My daughter has been taking lessons here for 3 years without missing a session. She love the instructors and excels in the classes. The process of getting new children in to classes though is pisspoor. I have been trying to get 2 children into swim classes for the last 6 months and now I’m being told that I can’t even get them an evaluation until January. Not 1 single person has been able to help remedy this problem. I have been told to leave my number and I’d get a call to schedule, I’ve called every month to be told all the evaluations are full. This is absolutely absurd. You would think that someone who has spent almost $4000 on swimming lessons could get a little more cooperative response. To top it off. The child I have in classes now never even had an evaluation. I signed her up over the phone. If you’re looking to enroll your child I highly suggest looking somewhere else unless you want to wait 9 months.

My first experience here was a water yoga class at and had a really good experience. The facilities are clean and organized and the staff was engaging and helpful. After getting but a tour I could see that the equipment and class offerings are unique and fun. I also participated in a water cycle class and really enjoyed it. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to add some aquatic fitness into your routine.

I have been thoroughly impressed with all the staff at Aquatic Adventures. Both my daughter and I have taken the Intro To SCUBA and SCUBA Certification classes. All had different instructors and all have been amazing, attentive, and encouraging. If you are planning to get certified for SCUBA, need a refresher, or are even interested in SCUBA I highly recommend Aquatic Adventure.

Wonderful facility and great instruction! We have been certified for two different scuba courses at Aquatic Adventures: our original diving certification and Nitrox cetification. Mark James is a fantastic instructor!! Really patient, clear, explanatory, and the facilities are immaculate and all the staff is really friendly. Recommend highly!

The water was warm and the life gurd was funny overall the employees were very happy to help you with almost any thing and I went here for a party and I have been going every week since BTW pool toys are provided and life gurd is not always on wach I love this swimming place(( DONT MISS THE SIGN!!!))

Great place for lap swim, very reasonable membership prices. Locker rooms are very clean, and showers are hot.

Extremely Unorganized! Waste of time!!

This is the only place in Ohio that docent need reservations and thats why I love it. all I need is a pass and two legs to swim instead of sitting at my computer and spend an hour making a reservation. they also offer swim classes, snorkeling classes, and scuba classes. they have a really cool shop where you can get a variety of open heel vins and they have the boots required as well. the staff is very polite also. they sell scuba dive suits and neoprene free diving suits for children as well. they also have a variety of gogles and diving masks. they also have a really cool fish tank and they sell knives and all kinds of other stuff. your also allowed to bring you own equipment. this place deserves a five start review because its the least complicated place to swim during covid 19.

We have only been twice now for toddler swimming lessons and so far all the staff has been very fun and friendly!

As a diver with almost no cold water dive experience, the team at Aquatic Adventures is extremely friendly and helpful. Not once did they seem aggravated with the never ending questions about full face mask to the different types of regulators that stand up to chilly waters. Awesome teamwork

Kelly was willing to track down all the dive computers she could thing of to help me make an informed decision about purchasing one. She even ran home to get one so I could touch and feel how they all worked. She definitely went above and beyond!!!

Not a fan. All of the other dive shops in Columbus are cooler. Im aninstructor and have been in a lot of shops all over the world. This one is my least favorite. It just feels pretentious. The prices are high. The staff is kind of snobby which is comical, they are just a bunch of retail sales clerks at a land locked dive shop in Ohio. The building is nice. The pool looks great but the atmosphere blows. No one in this shop seems to be having any fun.

Finally found a swim location that is able to teach my children how to swim and not to be afraid of the water. For years I had spent money, after money on no result swim lessons at about every popular swim place in town. A year ago I randomly came across the swim lesson offering of Aquatic Adventires and I am so thankful I did. It took only 5 months and my oldest was able to finally swim in the deep end without me being afraid of her drowning. It took only 2 months for my youngest to no longer be afraid to put his face in the water. This team of instructors do such a wonderful job of building the childs confidence and showing them proper technique. I cant say enough about how much I appreciate what they do and how they have helped my kiddos become swimmers.

I love the child/parent swim classes and the pricing is great, however...the large swim team that swims during the class is very annoying! They finish at the same time the baby class finishes and there is NO room to change your baby in their small changing rooms! The swim team not only takes up all of the benches and free space, but they also stand around in there and don’t seem to care that they are in the way. This process really makes me reflect on whether or not the class is even worth it.

I’ve driven by this place for years but never checked it out. We just had swim lessons for my Daughter there Saturday and it was really nice! Very professional and well run and maintained from what I could tell.

Best learning experience Ive ever had. Instructors are very personable and welcoming. They are extremely thorough with their education, safety, of course, being the number one concern. They will not pass you if you show the slightest sign of being uncomfortable, however, they will endlessly accommodate you until you feel 100% confident in your skills. The shops are extremely nice and the staff is very helpful and informative.

