My experience at HIBC was great! My instructors all pointed me toward success. Gave me real life situations so I can learn, how to be successful at what I do. The staff all respectable. The environment is educational, everyone at this school knows how to make learning so fun. If I need learn more courses I know I can come back with open arms and be guided towards the right path that fits my needs. Would recommend!

I loved going to this school and being in Miss Ts class! She was always giving us great advice on life, our future, and on the material taught. The lessons were always fun to learn! I loved how we were given many opportunities to work in class, and with clients! The most exciting part of this school was working with clients! I really enjoyed my experience at this campus. My instructor was amazing and made the material very engaging and fun to learn. Mrs. Nelson is awesome! She made my registration process a breeze and was always available and ready to help. Our new campus director is like a breath of fresh air and he’s been making things around here better day by day. Please save your money and go somewhere else, the staff is unprofessional and will give you the run away. The ladies at the front desk are as helpful as they can be though. The administration team sucks with communications. If you want to really learn be in the morning do the nail class with Ms.K, she’s actually passionate about her job and isn’t just there for a check. I did the nail program and graduated July 3rd, never received a diploma, never got information how to obtain my license or anything. You call and email them & they say they will get back to you but they never reply.

I am currently a student here to be a nail technician and it’s amazing. The experience is everything I could possibly need and want and I’m so happy to have an amazing instructor Ms.K who goes above and beyond to help.

I came in with super dark hair (dark brown almost black) and wanted the top half bleached blonde. I honestly didnt think it would lighten too much, but Millie did an excellent job! It came out great, with no breakage or fallout. The instructor was awesome as well. She really seemed to care about me (the client) as well as the student, and gave valuable tips during application, as well as demonstrated. Ill be back in 6 weeks before Millie graduates for a root touch-up. Make sure Million Dollar Millie does your hair because shell do ya right!

I’m currently attending Hollywood Institute of Beauty Careers to obtain my profession in skin care & electrology . My experience at this campus has been better than I expected so far due to my instructor Ms. Rebeca she’s been doing such a Phenomenal job. She is very Helpful and Friendly . I come into the class with welcoming arms and the students that are in my class are very nice people. You can tell she really loves what she does she’s just the sweetest. She deserves a raise lol she really goes out and beyond for the school and her students.

DEFINITELY don’t recommend going here. I graduated last year in December and still have not received my license!!!! I’ve been getting the runaround for the past four months. It’s almost impossible to get updates on the status. I even started working at a salon and they were fined because of me not having my license although my hrs were complete and the school is paid off. Only good thing about this school was Ms.k the nail technician teacher but other than that FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL!!!

It has been six months since I have gotten my nails or toenails done because I was afraid to go out into a shop because of the coronavirus. They were so great at the school! They take everyone’s temperature when you go in; everyone must wear a mask; everything was constantly being sanitized; most items were either disposable or I could see them in a sanitation liquid; and the entire atmosphere was fantastic! I left there feeling more like myself again, which is a great feeling with everything going on in this world.

I’m on my 3rd program at Hollywood Institute and I absolutely love it! The staff and instructors are amazing and love what they do! They dedicate their time to make sure you get the information and pass state board! If it wasn’t for Ms.T, Ms.Bean, Charlotte and Tiana I wouldn’t be where I am today! THANK YOU HOLLYWOOD INSTITUTE! BEWARE!!!! DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!!!If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. I went into get my nails removed and a new acrylic set and the lady filed my nails paper thin!!!! It’s to the point where it hurts so bad and my nails are red! I told the lady that maybe she filed my nails too thin and she acted as if she didn’t and said that nail thinness doesn’t matter (it does matter a whole deal!) I was offered to come back and get my set that I didn’t get due to me being rushed out but lord, being rushed out by my parent was a blessing in disguise. I’m sure the acrylic set would’ve came out horrible too! Now my nails are damaged and I have to go through a healing process for them.PLEASE DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE AT AN NSS SALON!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!

It’s been a great and much needed experience to go to Hollywood Institute. The sanitation processes made me feel very comfortable In the “new normal” environment we’re all trying cope with. My nails and toes look great and the girls were all very professional. Thank you for making me feel safe.

