Latitude Aviation for close to three years now. His facility is top of the line and is constantly getting updates. The planes are well maintained and are a joy to fly with both tail wheel and tricycle gear options. DO TAILDRAGGER! Jeff and all of the other CFI staff at latitude really know their stuff and will ensure your safe and proficient engagement with the joy of flight! I will continue to fly with Latitude as long as I live in the Spokane and Coeur dAlene area due to their impeccable service, knowledgeable and experienced staff and cost efficient flying options!

One of the best instructors you will find anywhere. With a Mechanical Engineer background Jeff and his team understand the aircraft systems as well as anyone. It starts with systems and an organized mastery learning approach to instruction. Jeff has an amazing staff and he is an awesome instructor. If you need High Performance, Tail Wheel, Complex, Multi Engine, Instrument, Commercial, or even starting from the very beginning this is the place to go. #blueskiesmatter

Latitude Aviation is a great place to learn to fly. They actually have a wide assortment of airplanes to choose from, as well a state of the art (FAA approved) flight simulator. The flight simulator is a fantastic tool for learning basic concepts, and it does not drain your wallet in rental and fuel costs. One of the best things about Latitude is that they offer online courses for ground school, as well mountain flying courses. If you are going to fly in the northwest, you need to get some mountain flying instruction. Latitude has you covered.

I chose Latitude Aviation as my flight school due to the variety of aircraft available for training. I chose the mighty Cessna 175 Taildragger and have loved every minute of it. Jeff has a great selection of instructors available and offers training 7 days a week, which worked out well for my schedule. My 18-year-old wants to get his PPL now and Jeff and his crew at Latitude are the only choice!

Started with Jeff back before he started Latitude and its been an amazing experience learning to fly with him. Becoming a pilot has been a dream since I was maybe 5 years old, and Jeff took the time to tailor a teaching strategy unique to my needs and my learning pace. Hes always patient, understanding, and just a blast to fly with. I would highly recommend that anyone who wants to fly come and check out Latitude, and take an orientation flight. Be careful though, because once you take that first flight youll be hooked!

Latitude Aviation is going places, and flying with them is a great choice. Now that they have a multi-engine, complex airplane, I feel confident recommending them to future commercial students as well as future backcountry and tailwheel pilots. I still feel that primary training is where they shine brightest, but its good to know you can start here at zero, and not have to shift gears and tactics midway through your training to get to hero.Jeff and Anny, the owners, have really pitched out the old ideas of what a mom-n-pop flight school is, and created something unique here. The hangar is comfortable, and the office/classroom is heated and cooled. The planes are all strikingly clean and well maintained. Furthermore, the planes have been chosen for their suitability to Northern Idahoan flying adventures. Finally, you can go joyriding for cheap, or choose to take the whole family camping without needing to belong to 3 clubs to have access to the right planes.I would say that the training here is slower-paced. This school isnt all about racking up those ratings in record times. All the instructors want to see smooth, comfortable, deliberate action on the part of students before building on that foundation or turning them loose. The benefit to this is two-fold -- you never feel that you are building or relying on shaky skills, and secondly, if you must take a break for extended bad weather (always a possibility up north) you really dont backslide half as much as youd expect. Once the knowledge is in there, Latitude really likes to gronk it in there pretty tight. For those of you thinking about a sightseeing tour of N. Idaho, or a chartered flight into our woods -- this is a great way to enjoy N. Idahos wonderful geography and our wildlife. Especially our beautiful raptors. I regularly fly with golden eagles and hawks off the wingtip. My especial recommendation for flightseers would be to go see the St. Joe river -- its stunning year round.

This is a great place to get training and rent aircraft. I got my PPL and tailwheel at the same time in the Champ which is a joy to fly. I also got some training in the mighty 175 tailwheel which was a blast. Now I have purchased a Maule and Latitude Aviation provided the training required by my insurance company and my high performance endorsement. Jeff Fouche has great skill and knowledge of mountain flying, so I hired him to take me for my first trip into the mountains of central Idaho. This was a very valuable and worthwhile experience, especially learning and practicing the Canyon Turn! They have tricycle gear, tailwheel and multi-engine, plus a great simulator to cover all of your training needs.

I HIGHLY recommend Latitude Aviation.I have been working on obtaining my private pilots license. Working with Ian Hupp as my CFI in the Champ has been a blast along with all I have l learned and experienced with my hours of training. The crew at Latitude Aviation are a great group of guys. Jeff, Ian, Jaxon, and Jackson are very knowledgeable and more than willing to take the time to help and answer any questions. I have enjoyed my time flying, learning, and talking with all the guys even on a personal level.I will be furthering my education with Latitude Aviation until I reach my goal of becoming a CFI myself. I would highly recommend giving this crew the opportunity to be your first stop for your aviation needs, training or refreshers. Thank you guys and I look forward to many more hours of training.Darren Jackson Jr.

Coeur dAlene flight school, Latitude Aviation, has provided me with a great experience in learning to fly. Ive always wanted to learn how to fly and after meeting with Jeff Fouche and Dan Jones at Latitude I knew this was the right flight school. They offer multiple certified flight instructors and have multiple airplanes available for rent, including two tail wheel. Ive never had trouble scheduling a lesson. The provided syllabus allows me to keep track of my progress and what I should be studying and practicing during my solo flights. If youre considering learning to fly I highly recommend Latitude Aviation at the Coeur dAlene Airport. Check out their Learn to Fly Question/Answer videos at their website.
