My daughter tried three or four different on-line ballet classes, but the one she started and continues to take at Illinois Classical Ballet exceeded all expectations.First of all, no other ballet school gives on-line 3-hour class. Hour or hour and a half at the best.Secondly, all other on-line classes just demonstrate a set of elements at the bar, in the center and on the pointe, with general corrections. On-line classes at Illinois Classical Ballet start with demonstration and explanation of the elements, and combination itself by a teacher, then the students and the teacher do it together in a slow pace and then students do it alone listening teacher’s corrections and fixing it on their ownOnce quarantine is over, we are moving to that school

I personally know one of the girls from that school. 5 years ago she was just another kid ,nobody paid attention at. She moved to Illinois Classical and now she is 3 times YAGP finalist and 2 times Canada Grand Prix finals winner. She is just amazing

Serious ballet school, amazing teacher. My daughters just loves their ballet classes. You see the results of great teaching - ballet skills and technique are improving every year.

I am a parent of three children and I can say that in the past 16 years there have only been a few times when I felt truly outside of my comfort zoneOne of those times was the Jordan College of the Arts at Butler University audition process.I had no idea what we were in for when my daughter announced that she wanted to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance-Performance professional degree.Research into potential schools revealed how incredibly competitive these programs are, and we were truly unsure of how to proceed with preparing for this experience.Illinois Classical Ballet is living proof that great things really can be found on the Internet!After an initial meeting with my daughter, Ms. Stella unerringly chose the classical variation that truly suited her personality. She coached my daughter with great enthusiasm and was always available for support and encouragement.Ms. Stella did a fantastic job guiding my daughter in her Butler Ballet audition prep. November 16 was The Day when my daughter successfully passed that audition She couldnt have done it without Ms. Stella, and we will forever be deeply grateful to her

Despite the fact that they do not have special ballet classes for rhythmic gymnastics, as some trainers recommend, the classes at this school helped our daughter very much.And we could see the difference in performance in a few months.Would be nice to have such ballet schools in our area, unfortunately they are not there, we have to travel 40-45 minutesBut for several years we tried some other ballet schools, unfortunately without any success.If your daughter needs ballet classes, we recommend this place

Great school. Very professional and courteous to all students and parents. Every summer my daughter was taking summer intensive classes at Joffrey Ballet School or Bolshoi Ballet Academy. Unfortunately, this year she couldn’t go. Just at that time we came across Illinois Classical Ballet add inviting for Summer Intensive and decided to try. We planned to go for a session, but Grace loved it so much that she stayed there for a second session too. The training was excellent, and she loved every class every day.I was absolutely shocked and thrilled on ow much of a stronger dancer she had becomeI would highly recommend parents of other girls who are motivated and qualified to send them here if given the opportunity

I would recommend this school to those parents who are looking for something more than just afterschool activities or recreational type programsVery effective training. The teacher really knows what needs to be done for your child to improve one’s skills, regardless whether you have short or long term goalsOh, and did I mention warm and friendly atmosphere. I was surprised when after first few days my daughter along with other girls would stay another 15-20 minutes after class talking to the teacher and didn’t want to leave. I must say honestly that my daughter is not the person who easily finds friends. I wish we knew about this school earlier

Unlike 95% of dance studios offering summer intensive in Chicagoland, this school provides a wonderful environment to learn ballet. Though my daughter was never a “typical ballet dancer” (jazz, modern, hip-hop), she loved it from the first day. Everyone there is focused on classical ballet .Teacher is very encouraging, supportive and patient. She breaks things down and make them look very easy. She is watching everyone and always corrects you if you are doing something wrong. Correct positions, correct posture, correct technique – no small details. But you really should have at least some basic terminology and technique knowledgeUnfortunately for us, it’s a long drive, so my daughter will stay with her studio, but we will be back for more summer classes next year

Illinois Classical Ballet came recommended to us three years ago and it was the right decision we made. My daughter has learned so much during her time at ICB.I recommend this school whether you are a beginner or more advanced. Unfortunately, they do not take children from 5 to 8 years old, which of course creates inconvenience for families who have children of different ages. I would really like them to have classes and for small children too.

Exceptional ballet program for the serious ballet dancers. My opinion that Illinois Classical Balletis by far is one of the best program in NorthShore. Very professional,very detail-oriented. My daughter did a 8 week summer intensive. There were approximately 15 children in the class. Weve been told by other parents that is common for students to take all Summer Intensive classes. The teachers are wonderful coaches and care very much for the students. The students are very nice and supportive of one another.

From the first performance it was evident that the instructors at ICB really know what they are doing. Students of all ages were dancing variations with technique beyond their years. You can tell everyone took ballet seriously, as it was treated as an art form—simply put, the level of training provided by Illinois Classical Ballet is unmatched by any other dance schools in the Chicagoland area.

Our family highly recommend this place. It is a school where kids really learn the ballet. School where each movement is practiced. Our daughter was taking classes at different school before,but for the first time she really counts the days till next class

Great teachers, great kids, great school. Unfortunately there are no classes for inexperienced children. All children have to go through audition.If you are looking for a ballet school 1-2 times a week, this school is not for you.

My daughter knows what she wants to do with her life...and that is to be a professional ballerina. We have been at other studios but none of them focused specifically on pre-professional ballet training.More exact, they all say that they are the most...They all teach according to the Vaganova method, although they have never been to this school and received their knowledge at two-week seminars held by visiting Russian guest performers in the summerMy daughter wasted 4 years at such place and now she is in the school where teacher understands what should be done to make the dream become a realityIllinois Classical Ballet has a very impressive record of significant achievements of their students not only in International ballet competitions, but enrolling in higher educational institutions as well.

I brought my granddaughter for summer camp audition, but many studios around offer dance summer camp and I had to make a difficult decision. But after we saw their summer recital, I had no more questions and never regretted my choice.