Hollywood is one the best places to get a haircut, they are affordable and they have professionals by them at all times. I would highly recommended this to everyone who wants a high quality haircut at an affordable price. The front receptionist “Lorna” was very kind and helpful to me, she even gave me a 10% for the wait. That’s how amazing this place is, would highly recommend.

First of all I want to thank Mr.Sebastian. It was because of him that I decided to stay in class. As a Spanish student I was afraid. But he made me very comfortable and encouraged me to continue. He helped me so much with the Language and that made me more confident. I want to encourage my fellow Spanish speaks to push yourself and here at Hollywood Institute they help me a lot. He is an excellent professor I learned a lot of good techniques. He’s very understanding but strict he gives you the encouragement to do better and be the best.

I must say this is going to be a very honest review. Im a current student at Hollywood Institutes hollywood campus, taking the master of barbering course. The past year has definitely not been easy, I have had a few different instructors during my time at hollywood institute with not all of them being the best. But the instructors Jackie Parisi (first instructor) and Farouk Gahani (current instructor) definitely made a difference in my career, with their expertise in cutting techniques and business knowledge in our industry has definitely put me at an advantage. Though I have not spent much time with them, the current day time instructors Racquell Fields and Alex Perez try to be very informative and helpful. But I would definitely recommend that if you can take the evening class with Farouk Ghani, you should. Our office staff has definitely gotten better since I first came to Hollywood Institute they have made themselves into a well oiled machine, with Mrs.Theresa Bean as the campus director. She has made the school into a warm and welcoming place where you can come and definitely get a quality education that is worth every penny. The office staff strive to help every student to the best of their ability and they will work with you to make sure you graduate once you do your part. Nicolle Paez and Brian Gonzalez, the receptionists, are always patient and helpful when dealing with customers and students. Arsenio Colon, the salon coordinator is a huge team player, he is extremely informative, respectful, skilled and just all around knowledgeable about all of our services offered. He has definitely helped me become well versed in all aspects from barbering to cosmetology, if you have a question no matter how foolish you may think it is, Arsenio is your guy! Although I am not in the nails program, I have had the pleasure of working with Sandei Kirshen the nail instructor and she is absolutely phenomenal. I would say she has the best program running in the school, I have recommended her program to friends of mine and they would all say the same thing without a doubt. My overall time at Hollywood Institute has been a pleasurable experience and I would say that I got my moneys worth when it comes to my education most importantly! I have and will continue to recommend this campus to anyone looking to get into the beauty industry.

This school is definitely the place to be. I took the full specialist course and loved it. My skincare teacher Ms T, and nail teacher Ms K are so knowledgeable, and ready to help you be prepared for your new future. The administration Ms Bean and her staff are amazing. I am a recent graduate with my full specialty and electro license along with laser certification. The skincare program is fun and you learn (if you dedicate to studying) but I loved my electrology night class! Ms.M is an amazing teacher. She’s totally dedicated to her students and is willing to go above and beyond to help you pass the state board plus she has the best personality! I attended school for 10 months and even though I am finished - its a bitter sweet moment bc I will miss everyone who works there. I usually come here for hair cut.. have to say these guys are very professional and excellent at their jobs! Students do great job on their own and an instructor is always there if they ever need them.. receptionist always greeted me with a smile😊I definitely recommend this berber shop!

Being part of this program fit very well into my busy schedule and allowed me to further my education at a fast pace will still gaining knowledge that I will be able to retain once I begin a career. HIBC has a variety of programs and instructors that are able to cater to all students learning styles and goals. If a beauty career is the path you want to follow I strongly suggest you give them a call and set up a visit so you can decide if this is a fit for you like it was for me.

I attend the Hollywood campus for nails with Ms. K during the day time. She is a great teacher! The learning experience has been great for me! I’m so glad I found Hollywood Institute and Ms. K!

