I’ve been a student at Avanti for almost 4 years and I’ve loved every second of it! Amra is an absolutely fabulous teacher, and a great person in general. The premier recitals are provide students with an incredibly opportunity to meet wonderful people and sing awesome music. My voice has improved so much, and my confidence has also gone up. I love the people here with all my heart. I’ve met some of my best friends here and have learned so much! I can’t wait for the rest of my time at Avanti ❤️ Thank you, Amra for everything you’ve done!

As a student myself, I love Avanti. Spencer I a great teacher. He has really helped me open up when singing. He is really nice and patient with me. He is great at letting me know what I need to work on. Spencer is amazing. I have not been here long but I and my parents have seen great improvements. Avanti gives so many opportunities for their students. Everyone at the studio is very nice and very flexible. I love going to Avanti and I cant wait for the many years to come at Avanti.

Our journey with Avanti began 2 years ago when our young daughters began showing some interest in singing. What we thought would be a short-lived hobby, has turned into the best investment of time and money for our daughters, seeing them develop self-confidence and grow their talent. The people behind Avanti are one of a kind, and nothing short of amazing. Sitting in the lobby, one has the pleasure of hearing a range of instruments being taught with a balance of skill, technique, and encouragement from all the teachers. Thank you for dedicating your time and talents to teaching our young children!

Avanti has made a huge impact on my children and our family . I wouldnt trade their instruction for the world. My family has been taking lessons at Avanti for 6 years total. My daughter Piano and voice and my son Guitar. Both children have learned not only to read and play music but so much more. The teachers care not just about the lesson time but truly about the education of the student. I often call or text with a random question or new song request that my child wants to learn. Not only has my teacher always responded promptly but also used my childs interest in popular music to further their knowledge and advance their skills. This is not just learning scales and forced practice. These kids learn to play, perform and love their instruments.I love walking into the studio on lesson days hearing a saxophone in one room, a violin in another and watching a young student learn the intricacies of a challenging note on the large piano in the middle of the studio. I have been to two recitals a year since we started. Watching not only my children grow and advance but also the rest of the studio is really something. These teachers are truly impressive and I would recommend Avanti to anyone who wants to learn to play. I guarantee you will not be disappointed in the education that they provide.

My children have been students at Avanti for five years, the last two years with Talia for piano and violin. Talia is not only an amazing musician but an excellent teacher all around. She is positive, patient and in just the right way motivating. Whether you are looking for an accelerated music program or just getting your children to love music I would highly recommend Talia.

My 11year old daughter has been taking violin lessons here from kristopher Harris. It is her first time and she loves his teaching. Im continually impressed not just with his skills and knowledge, but also his patience in dealing with younger students. My daughter always looks forward to his lesson, which is a great testament to his methods. I would highly recommend Kristopher Harris to any aspiring violin player.

The front desk staff was nice and helpful and this is why I gave a 3. The instructor on the other hand didnt respond to my emails, even sent an email to me meant for someone else and when I received the email that had the same subject matter there was a different tone to the email than the one sent by mistake. I also over heard the instructor telling my 5 year old to act his age, and even was told whats wrong with you? at one point during the required lessons. I talked this over with others and they agreed that was inappropriate their kids dont get talked to like that even when they have the case of the sillies. I would have pulled my son sooner than later but the agreement makes it so that you would still pay for the remaining lessons.

