My daughter has been in Step By Step daycare for the past year. The Teachers are amazing! The spend a lot of time and effort ensuring your child is getting the best education possible. The facility is great, and the administrative crew and management are super responsive and flexible.Highly recommended!!!

Please be mindful of their summer camp program!!! I signed up my daughter for this school summer program (half day) because I saw they have swimming lessons in the morning. after I signed up, they changed the swimming class to late afternoon and now I have to pick up my daughter at 1pm and send her back late in the afternoon to attend the swimming class. It will cause a lot of inconvenience! They changed the schedule without consulting with parents. And now they tell me I cannot get refund if I cancel due to their change of schedule. I will never send my kids to this school again!

I have used Step by Step childcare for almost 6 years. They have been an integral part of our lives and providing amazing childcare for both of my kids (starting from the baby room and up to aftercare services). I give all the credit to them for helping to potty train and prepare my son for public school and now are doing the same for my daughter. I would recommend this business to anyone and everyone. The summer camp is also incredibly fun! The teachers are amazing and the director, Ms Omarys is so responsive and caring and knowledgeable.

Our kids have been at Step by Step for several years for aftercare, full day care and summer camp, and we have always been very happy with their service and the education they provide. Our kids love going there. As valuable as that is during normal times, it has been 1000 times more so during the pandemic. When schools were all-remote they were able to put in place a program for the kids to do their virtual learning there, which was a godsend for us and ensured the kids didnt fall behind (especially our 4 year old - 30 minutes twice a day of video learning wasnt going to cut it). They run things very well, communicate well with parents, and have enthusiastic teachers that come up with great learning projects for the kids. We couldnt be happier!

My daughter has been going to Step by Step since November 2020. Her regular school is only operating virtually and she needed the social interaction. The school has been the perfect fit for her. Everyone at the school has always been very responsive and flexible in working with our schedule.

I called to the phone # provided, and a very rude lady picked up. I asked for information and she was not even trying to help me. This was so disappointing.

Step by step is an amazing daycare! The teachers are attentive, caring, and creative. The facility is so clean and modern. We couldn’t be more grateful to the amazing staff! Highly recommend!

As a former employee, I highly recommend this childcare center. All the teachers and assistants have backgrounds in childhood development and a lot of experience working with children of all ages. The director, Ms. Casado, has always treated the team with respect and has a connection with each family at this facility. This center offers so many advanced enrichment programs and is so linguistically and culturally diverse.I am so glad I had the opportunity to work in such a positive environment. We LOVE Step by Step. Both of my kids have attended here over for both twos/threes programs and summer camp. If anything, it has gotten better over the years. Since the change to remote/hybrid schooling, my son has been attending SBS on his off days from preschool. It has been a godsend! The teachers assure he does his remote learning (with pictures and posts to Class Dojo!) AND supplement with the SBS learning program when his preschool assignments are done. My son loves his teachers and is learning so much from them. Also, hes having fun! The team at SBS always has events planned to keep the kids entertained. This month we have Wacky Wednesday and Apple Picking (brought from the farm to SBS!). Its a crazy time, but SBS is always clean and doing what they can to assure the facility is safe for the kids. I am totally comfortable sending him to school! Cant say enough good things about Step By Step and the staff.

I feel so fortunate that my daughter has been a part of the Step by Step program for the past 4 plus years. At every stage of her development, Step by Step has been there to teach, nurture and support. Ms. Karen and her caring staff have become a part of our extended family and have earned my respect and trust. The Stem program provides a great combination of structure and fun. The Teachers are engaging, creative and encouraging. My daughter has developed new and diverse interests ranging from programming and sewing to performance and creative writing. Step by Step provides a wonderful environment for my daughter that has helped to build her confidence as well as a strong sense of community. We also love the summer camp program and can’t wait for July!

Our son has been enjoying Step by Step for nearly a year now, experiencing both the toddler room and the twos program. My first child attended a more corporate daycare at this age, so I was blown away at what Step by Step has to offer. The professionalism and family environment were striking from my very first tour. The teachers and the director go above and beyond to create a truly exceptional place for both children and parents. The teachers are so loving, and truly involved with each childs development. The staff are so understanding with schedule changes and additional needs. There are parties, babysitting services, and weekend drop off programs too! Not to mention the free pizza Fridays for the kids :) I also LOVE the additional enrichment offered from the very same classes around town for music, art, etc. Step by Step exceeds all expectations!

I am so shocked to see a negative review. Our son has gone to step by step since he was 3. Step by Step has truly become an extension of our family. I am more than confident in trusting my child to the staff there. For me, what separates Step from the other centers - is its programs- art, music, theater, enrichment, STEM- it is more than just a day care or after school program. Their summer program includes swimming, weekly trips and is simply amazing. The facility is bright and airy, the staff is well trained and up to date on child development and the communication from the center- whether it is a monthly newsletter, weekly emails or being able to speak to someone on the staff whenever I need to- has exceeded my expectations. As a working parent, Step by Step has afforded me the support and confidence that I need when it comes to my childs care.

