This school is highly recommended by myself and my 13 classmates. They overteach to make it easy to get your CDL license. Instructors are all great and patient. I would give it 5 stars. Trust me.
I’m proud to say I went to this school. Teachers are very well affiliated with substantial amount of experience with all aspects of trucking. Basically your a idiot if you pick another school over this one. Shout out to Rich and Jim, best of the best, Sincerely Mazda CX-9.

Shelly is the amazing with help she is the best. Ray is very serious but can be very funny at times. Tom was like a great mentor to me his knowledge of driving help me to get my CDL. But I had a wonderful time learning and gain information . You have to be determining about getting it. But the school tells you everything about becoming a driver. It’s giving me great experience. Stars is the best!!!!!!!
I highly recommend Star Truck Driving School to anyone/everyone! I was recommended Star by a few of my friends/people I know. I did the 160 hour full time course and learned a ton! All of the instructors: Jimmy, Eric, Don, Tom and Keith are extremely knowledgeable! They will not only make sure you know your stuff to pass the CDL tests but they educate you with extra nuggets of information to prepare you for your career as a professional truck driver! I got a job the next day after graduating and my boss was shocked how well I was driving and how much I knew. I was driving a big rig on my own in no time! I really appreciate all their tips. Shelly and the girls in the office are super welcoming and helpful! You will meet some good people in your class, I actually helped a classmate (now friend) get a job with the company I am with, so make connections during your training!
If you’re reading this then you’re contemplating going to Star Truck Driving School. STOP thinking about it and go do it. I have nothing but positive things to say about this school and it was worth every penny that I spent. From Shelly to the instructors, everyone was awesome. I highly recommend this school for anyone who’s thinking about getting their CDL.
This is the best school ever. Shelly is the best and makes sure that you are taking care of. Jimmy Tom and Vick are the best instructors and will stay over to make sure youre okay and and understand what youre doing. By far this was the decision I made this summer and I am making great money no more nickle and dimes
Not recommend at all
The entire staff staff is wonderful here. Shelly was a big help in getting me prepared for my permit and medical card. Old man Jim is hard on you but fare, his way of teaching is old school and sticks. I went to Star not knowing the first thing about a semi truck and in 19 days they had me ready for my state test , which I passed first time. I was working the next week with my family dump truck company and I really enjoy it. Thanks a million Star!!!

The information was very detailed and they taught me what I needed to know to excelling in my career and not just to pass my test. I have a new found respect for the profession of Truck Driving. THIS SCHOOL IS NOT FOR THE SENSITIVEIf you need a safe place from words or your feelings get hurt easily A) dont be a trucker B) dont use this school. They will ride you hard to make sure you get it stuck in your head. But they break it down and do their best to make sure you have it nailed. As long as you do your part youre fine.I cant say enough good things about these guys. Thank you so much for everything.

The school is great you can take your cd l road test also it have the 🚚 at the terminals. It the best school and the price is right.
Shelly is absolutely a blast to work with at the Hickory Hills location. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and efficient when dealing with the registration process, CDL permit information, and thinks outside the box when it comes to being flexible in the acquiring the required hours for the CDL. I highly recommend the Hickory Hills location for all your CDL training needs. Its well worth the drive to get the right service, info and the attention one needs for the CDL.
