I was part of class of 2012 and loved my time here. I always say that my high school career was great. The faculty and staff were always friendly to me, and most teachers seemed to really care about their work and want to inspire students. To my understanding, the ones who were awful and didnt care much got weeded out, even after I left. I hope they continue to have good quality control. Many of the teachers here still hold a place in my heart today. The school supports clubs really well and lets students self-start things to have fun and contribute to the school in general.My biggest complaint about the school itself is informing students about advanced course options. No one had ever told me what AP course were or how to get into them until I heard from a friend in sophomore year, and I feel like I wasted a lot of time that I could have spent earning college credits. I think there was an assumption that my parents or my middle school wouldve told me about this, but even my parents didnt seem to know about AP courses.

The counselors here are by far some of the worst academic professionals that I have ever come across. They give students false hope when they knows there is none, and seem to put personal matters over their students. I have had three kids go through school over the course of 26 years, and was even a teacher myself, and have never seen such a lack in consideration for students. If you want your child to be cared about, do not send them here.

This school has been getting worse and worse every year since I got here fights happen during lunch some days, a small drug cartel deals weed and small amounts of meth in the bathroom during certain hours of the day in both girls and boy restrooms, the restrooms are covered in sharpie marker all over the walls, the dean the walk around treat the rest of my peers like trash for going to another class or being late because some guy had to walk slow in the halls, only one person can go to the bathroom at a time which can be a pain to wait after you had lunch when the one bathroom available in the quad is full for the rest of the lunch period, and they keep kids rounded up in one area out side during lunch with no freedom to find a place to keep warm during the winter when the lunchroom is full. As a senior of the 2018 class I seen everything and I just want to warn people about this school that is ranked only by it test scores than being ranked by the student there.So I’m going to ask you would you let your kids come here I would say no

Literally the best school you can go to in the Vegas Valley. It literally has all the thing you expect of a high school. Literally. In fact memes are legal within the ground of this school making it a 10/10 in my book. hahhaa ex doi

I really enjoyed the time I had as a cougar for the 3 years I was. I appreciated the teachers I had there! Go Cougars!!!

Students are really friendly and is bully free from what I have seen. On the other hand the staff is one of the most horrible I have ever dealt with. I some teachers only let you go to the bathroom twice in 4 months in their class and others I have heard will not let you go no matter what. Most teachers I have had seem like there just their to baby-sit students some classes I have been in have a 50-75% fail rate. Some teachers are moody as hell I have asked questions to repeat something and all I get is yelled at for not paying attention and they move on. Also to conclude this happens to be the worst system I have been in they give you know clue what classes you will take or if you got into something until the first day which mean if somethings wrong with the schedule all you get is a Oh well you should have done that before the first day honestly if your going to put your child in this school all I have to say is Good Luck.If I was given an a chance to leave id do it at the drop of a dime.

Has everything you could ask for from clubs to AP classes. Great school for your kiddos to go to.

Superb education, pleasent teachers, adequate student body. If youre a good student here you will go far.

Horrible Deans that cant do there job. Hall monitors always stop kids and assume there where they shouldnt be and sent to the deans office. Walking around anywhere outside the cafeteria or quad at lunch will get you in trouble if caught and you will be sent to the deans office where they will search you and treat you more like a criminal than a student. Counslers give horrible advice and lie. Deans lie as well several times to me and my parents about things when we figure out the lies its really hard to resect the staff (only deans/hallmonitors) the only thing good about the school is most teachers know what they are doing but its hard to think about that with how horrible the deans are I truly feel like to deans abuse their power and make little incidents HUGE. I truly wouldnt reccomend this school and plan on changing schools in the very near future.

I moved to this neighborhood for this school. he comments about high heels, gum and cellphones is ludicrous. My daughter just graduated from the school and I drove her most days and saw the students and they dressed like normal teenagers.

People in here are judgemental, they judge you by appearance, someone called me a hobo and drug addict due to clothes i am wearing , i am just a gothic kind of person, people in here are rude please stay away from this school

Good facility to host those band pizza partys.

If you arent in ap academy or taking honor classes, this school doesnt give a damn about you. Heck only like 70-80% of the 2016 class graduated.
