Great choice on getting our daughter into Karate at a young age. The discipline we see in the class is exactly what we were looking for. Sensei and this Dojo is top notch.

We had the pleasure of Sensei Grant Campbell joining us in one of our virtual Zoom workout sessions. Many of us came from a variety of striking backgrounds, but through his vast wisdom and experience, he was able to teach his discipline in a way that connected with each martial artist. Taking a class with Sensei Grant doesnt just leave you sore and hungry for more - it expands your mind and your appreciation. Thats because Sensei Grant understands that you not only have to work the angle of your strikes, but you also need to understand why the angle of your strikes work when they do. These are just some of the points we were able to practice during the first hour session. Im sure hell have plenty more for our next class.With his explosive energy and the way he casually drops knowledge bombs makes me feel like we should be calling his classes virtual Boom sessions.Prepare for a dynamic, dynamite workout!

Our two boys were Sensei Campbell’s students for more than 3 years. They are no longer with him, because we’re moved to a different state. The martial art classes resolved many of our problems, had a very good influence on our boys behavior and helped them to believe in themselves. We are missing Grant Campbell’s USA Karate.We strongly recommend that school.

I was first introduced to Shihan Grant Campbell school 2 years ago. During the time that I’ve received his teachings I have definitely became more humbled throughout my training . I have built more confidence than I’ve ever imagined . The atmosphere is very inspiring as well as very traditional in the martial art culture. Today, we were fortunate and honored to have Shihan Grant lead our club (based in the San Francisco Bay Area) in an online Karate training class via Zoom. His class was amazing, covering a broad range of very practical skills and techniques, drills, and ideas that we can immediately apply, both during the current COVID-19 crisis and afterward, when life and training return to normal. I always learn a ton when we are able to spend time together and I am eagerly looking forward to our next class with Shihan Grant!

Great environment. Staff is excellent with the children. Learning Karate skills, respect, and courtesy are all part of the teaching program. My son loves the after school program. Bus pickup from school is very helpful for us busy parents! I highly recommend the program!

Being apart of this dojo is an experience like no other. We focus on self-defense, building strength, preparation for real-world situations, however we also strive for self-improvement. It’s not about winning competitions nor gaining rank, it is about striving to become a better person, a stronger person, both mentally and physically. The lessons learned at this dojo seep into our outside lives, helping us to cultivate our ideal selves. My daughter has been going to USA Karate for 2 years now. I initially put her in class to boost her self esteem and learn anti bullying defense. She used to be very shy, scared, and didnt know how to express herself well without inappropriate attitudes. I have seen her grow so much since she started here with the great help of Grant Campbell and his wonderful staff. She is more confident, less shy, believes in herself, motivated, and has improved in her behavior a lot. She has always been a an A/B honor roll, but has progressed even more to honor classes and continues thrive in school since she started. As a parent to a teenage girl it is important for her father and I to make sure she has the skills to defend herself if need to and Sensei has shown her very well to stick up for herself. Not only has she confide and trusted in him as a teacher, but he has also become a great friend of our family. He is very caring, loving, and what I like the most is that he teaches the students that its not about what color of belt you have, its not about the awards you get in competitions, its about the experience and what you learn along the way that matters. Not to many teachers go by this belief. She has attending two out of state competitions where she has done great with his help, these trips have been a lot of fun. I have to admit as parents, its great and very assuring to be able to trust in someone with our eyes closed. This is not easy for me as a mother to do. Even though my daughter is the one in the class, I have to say I myself have learned and taken in a lot from Sensei Campbell. He not knowingly has also made me more confident, more patient, and has reminded me that there is always a better way to handle things and that you can do anything as long as you believe and commit. He has been a great mentor and friend to my daughter and I look forward to many more years to come on his team. USA Karate is the best and only recommendation I can make for your child. We are truly pleased and blessed to be part of this family.

Just love this dojo. Sensei Campbell is very encouraging and makes the children really work for each and every stripe and belt. He teaches discipline with kindness and really pushes the kids to try their best.Our children have been going to Grant Campbell’s for one year now and wow what a difference! Aside from the work out and improvement in overall fitness, their confidence has simply soared. They are learning discipline, respect, focus, and most importantly perseverance. My son went from pretty good grades to amazing straight As on his report card at school. My 6 year old daughter now feels she can take on anything and fears nothing. My daughter started at the dojo a little over 3 weeks ago and we have already seen a huge difference in her. Sensei is amazing with his communication to the younger kids. He is patient and really understands how to pull the best from each child. He even makes sure they are upholding their behavior outside of the dojo as well. I called Sensei and we spoke for a few minutes to discuss a concern I had with my daughters elementary school behavior and then he turned it into a lesson for the whole class to learn without singling out anyone. Her behavior changed over-night and has been a model student in school.If you are thinking about putting your kid(s) in karate, I highly recommend Sensei Campbell. He has been a member of the Hollywood community for several years. Other black belt teachers in the school that started with him when they were young all came up through his program. I first met Shihan Campbell in 2008 while looking for a karate dojo for my 8 year old son, Austin. I signed him up for classes and aftercare with Shihan Campbell. Almost immediately, I saw a difference in my son. He became more confident, focused and generally more considerate. His academics and athleticism also improved.After seeing all the positive changes in my son, I was inspired to join and begin my own martial arts journey with Shihan Campbell in 2009, which was the best decision I could have ever made. I honestly never thought that I would be able to accomplish the things I have through the study and practice of martial arts.Its been over 10 years since I began training and in that time, Ive gained so many invaluable skills, lessons, and benefits that I will be forever be grateful to Shihan for but by far my favorite benefit has been developing the confidence and desire to push myself to try new things...things that I never would of had the courage to try before I began training. For example, at 40 years old, I decided to attend the Fire Academy and become a volunteer firefighter. Not only did I successfully complete the academy, but I earned the honor of being the first female class leader of my fire department, none of which would have been possible before I started training with Shihan Campbell.He has been a true mentor and friend to my family. He has helped me shape my son into the incredible and successful man that he is today. There is not a better dojo or martial arts instructor in the US & that is why my son & I will never train with anyone else. I currently travel from Georgia to continue my studies with Shihan & my son has continued his training while at college. I cannot say enough about his knowledge, skill, leadership, ethics, support & kindness & Im so honored to have him as my teacher.

I send both my children, Angela who is 10 and John who is 16, to Grant Campbells USA Karate. They love it there and I love that the dojo develops their Karate skills but also reinforces courtesy, respect for self and others as well as the virtues of hard work and perseverance. The afterschool program is so convenient for me and fun for my daughter. They pick up directly at the school, are open on early release days and administrative days. I cant say enough about all the instructors!
