Judging the score of the school given to me by the Google Reviews, I have determined that 90% of these reviews are worthless trash talk. By the grammatical errors alone I predict these are in fact edgy students and not parents. Here are some points that deserve to be mentioned:The staff are not nice when required, they are doing their jobs. The food is bad, however it is an understandable fact since their budget is not that great. Some of the teachers are great! However some teachers do not put in 100% effort in their jobs. I will not state the names of these teachers for the sake of privacy. The campus is clean along with bathrooms in the new building.Administration let down their guard last year with their seniors but are currently working hard to fix their mistakes from the previous year.Overall the school is not bad. Heed my advice, for its an insiders perspective.

ESL students levels 1-4 are all placed in the same ESL classes in violation of the Consent Decree signed by Miami Dade County to ensure that ESL students receive a quality education. An over reliance on computer programs and the over loading of classrooms work together to entrench the schools C grade. A loose discipline and an unmerited concentration on sports teams make the classroom environment perfect for slacking athletes but difficult for everyone else.

After school staff can honestly care less about the kids and the counselors. Worked here for a year, and absolutely hated it. Loved my kids, but Yanelly was terrible being a boss. We always had to do things on our own. She also chose sides with counselors, treating a few differently. Made a few of us feel extremely uncomfortable at our work place. Glad to hear she isnt in charge anymore.Other than that... bringing your kids to afterschool care is a great idea. they all love it!

Some of the teachers and the IT department are really nice. Other teachers and *cough*some staff*cough* are either meh or terrible. Also, the food is either garbage, poop, or cardboard with cheese and some tomato sauce (what they call pizza). Not a bad school, but I would consider my options. This is coming from a student thats been there for 2 years and counting (thanks, mom and dad).

Youth Co-Op is a very family oriented school, where you get to create some life-changing friendships and bonds with everyone from the students, teachers, office staff to even the hall monitors. As a student who attended Youth Co-Op for almost all my years of primary and secondary education, I can attest that Youth Co-Op is a phenomenal school to put your child in from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. The education being offered at this school in those grades is one like no other. Meanwhile, High School most of the time is the forgotten child. The one which the teachers aren’t as great, your future isn’t put into perspective. And administration really doesn’t listen to what you have to say about certain personnel in the school. There is one in particular that they let “rule” the school, and they have yet to realize the harm they are doing with that. Mr. Rodriguez was a phenomenal gifted and eighth grade U.S. history teacher, but once he was given his Activities Director position he has gotten all high and mighty and believes more of himself than what he really is. He is extremely disrespectful cannot respect his own colleagues, nor his bosses, and treats the students like dirt. So much for his love for the school in which he is not open to advice. I believe it’s time they reevaluate his position and actually speak to him about his behavior as being one of his last students I know the kind of person he is and this isn’t it. I ask that you please take this review into consideration when enrolling your child into this school. And if there are any kids reading this don’t be afraid of a fool that loves to threaten you with taking you to the principals office or writing you up. Go down stairs and turn in your earphones yourself into the principals hands you’ll get into less trouble then if you give it to him and he’ll form a whole show downstairs. Don’t let him disrespect you the way he has been doing for the past four years! Stand up for yourself parents go to the office and fight for your children from this bully! He has no morals and cares only about himself l, he gets mad and he’ll take it out on the kids for no reason. His activities are poorly planned and executed, same spirit week days all four years of high school, homecomings are done in the cafeteria, orders 4 sandwich trays from Publix and 2 cookie trays from BJ’s and calls it a phenomenal dance. This years prom, was themed All That Jazz when it should’ve been themed All That Trash as there were no stand ups of anything Jazz related. Everything was black and gold with a porcupine shaped gold ball in the middle of each table alongside some diamonds scattered on the table. No where in the entire prom was the theme carried out besides the photo booth strips. Great job, Mr. Rodriguez! Instead of worrying so much on being an administrator and “busting” kids you should stop playing games and actually get to doing what your position entitles you to which is simply ONLY planning activities no more, no less! Again please if you are considering this school for your child’s elementary and middle school please do consider applying, just look for better opportunities for them when it comes to high school.School Ratings:Elementary and Middle School: 9/10High School: 4/10

Everything. From the Principal to the after school care. The school is excellent. Keep up the excellent work. And please dont mind poor Brian The Lions comment. I guess he was just having a bad day. Like my mom always said, If you dont have something nice to say, please dont say anything. GO! YCCS!

Even though there are a lot of kids who hate this school i honestly love it. The teachers actually care about you and help you raise your grade up. Staff cares for each and every student even though sometimes it seems like they hate you, but they are just looking out for you. The lunch could be better not going to lie, but for those kids who dont eat at home it does the job. Yes its true we dont have as many electives but they are working on it. I dont know why so many people hate this school. I graduated from YCCS and i know that i will always be able to go back whenever i need help. YCCS is like a family even though we arent perfect we all love each other.

This school is trash and the principal should be fired. The teachers are great but the dress code is too strict. There is literally only three sports In the school. Never should’ve made it a high school at all and p.s mr.rodriguez has ovaries. The lunch is also terrible it’s no different from prison food

The truth was that this school was good, but as I grew up, it became fatal for a whole year asking for an appointment with the principal and they never barked at me, the 8th grade student is no good, and there is no motivation for the students, the school is dead, the recessionist It is heavy and badly faced, I have seen teachers who are too rude to study with them, not with my children, but with others, good and much more, the only good thing that was achieved was the 3rd grade counselor, Mrs. Mendes, super dedicated to what parents need and students 5 stars for Mrs. Mendez