I do not recommend this place although the person who cut our hair did quite well, it took them more than 3 hours to cut my daughters hair and mine, because they do not cut two hairs at the same time although they gave me 2 appointments for the same time . The instructor treated me badly and was disturbed by the presence of my 3-year-old son, who spent most of the time in his stroller. Before they cut my hair, I asked for my money back because I did not like the way they were treating me and I felt uncomfortable, but they told me that because of policies they could not return my money, they could only give me a credit for another appointment. The instructor did not supervise my haircut and the student was very nervous and had to seek help from another more advanced partner. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, THE ENVIRONMENT IS HOSTILE AND THEY CANNOT TREAT THE CUSTOMER. At the end I was paying and deserved respect and good attention.

I loved the experience I had at this school. My instructors for my full specialist program Ms.T and Ms.K were very helpful. You will learn how to do everything that you need to know in order to be successful in your field.

Loved my wax & facial done here by a caring & professional student! Mrs. T in skincare was the instructor assisting that my services were done properly! It’s such a great alternative to a real wax center because it’s affordable. The student worked in a clean space & she was careful to not burn or leave me swollen after my waxing. Great experience! I’ll be booking again.

Coming to this school was a great experience. Staff is always professional, pleasant and eager to assist. I graduated a while ago and I am currently in job search, Career Services is very helpful and started sending me referrals of job openings as soon as I reached out.

Whatever you do DO NOT get the BHT certificate recovery centers and anything related to that field don’t require it, not mention some employers never even heard of it . Most rather take you if you have 1 year of experience or BHT license. Hollywood institute do not help you look for employment. I had mines for 4 years and see no use in it. 400 and something dollars down the drain !!!! I’m sure Nobody has that kind of money to waste.

First I would like to see that the receptionist Nicole is awesome. Im a very picky person. And she was very helpful to all of my needs. I had my hair colored washed blow dried and pressed. You would never know that it was done by students. And the teachers are awesome also very Hands-On. Will definitely be coming back.

I found this place about a month ago and love it. The students and staff are totally dedicated to great customer service. The salon is spacious and comfortable. The prices are great. I highly recommend it.

I attended this location and graduated from the Barber Program. Throughout my time attending this campus I had a great learning experience! Ms.Roxanna is the best professor I ever had in my life. Very knowledgeable, she knows how to find an appropriate way to every student. The material in electrolysis department is not easy, so she makes it understandable for everyone. I wish to have a professor like her everywhere I go to study.

If you show up to class with a positive, respectful attitude and are willing to learn and follow directions it will be a breeze. I can’t stand this school. They makin my classmates record videos asking the government to give them more financial aid money when they dont even wanna help me when I asked them to help me when I lost my job due to corona and I’m a SINGLE mother!! They very disrespectful an rude and never wanna help students. Also the teachers don’t teach and every few weeks it’s a new teacher.

I did not have a good experience. I think to go to this kind of places is a lottery. If was my first time here. The students are supposed to be supervised by the teacher. When the student was doing my nails, the teacher only said the color is good. But she never stopped the student and corrected her. The color did not look even. The nail polish was not only on my nail but also on the skin corners of my finger nails. I told the teacher about it she told the student to fix it but the student did not use the right tool, she just used a cotton. And then the teacher said they looked great and still talking about the color I chose but not the final result which was bad. Some nails looked good others not. When I went to front desk, they saw the nails looked bad, so another lady did everything again.

I had an appointment at 11am, and everything was ready to get started. Great service from super nice and funny people. I had a great time. Tamika did a killer job on my manicure and Derrick really is the king of pedicures. Lol! I will definitely come back!Ms.K youre doing a superb job!

Absolutely horrible. I understand these are students but at the end of the day I’m paying money for a service so they need to at least have somewhat an idea of what they’re doing. I’m not PAYING MONEY to be someone’s lab rat. If they are literally doing something for the very first time, LET THE CLIENT KNOW SO WE CAN LEAVE. My nails look a freaking mess, I wouldn’t even want them if they were FREE.

Ive been a client here for quite some time. The services have always been professional the students are so willing to learn. The instructors are always on hand to share their knowledge and support. All in its a wonderful well managed establishment. Ive had my hair worked on facials a delightful experience waxing pedicures and manicures the instructors were right there to make sure everything was done expertlyI will always be a client.