We send our three kids to Step by Step for daycare and summer camp.Karen, the staff, and teachers provide a loving and positive environment where my kids thrive.It is an amazing place where I feel we are all in it together as a team when it comes to taking care of my kids. As new parents, leaving a newborn can be very scary. Weve been blessed to find Step by Step. The facility is wonderfully staffed and managed. The teachers are so caring and loving to our little one, which gives us total peace of mind. They take time and care to keep him on schedule and engaged. Which will go a long way in his development. We feel lucky to be a part of the Step by Step family.

What an excellent after school program! Its progressive, hands on learning and fun. The counselors and staff are amazing as well. They are kind, creative, dedicated and love what they do and it shows! The summer camp program has a great mix of athletics, outdoor activities, trips and learning. My son absolutley loves it there, it was one of the best decisions i could make for him.

We have been so happy to have our daughter with these wonderful teachers and staff. We are consistently impressed by how well they know her, how stimulated and cared for she is, and how helpful and responsive the school has been with every issue. It puts us so much more at ease knowing she’s at SbS, and having had a much less fantastic experience at another center, we know by comparison how lucky we are and our child is.

Our family has been with Ms. Karen the owner since 2010. She helped raise our first daughter and when she announced she was opening Step By Step that was all I needed to know for us to have a second. I have always felt 100% comfortable with the staff, the communication is great, the space is big, bright and open. They engage, challenge and teach beautifully. My 2nd is now 3 years old and I couldnt be happier with our experience there.

Both of my kids have been part of the Step by Step family for two years. My son started in the 1s classroom and my daughter has been part of the after-school program and summer camp. Ms Karen and the staff are very caring and put the kids best interests first. After several very bad experiences at other Hoboken childcare facilities, I finally feel like my children are in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.

I LOVED my experience with Step by Step. They were so patient with my son when he transitioned from his other daycare into the summer camp when he was three. I was so nervous because he was so shy and the teachers were very kind and great at getting him out of his shell. His camp experience helped so much to get him ready for his Pre-K 3s program at the public school and into the Step by Step aftercare. Miss Karen, the owner, is fantastic and enthused about her work and the kids and what they are doing. She was so patient with me and went through my long list question by question. In my opinion, her success appears to derive from her genuine love of education, the staff she hires, and her positive energy.

Wonderful teachers, environment, programs. My son loves the school. When we moved and transition our son to sbs, it was just easy, breezy. The teachers were welcoming and all the kids when they are dropped off they run into the classroom and give hug/kisses to the teachers.

Both our kids have spent time at Step by Step and we cannot speak highly enough of the care they received. A stimulating and loving environment. Thanks to all the staff past and present for their hard work, keep it up!

I was extremely hesitant to send our 4 month old to day care when I was heading back to work but I cant say enough amazing things about SBS. My daughter is now 17 months and we love that she can grow here.The staff is absolutely amazing. They truly love the children and it shows in everything they do. I highly recommend to any parent unsure of what direction to go in for their childs care.

We cant say enough good things about our experience at SBS. Our son has been there for almost 2 years now. He started in the 1-year old room, now is in the 3-year old room, and will be attending summer camp in a few months. We find the teachers to be loving and nurturing while preparing the kids for school with age appropriate activities/lessons. Our son enjoys his days at SBS so much that many times it is hard to actually get him to leave because he wants to stay and keep playing with his friends.

SBS was our daycare provider for our son for over a year and the only reason we left is we had to move away. The facilities are great, but what sets them apart is that we truly felt our teachers were part of our family. Our little man is better off having gone to school at SBS.

Our two children (infant and toddler) have attended SBS for daycare, aftercare, and camp. The staff is so wonderful and loving, enabling our children to thrive during their time at SBS. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained with lots of light and space for playtime and rest. SBS is a second home to our children and a support system for my husband and I. I cannot say enough about the caliber of staff and depth of the learning they provide. There aren’t enough stars to rate this program!

Our daughter loves SBS and so do we! The education and educators are great. We love the program, activities and field trips that are planned and the space is v clean. The communication is great and flexibility makes things super helpful. Since starting the program she’s learned so much! SBS also helped motivate us to potty train and helped make the transition pretty seamless which was AWESOME!

We’ve been very pleased with Step By Step. Our child has been in the one and two year old rooms where the teachers have all been excellent.

My children have been part of the step by step family for a year and a half and we couldnt be happier. My oldest has taken part in the aftercare and summercamp programs. Both were amazing experiences for him with well thought out activities and trips. Ms Karen takes full as advantage of everything that the Monroe Center has to offer to include hosting concerts/shows. My youngest just transitioned from the baby room. I cant speak enough on how amazing the baby room is. Those women made my transition back to work as stressfree as possible. They keep an extremely low baby to teacher ratio and an pristine room. I would recommend step by step to anyone looking for a daycare/aftercare or camp.