Avanti is a unique and wonderful place for musicians during all stages of development. My son was showing some interest in singing after a choir concert at the end of his 5th grade year. We decided to do a trial at Avanti to see if it was something he wanted to pursue in a more serious manner. His trial with Amra was so much fun that we decided to sign up for weekly lessons.Fast forward 3 years and he is still going strong. Avanti is a safe and positive learning environment for children. My sons energy is entirely different from when we enter to when we leave his session. He is excited, happy, and energized when we leave. Amra has a way of making these kids feel like they are meeting with an old friend instead of a stuffy instructor. They laugh and chat and there is a genuine connection each time he is there. Amra cares about my son as a whole. He is not just another number. Dont get me wrong...it is hard work...but it is fun. My son is able to choose songs that he enjoys to sing while learning...this holds is so important because it holds his interest. We have had so many conflicts through the years with multiple kids that have school activities and competitive sports. Each time this happens Avanti does its best to reschedule to a time that works for both of us. Does it work 100% of the time? Nope. Thats life...I have never felt slighted by them...with 100s of students I can not expect them to remove someone else from their slot to accommodate me. They are professional and run their business in a fair and courteous manner. My son has the option to try out for the opportunity to be in live performances. At these performances other students perform alongside one another. While one kid sings, another is on the drums, another on the guitar and so on. It gives them an opportunity to work together and share what they love to do. The parents pay a small fee to attend these concerts (twice a year). I have no problem with this. Avanti needs to secure a space and create a comfortable and workable area for these kids to perform. My other children are in activities that require me to buy tickets (dance recitals, plays, etc.) this is not different. It is worth every penny to see how much fun they are all having! The price for lessons is incredibly reasonable. In comparison to the fees for athletics and uniforms Avanti is a breath of fresh air. The opportunities to perform (if you want to) are endless. I have watched my sons self esteem sky rocket through lessons at Avanti. Money can not buy that sort of thing. All in all you cant go wrong with Avanti. Their instructors are fantastic with children and they know how to motivate them in a positive manner.

I really wanted to love Avanti but there were some major flaws with the studio.Scheduling sessions is a nightmare, having more than one child taking lessons with different teachers was impossible to try and get everyone on the same page. Each teacher handles their own scheduling(which is a flaw) and their own polices on how sessions are set up. When we first started at Avanti I made it clear that getting both my children in at the same time was very crucial, as I live 20 minutes away making a 40 minute round trip multiple times a week would have left little time for my children to do other actives. The first round of sessions were fine, but when it was time to sign up for the fall we were forced to go from 45 minute sessions to 30 because of the teachers schedules and 7pm at night...which was just too late for school age children. This proved to be really hard on the kids being so late and I feel their performance suffered. Plus moving from 45 to 30 didnt do them any favors.Avanti has additional recitals and performance base options for students, however all of these cost extra. Recitals cost extra and you have to try out to be in the performances. I thought this was a little poor taste to ask for the cost of recitals and put children on the spot if they want to take part in preforming, when really its suppose to be for fun.The teachers themselves do a good job, they pushed my children to do their best and was overall pretty strict with their learning. I wish sometimes they would make it more fun for them, but overall I got good feedback on what they were working on and what to practice.Missing a lesson can be a little stressful, a 24 notice is required in order to received a make up lesson. This can be a flaw as well, as each teacher again has their own make up policy/way for handling make ups. There were times I could not provided 24 hours, like if my child came home from school sick. I would then have to forgo the lesson I paid for altogether. Or if I needed a make up then some teachers would say I do make ups once a semester or some that would say whenever.Avantis billing could use some improvement, overall I see that some improvements have been made, though there were months of billing issues where my automictic payments were not being processed. once it was noticed, I was asked to pay for three months worth of lessons at once. I definitely could see how many families would not be able to do this and saw that has a huge gap in billing. Furthermore, this happened again with only one of my children and learned that I needed to make sure to keep an eye on it.I would have loved to stay at Avanti but the inconsistency the studio has really made it hard for us. having a united scheduling front would have made things so much easier for us and abled us to stay.

Talia Vlieger, keyboard instructor, is wonderful! Our daughter has been going to Avanti for I think almost 4 years now. She started out in the group class with 4 other students. She loved the mix of games and keyboard time. It really helped her to understand the concept behind notes, sound and how to use it on the keyboard, as well as read music. Part of the class is the parents sit in. At first I was bummed not to have an hour to decompress. But I have to say I learned too! And it helped when she had to practice at home for me to have some idea of what she was doing. It also gave me a new appreciation on Talias teaching skills and how quickly the kids progress (and I did not! ha!). If you are looking for a positive environment and a loving teacher - she is the one. Always a smile on her face. She starts the class asking how each of the kids is doing, what they have been up to. Talia makes the kids feel good about themselves. She has given them the confidence to perform at recitals in front of a lot of strangers. I couldnt ask for anything more.

My daughter(High School ) and son (Elementary) really respects and adores this school for the great teaching of Amra and Josh. She passed almost every classical music audition and got selected to one of the Cherry Creek High Schools most competitive girls senior choirs as a Soprano I singer this week due to the great teaching of him. My son used to have him as a vocal teacher and learnt the basics of voice training so well. Thanks for all your voice training/coaching Amra.
