If I could give HMS more than 5-stars, I would. We are truly grateful for HMS -- the entire teaching and admin staff. Our children have flourished there. They developed a love for learning, curiosity about the world, and kind, respectful hearts of individuals who care for others. They have fun at school and absolutely love it. HMS has been an outstanding experience for the kids (and for parents). The Montessori method encourages the pace and interest of the child while infusing learning across a broad range of foundational skills. Both received attention when they needed it and more challenging materials when they were ready to advance beyond the mean. The staff are super helpful and nurturing, and the parent community is equally supportive. HMS has provided an outstanding foundation for our children that truly made a positive impact.

We love HMS! Our first daughter attended the school starting in the 2s program and over the years there she made wonderful friendships that she still maintains, she had amazing teachers and learned to read and write before leaving for Kindergarten! Now our youngest is finishing her 1st yr there in the 2s program and we once again are having a wonderful experience. HMS will always remain a special place for our family.

HMS has very dedicated and amazing staff and teachers. We are very happy with the activities and curriculum. Ms Debbie is wonderful and the assistant teachers are great too!

Incredible school. I have seen so much progress in my child since starting there in September. The teachers and staff are amazing.

HMS is a bright, clean and nurturing environment. The teachers are talented and loving in equal parts. We have been astounded at our childrens academic progress. By just 4 years old, children are reading, doing complex math with manipulatives, and developing a mature understanding of cultures and geography. We also found the Montessori method to be effective in helping our children develop interests and a sense of self. Miss Kendra and Miss Katja are both superb teachers that really partnered with us to ensure the emotional well-being of our children. We feel exceedingly fortunate to have been a part of the HMS community.

A few years ago, we set our sons to HMS for PK 3 & PK4. The school environment was clean, bright and calm. The staff was dedicated, kind and very professional. Denise runs a buttoned up operation (from strict safety measures...to ....the robust curriculum) . She was completely focussed on serving the children to the fullest degree . Highly recommend.

Excellent School --Our son was at the HMS for three years and we had a wonderful experience. The teachers, administrative staff and all the parents are a wonderful community and everyone works together. The education method, activities, art, developmental support, communication with parents etc. etc. are all top notch and the school successfully strikes the balance between providing the best academically, while still maintaining the wonderful family feel --- which we believe are all so key to help a child develop into confident young learners in these formative years.

My daughter is 2.5yr she is really enjoying going to Hoboken Montessori school, we are very satisfied with the teachers, my daughter is speaking more that before, and we feel she is really learning new things everyday, more that in a normal daycare.

Our son joined Hoboken Montessori when he was 18 months and we have been thrilled at our decision. He has grown to learn many aspects of independent living coupled with strong academic foundation, but more importantly, his love for learning has blossomed at school.The Montessori way of education, personalized lessons and excellent teachers have been a perfect fit for him and his self-development. HMS thrives on a vibrant and committed parent and teacher community that is highly engaged with the common goal of making the education experience great for all our children.Academically, it has been amazing to me how much he has achieved. He started reading and writing at the age of 4. He has learned about continents, countries, and different cultures. At age 5 his math skills have excelled and he is now working on multiplication, division, and the decimal system.It has been a perfect fit for our son. He enjoys the balance of learning and play. The focus on self-care has helped his independence. The focus on order and process makes him a contributor at home. And he has learned respect for others that has aided him socially. The most important aspect of all of this is that he LOVES to go to school.Next year he will be attending kindergarten at another school, but HMS deserves a lot of the credit for the little man he has become today.- Amit and Dhwani Doshi
