Everything you purchase on Hofstras campus is from a third party vendor that is not directly Hofstra staff. This is not to say the staff are bad/do a bad job, they go above and beyond for the students- but the economic situation of it is concerning for all members. The debit card style on Hofstras campus is explained to help students save, but in my experience and those I know, money is often wasted on freshman meal plans and upperclassmen struggle for food by end of semester. This is such a problem theres an instagram page to share you debit points with other students during mealtimes.

This place is so unbearable its not even a joke. The other reviews for the student center must be fake or they are just parents who come during welcome week which is the only time the student center seems to be clean. The student center at Hofstra is so under prepared to be serving food. They constantly have greasy and cold food come out from the grill station along with constantly burning all the chicken and burgers. The breakfast station serves greasy food constantly. If you order a breakfast wrap with eggs, sausage, and potato they wont put it in and most of the time the potatoes are rock hard and dont have any actual potato in them. The freshens station keeps getting rid of items and is always out of all different kinds of stuff every time I go to get food from there. The sandwich station constantly screws up orders and forgets to put stuff on my sandwich even though it has to be the most basic thing to make in the student center. The pasta station serves pasta in cardboard containers which dont hold hot food well and the sauce starts to seep into the contair making it hard to hold. Ive also personally gotten pasta with mold in it before. Outside the food areas, the utensil dispensers are always broken and I have to go digging just to get a utensil to eat my food with. There is never any salt and pepper at the tables or at the utensil stations... The tables are always dirty and Ive never seen anyone really cleaning tables during hours of operation which means that they just expect students to clean them for them.3/2/19 I have added a picture of some of the food my girlfriend and I got. Looks like burgers right? WRONG! THESE ARE BLACK and BURNT TO A CRISP BLACK country chicken sandwiches. Horrible food that should never be consumed by anyone. I also witnessed the staff on the grill cooking some kind of skirt steak which is not on the menu??? Why are the workers cooking food thats not even on the menu????

What a beautiful building on a beautiful campus.

With the amount of money their tuition is youd expect the food to be at least semi decent. Its not and has gotten many students sick. Other than that, cool decor.

Nice location for events

Took us forever to find the Student Store, and while we eventually found it thanks to a helpful employee, the store was closed. Really wanted to pick up a Hofstra lacrosse shirt.Store looked nice, though.

Was here for a rehearsal read for an upcoming short film. The Student Center was exceptionally clean. I was impressed.

Hofstra is a fantastic college.... my son attends and has made wonderful friends and he loves his classes.... its a true family based school. The professors are very close to the students due to the small classes.

I came here for the INBEON artists convention. This is a nice space for small gatherings and small one-day events like an art show. Auditorium is a good size and appeared to be clean and up-to-date. I came to the con early so I decided to check out the cafeteria. Three-filling omelet on a roll was very good and reasonably priced. Coffee/tea and soda stations were clean and orderly. It would have been better to come here rather that eat the junk that the Cradle of Aviation served up for the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo....

Rating the Eastern conference room. It is a great space space. Easy to get to and parking is free with plenty of space. Sound is not great, lots of echoing and noise from the outside hallway is disruptive.

Very spacious, lot a of options for sitting with others to study or socialize lots of dining options

Wonderful gathering place with several food choices, TD bank, groceries.

Very nice facility. Excellent auditorium and sound, AV equipment. Hofstra accommodated the LGBTQ conference and training. WiFi is password protected.
