I love this school and the teachers but parents having to wait outside the fence for their kids is insane. My kids were so heated from that. Something needs to be done

There needs to be an alternative method of pickup for the younger children in Pre-K rather than have them lined up on the south side of the building standing on blacktop pavement which is anywhere from 30 to 40 degrees hotter with no shade no refreshments to cool them off while waiting on parent pick up. My son Weston William was completely beet red pouring sweat and all because the school is enacting safety for the children. How is this safe? You cant leave a child in a locked car, you cant leave a dog outside without water why is it okay for this school to leave our children in afternoon heat..... Am I the only concerned parent who feels this way. They responded with no parents are allowed in the school in the area but I enter Herrin Elementary where I have three other children who attend and I sign in they have my information and the information regarding my children as well why isnt this implemented at North side as well?! If your concerned as well please call their principal, please call the superintendent of schools Dr. Terry Ryker as well as the Benton office of the board of education to make a difference. If you dont stand up and advocate for all children what kind of parent does that say you are. Because Im a concerned one who wants to know my children are receiving the best possible care obtainable.

The teachers and staff are really nice but the traffic to pick the children is a little crazy.