Great experience from begging till the end.Walked in with no appointment, walked out as the prettiest, happiest person ever.I know, I know, so many people thinks that these students are not professionals, well I hope I will make your doubts disappear :)Vika was taking care of me, she consulted with the teachers and made sure I will receive the best treatment possible.I enjoyed my 4 hour stay here (due to having full highlights)I saw how they treat each other and communicate, it was fun, I felt like I am the part of the crew :)I received a free conditioning treatment, free blowout and style.And when I walked to the register to pay, I also received free samples and coupons.I left the place feeling like a million dollar and I am very grateful for the whole crew to make this happen.Thank you HI! My daughter was looking for someone to do her makeup for her senior pics at the last min. We went to Hollywood Institute and made her an appointment for the same day within an hour. Jordan the makeup artist was very knowledgeable with her work. Needless to say my daughter was very happy. Jordan will be doing my daughter face for her graduation and prom

Hollywood Institute is the place to be! From my very first day until Today. I completed my journey. When I say this has been an experience.....Ms Bean my Campus Director was there, she understood my goals from the very first time we sat down and talked. She encouraged and pushed me to be the best that I can be.I had good instructors, that I have learned so much from.Now on to my barber license......This school is the best.

I go to the hollywood campus day time Miss.K class and I Just need to say she’s an amazing teacher, She Taught me how to do nail art which is amazing because I wasn’t able to draw before. I learned so much more from her class and 10000% recommend hollywood institution !

Visited this beauty school with my niece. Great atmosphere talented cosmetology students which makes sense when finally the teachers are there with the students. I met ms.natalie and boy does she interact well with the students, very impressed with her professionalism and how she handle all the students. Also the front desk receptionist is very courteous. Will come back soon.

Let me began by stating my issue is with Sarah from admissions & whoever the said registrar of this location. I drove 20 miles away from my home to be discriminated against. Information I could have received over the phone, I was faced to be humiliated with by Sarah & unknown registrar. As a previous student only attending the school for 1 month I would NOT recommend this place for education . They do NOT want passionate, motivated , hairstylists ! They want people who are gonna full up the space in the school & take advantage of ones federally funded dollars. If you have a PASSION for hair do not enroll in any Hollywood Institute. You can’t transfer locations if you want to . They will deny you entry into their programs.

Best school hands down!!!!! I did the full specialist program in the morning with Ms T and Ms K both amazing teachers. Everyone on staff are very supportive and encouraging.

Highly recommend for hair-cut . Got a really nice haircut and felt handled carefully with great detail. Very satisfied and love her work!!

Don’t take electrology in this school! The mediocreee roxana moreno is the worst teacher you will ever have! It’s a total waste of time and money!!! Honestly if you see a “good” review is literally the school staff !

I Love how professional and organized Ms. T (My skin care Instructor) Is. The classroom environment is like a family and everyone respects each other . I wish all i instructor could be like her. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

Terry the teacher made a difference! I can tell he will turn out excellent students. He is patient with his student and clear in his instructions also teaching the finer points of client care. I am totally satisfied with my haircut experience.

I recently went for a manicure and pedicure. Apryl and Daisha took care of me. Their care was excellent and professional. They really took their time making sure my nails looked and felt good. I had such a wonderful experience I already booked my next appointment.

Today Dec 17 2020 massage was very bad. The tech, Mary B. Stop my massage to go to the bathroom. She fail to maintain pressure. Being very over weight she had to use her whole body to reach parts of my body by laying on parts of my body. I did not get a full 80 minutes of massage. Her fingernails was to long too. Ask to get your massage first. If you do not like it do not pay. They will not give a refund at all.

Hollywood Institute was a success for me. I was instructed my Mr.Dru master barber extraordinaire . Hes swift with his hands light on his feet and got a joke or two to make ya chuckle. He help me become a barber and now I have my license. I suggest to anyone who wants there license in barbering to hit up Mr.Dru. Hes the truth man. Peace.

Great massage experience at Hollywood Institute of Bueaty careers! Very affordable and well worth your time. Definitely will be visiting them again. Check them out.