Been coming here for a few months - Toddler lessons. Nikke is pure gold! Her passion is relentless and she makes sure the kids are having fun while instructing. Tonight she has no voice and is STILL a better instructor than most. What a great experience and value here.

Great Place!

My wife is a new diver and Im an instructor.We were blown over by the help and service weve received from Aquatic Adventures in the six months weve known them.Were so pleased were already signed up for our third dive trip.Its just a great place for diving and diving support.My wife is thankful the service staff was knowledgeable about several brands of integrated deflate and inflate heads and found one that was easy to operate.

I was not an easy student, but the staff at AAO never gave up on me and now I am living a dream underwater, going to exotic islands and sharing a whole new world with all my dive buddies in AAOs travel group. AAO makes me feel like I am their only customer; giving me super personalized service; from lessons toward certifications, new & interesting equipment, servicing equipment to travel opportunities. I am so grateful that the people at this shop are not just about the money but they truly do want to get you the best fit that they can. I am doing my dive classes here and I cant imagine going anywhere else. I met Gordy I believe his name was and very friendly guy just as all the staff is.

Stopped in recently to inquire about getting 2 scuba regulator sets assembled and tested as the shop I normally go to is in the process of moving. Was first told they would need rebuilt since they were used (they are less than 1 year old in great shape from a reputable dive shop). Another employee then said they could actually just assemble and test them for me. I was told it would cost $46 per set ($92 total) and would take 1-2 weeks. I called a different dive shop and was told to just stop by that it would take about 10 minutes and they would assemble and test them for free. The employee at the other dive shop even took me to the back to show me how they are assembled and pressure tested, so I now have a better understanding of this process. If you are looking for a good dive shop that truly has a love for scuba and wants to help further your learning and isnt out to make a buck, there are much better places in town.

1st experience was not a good one. I have made several trips since then, talked with staff & taken a tour....Im all in! I will be taking my scuba lessons/certification here. Looking forward to the education! See you guys soon! THANKS for the Xtra effort you have shown!

Overall its a good place to swim, but BE AWARE, DONt buy anything from here, if it fails to perform properly or you got defective product you will not be able to return it. Dicks Sporting Goods is the place to go.

I can guarantee anyone with negative reviews about the swim lessons here didnt have Miss Nicky as their instructor...quite simply put, shes a godsend. Our two-year-old did nothing but cry and scream throughout his first two lessons. Im talking non-stop, from the first minute, to the last. I figured shed ignore him to give him time to calm down, but she included him (and other crying kids) in every exercise, and was so patient and encouraging, even when he would do nothing but scream in response. When it continued in the second lesson, I thought shed get annoyed, or maybe even suggest taking time off and trying again when he was older, but his uneasiness only seemed to draw him to her more, as if she was determined to change his attitude. Yet she never once showed even the slightest signs of frustration or annoyance at him, or anyone else in the class.Literally, by the end of the third session, he was screaming and crying again--only this time, it was because it was time to get out of the water. She sat with him for an extra ten minutes after the lesson was over until he calmed down enough to get out. I cant recommend her enough...she clearly loves what shes doing, and genuinely wants to instill that passion in all of her students.

Had a birthday party there and staff was wonderful. Will definitely be back.

Update: I wanted to update people that have read this situation. I just received a call from none other than the owner. Yes it has been six months since our incident without a peep to me from management or anyone there but regardless, he called me today. I wasnt sure what to expect but he thoroughly apologized (from what I could tell was truly from the heart) and told me that they are making a lot of changes and that what happened was unacceptable and again and again that he was sorry. I am very impressed by him and thankful for him calling me. I am done with what happened before and really hope they are improving and move toward a more successful business. He has all my respect. 👍🏼Read a review about mother having to save her own child from the water during a lesson before taking my daughter here. Figured it was a one time thing but made a point to keep an eye out during the lessons. Lessons were okay, some instructors are better than others but figured it was good for the price. Until last week when I HAD TO SAVE A CHILD FROM THE WATER DURING A LESSON. The platform the kids (3-4 year olds) stand on slipped into the 12 foot section of the pool. Needless to say the instructor wasnt paying attention and there was NO LIFEGUARD. While my daughter hung on to the edge of the pool the other girl floated to the 12 foot section with the platform til it went under and so did she. Without thinking I went over to the edge and grabbed her out. Instructor said nothing to me. I took my daughter out immediately told the manager about it and havent heard from them since. Seems like they are okay with letting situations like this happen. I however am not. Getting no recommendations from me.

Great knowledge great service

AAO is a brilliant facility. As avid scuba and freedivers, we use AAO as a training facility. Their dive tank is always clean and warm. Love that they dont over chlorinate the water! Many of our performers were SDI certified through their dive shop, and we have been impressed with the quality of instructor and education received. AAO is our go to pool!

Lessons we had were short yet useful.

Very family friendly, staff is great, and the pools are clean. A bit on the pricey side for lessons compared to what youll receive, but great for kids to learn to swim.
