I got certified with Hollywood Career Institute as a Medical Assistant and I have to say they exceeded my expectations (and am hard to please). I attended Hollywood Career Institute for the Phlebotomy Course and had such a great experience that I also enrolled for the EKG and Medical Assistant programs. This is probably one of the worst Schools I have ever come in contact with. The so called Medical assistant class is a whole 4 days. After that you get a supposed accreditation certificate which means absolutely nothing when you try to use it to get a REAL medical assistant job. Beware, this School is a SCAM!

Terrible terrible communication. I called the school to ask a question regarding my interest and the receptionist repeatedly answered the call and hung up in my face. Its unfortunate that they give people like her jobs because thats quite unprofessional… I will take my money elsewhere. I put a call through and ‘Lo and behold’ the world’s best Front Desk Telephone conversation. “Come quick Mama” she said and from Miami I got to Hollywood in a Jiffy . The Serenity was so relaxing, the beautiful Matching green color Decor and the smell of the room freshener were so very welcoming.At the Front Desk was the very beautiful and Impressive Lady who expressively explained the course outline and the payment plans. This Scintillating Conversationalist opened my mind, eyes and heart to more Philosophies of life and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. She cracked our ribs for over 30 minutes and I laughed like never before . After the whole Fun , she humbly introduced herself as (Amy ) and the owner of the School OMG....what a down to Earth being. I recently took the phlebotomy class here. It was was a one week course suppose to be 10-2. Half the time I was there I was just sitting, waiting, doing nothing, the information learned could have been learned in a 2 hours class, rather than a week. Never on time, class was suppose to start at 10, everyone was always late, wasting my time, then we would go over a small amount of info and take a (30-hour break) which was not needed bc again you would just sit there wasting your time. The class is only good for getting the certification, if you want the actual license you have to pay an additional $150 on top of what you paid for the class. I do NOT recommend taking the class. Although the staff members are very nice.

We all loved our class, the stuff and our professor. I would really recommend it to anyone trying to growth in the medical field.

THE WORST! I was the only student in the class that didnt speak Spanish. So I politely asked for the instructor to translate. HE WENT OFF ON ME! Then he proceed to teach the class in Spanish . I assume he was making jokes about me in Spanish because the whole class looked at me and began to laugh uncontrollably . He is very loud and rude. Any time someone would get a question wrong he was embarrass them and shake his head. WORST CLASS EVER! How ever the woman at the front desk was very kind. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Everyone In the class was repeating the course because they failed the test for CNA. So that shows that the class is CRAPPY.

The worst place ever, I got my Finger Print here and they didn’t even check my LICENSE to verify if I was the person or Check if the spelling of the name is correct. A month ago i went to Hollywood career institute to find out about the courses offered .i met with Mellissa and she explained each course given in details. Mellissa is a wonderful, courteous, patient, amazing staff . My intetest was the BHT. Due to my work hours i took home the material and did the course at home, completed the test. I took in tbe test and i was expecting more test to compleye. I was amazed that i only needed to do 50 question and recieved my certificste. I was elated, surprised and happy. I just wanted people to know this institute is a great place to continue your education. Mellissa and Amy are extraordinary people to help you achieved your career goals. I strongly recommend Hollywood career institute and i am considering doing anothe course. Thanks sooo much Mellissa and Amy.

I decided that I wanted to enter into a career to make a change and help people. Where I can do something that my kids can be proud of me when I go to work. Also a job that I can have time to spend with my family.I chose to attend Hollywood Career Institute because of the accelerated courses and great reviews. Most of the other institutes that I’ve researched have up to eight months of training. Let’s be real, being a single mother; going to school; and going through lifecycles there is no time to do Monday-Friday 8 to 5 class for eight months.Within one week I obtained my HHA certificate. I could’ve done the weekend class but I wanted to fully grasp all the information so I could successfully pass my CNA license state exam. Within a weekend I received my phlebotomy certificate. Another weekend earned my EKG certification. The following weekend after that I earned my advanced EKG certification. At home within a couple of days I studied hard to pass my BHT exam so I can become BHT certified. I also took my PCT exam and passed. So I earned all these certifications within one month time this past January.The wait to take the state exam at the school was two months. I passed on my first try. Right after I received my CNA license in the mail I put in job applications. I was offered a position at a few hospitals including Boca Regional Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Hospital. To have options when job hunting is an amazing thing.The instructor was absolutely terrific, he is kind and patient; furthermore he will will take his time with you to make sure that you know the material. Before I took the CNA exam they offered me to come back to the school to go through any classes that I wanted to refresh my memory. For free! It was awesome to take the exam at the school in a familiar environment.The receptionist, the manager, everything about the school and my entire experience was absolutely amazing. They work with you on payment plans as well as answer any and all questions that you may have. I felt at home when I first walked through the door. I cannot express what this school has done for me.The only thing I regret is taking so long to write this review. This school is legit and you will be making a great decision if you choose to go here.