My wife and I sent our three children aged 5, 3, and an infant to Step by Step until we moved out of NJ. We were part of the Step by Step family for nearly 4 years and loved them.The facility is the best in Hoboken. There is plenty of space for kids to play and learn safely. It is a super clean, well lit, and a very friendly environment.The teachers are truly gifted, wonderful people who soon became family to us. The management is only interested in helping the kids and ensuring they are safe and happy. Karen has put together a team of like minded people, and if they dont fit, they move on.My kids still talk about SBS. They still talk about the friends they made. And they and we miss everyone there very much. I can wholeheartedly endorse SBS for all of your kids.

Ive visited so many different daycare and schools, both private and public but I have to say I am so IMPRESSED with the staff and teachers at step by step. They are so caring and friendly and because my son has pretty bad separation anxiety toward me, they accomodate so much for him to make his first day easier. Those teachers and staff have the heart for our children and thats the most important thing. Ms Karen, the director, is so unique and not like other daycare in hoboken they all so corporate oriented, she is truley a educator with heart.

SBS is the best! My children have been with Miss Karen and Step By Step since they were babies. We all love the staff, the facilities and the care and attention they have received. They have grown and learned so much at SBS.This past year my son had a school assignment about kindness and had to write the name of the kindest person he knows and why. He wrote Miss Karen because she always takes care of my sister and me and everyone.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I can’t say enough wonderful things about SBS and the teachers in the infant room. Being a first time mom, I was a complete wreck about dropping off my 3 month old daughter at daycare and cried my eyes out. Now we are moving and leaving Hoboken and I am crying my eyes out to leave this wonderful place! Ms. Millie and her team helped guide me through all the stages and my daughter has excelled there. Ms. Jency, Ms. Gladys, Ms. Daniela and Ms. Amanda all have given Grace so much love that she is so happy to go there every morning. My daughter even loves to see the teachers from the other classrooms, as we leave they all know her name and say goodbye and she waves like she is a queen! I will miss them very much.

By far the best daycare and after school program in Hoboken!Ms. Karen, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Katie, Ms. Liz, Mr. Julian, Ms. Mari, Ms. Amy, Ms. Kiki and the entire staff make our children feel loved, welcomed and safe. The daycare provides a structured learning environment for the children with plenty of teachers and assistants to supervise while the aftercare program provides plenty of activities for older children. The facility is very secure with a thumbprint entry system for the main door, security cameras throughout and clearly marked exits. There is also a lot of space in all of the classrooms at this facility so the kids have space to move around. A lot of facilities in Hoboken are so small and cramped. If youre looking for a daycare/aftercare program in Hoboken, you must call Miss Karen to arrange to a site visit...TODAY!

This is my daughters 4th summer attending Step by Step Summer Camp. Im truly grateful that Step by Step is a camp with all the of amenities so we dont need to travel outside of Hoboken. The trips,curriculum, and activities are so well thought out and every day runs smoothly. The staff is so accomadating and professional there was no doubt in my mind that my daughter would have the best summer. There is consistent communication on a daily basis and safety is the #1 priority . I am always so impressed at Miss Karens visible presence (owner ) every morning greeting campers and every evening bidding campers good bye. This camp is run professionally but also with love. We look forward to our 4th summer at Step by Step building happy childhood memories for our little camper.

This is my daughters home away from home - only with more discipline and a ton of learning :) My daughter was one of the first babies when Step by Step opened in the summer of 2015. I had gone to a number of daycares and they all seemed fine but all made me a little anxious (couldnt put my finger on why), maybe bc they all felt a bit clinical... I walked into SbS and swoon. The place just felt magical. Hit it off with the owner bc she seemed genuine (which I didnt get in other places). The teachers feel like family, and I leave my daughter (and now my son) with the same piece of mind I would as if I was leaving with a family member. It was the farthest place I saw from home but its 100% worth it. Love this place. And most importantly; my kids love this place!

My daughter has been at Step by Step since she was 6 months old. She has moved from the infant room through the 1 year old room and is now in the 2 year old room. Even thought next year she will be eligible for the Hoboken Pre-k 3 program we are considering keeping her at SBS for the extra year. She has thrived at SBS and we cannot thank all the staff and teachers enough for all of their hard work and constant energy and encouragement towards our daughter.I highly recommend SBS to any parent looking for an extended family to help raise their child.

This place is a disgrace. The workers treat the children and babies as if they were the mother. The place is understaffed and due to this there are too many children per person in which leaves children unsupervised. The director does not pay attention to the workers or their behavior towards the children. I would not take my child there again it has caused disturbance in my child.
