My child has been at this day care for almost three years. He absolutely loves it and they love him. Both of the Directors Mrs Monnea & Mrs Aundrea are amazing and attentive. They both only want the best for all the children and their families. I have seen staff come and go, but those that care most about the children, their safety, and their education are still there. Mrs Monnea works with every family and their finances and genuinely cares. You are making a great decision by choosing this institution for your child.

We initially chose First Years University for its proximity to my office as we share the same parking lot. However, we have stayed these 3 years because of the quality of care my granddaughter receives there. She is well taken care of and constantly learning. All the staff are wonderful to her and very respectful to my daughter and myself and the owner is a delightful woman who is only interested in what is best for the children. First Years University has been a good choice all around.

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. My daughter only attended for a short time but she absolutely loved it! She use to cry and hold on to me, but now I can barely get her coat off before she is running off to see her friends and teacher. I felt compelled to update my review because of another review I saw that is almost laughable. Anyone who talks bad about this daycare is not in their right mind. My daughter is learning so much its amazing and she is happy as a clam at pickup. Ive been sending my daughter here for quite a while now. They LOVE when she comes through the door. Immediately they are ready to attend to her needs. I am fully confident in leaving her there for as long as I can/need to. My daughter always comes home a happy mess, just like a 1 year old should. The level of professionalism, customer service and passion at this facility is beyond belief. The owner and the staff truly are the epitome of child care providers. The center is always so full of life! I know that my children are safe and secure while at the center. It is really like an extension of your home because they always have activities, events and programs that include the entire family and extended family. My preschool son is thriving academically and socially in his Preschool For All program. And he just loves his teachers which is definitely a bonus! I also have a 12 week old at the center (he started when he was 10 weeks). I love the communication that I receive. On a daily basis, I receive a detailed report which makes me feel as if I was there with him the entire day. The owner is extremely passionate about child care and goes beyond any standard facility. I highly recommend this center. You will be happy and at ease knowing your child/ren are learning, developing and thriving in a safe, loving environment!

As a parent, I am picky with who I entrust my children to, and often will look to my boys for input on who watches them. You know youve struck gold when they tell you they love their daycare and their teachers! First Years is by FAR one of the best childcare facilities south of the city. My son has been attending FYU for 2 years now. I have never experienced a Daycare facility as great at this one! My son loves to go to daycare. They offer plenty of field trips and fun after school activities for the kids And parents. The teachers here love the children in their classes and you can feel that walking into their front doors. I appreciate the ethic the teachers bestow into the students about being friends and courteous to one another. I wish I could give ten stars!

The staff and owners are amazing! They pay attention to details and are passionate about educating all children that attend. My son is in the preschool for all program and he is learning so much. The staff is extremely energetic every time I come in to drop off or pick up. This is important since it is a daycare center. They are extremely professional and my family LOVE them! Someone is always available to answer any questions and they listen to the parents needs. You will NOT be disappointed!

This day care is one of the best ones your children can go to!!! The staff is very friendly and bond with the children. The kids are also exposed to learning and other social skills while going here. My daughter, who goes here, has learn and improved some much in the time she’s been at First Year. The environment is great and the staff is not just kind towards the kids but towards the parents/guardians too! I recommend this Daycare if you’re looking for a great day care.

When I say.....i looooove this school. My son is learning so much and excited to go every time. All the teachers are awesome and the owner is so sweet. I love that she is involved in the kids progression and she knows all their names. This place is definitely the place to be. ❤❤❤

I am a mother of seven.My youngest five attend First Years University.My kids never want to miss a day.They talk about all the activities they do after school with their friends.My two year old is learning how to count in different languages amongst other things. I am also an employee.I LOVE working here.Its so fulfilling being apart of the positive development in children.My family looks forward to coming each day.

I love 1st Years University. They work with me & make sure all of my needs are met. My 4year old attends full days & my 2nd grader attends after school. They provide the after school transportation so I don’t have to worry about picking my son up from school & taking him to after school. I enjoy interacting with the events (field trips, family game nights, etc) I wouldn’t have my children attend any other daycare after experiencing 1st years.

I LOVE First Years University. Im a parent of 3 boys and I switched there schools because I was not happy with the current one. When I enrolled them in First years University my sons started to learn so much. I remember going to a parent teacher conference for my 3 year old. At first I thought it would be the typical showing of drawings and coloring. to my surprise it was sooooo much more. I actually got to see my child engaging in activities and comprehending hat was taught in class. I will recommend any parent to enroll their child today.

I love this place and my children love it as well. The staff at First Years University are awesome. Very friendly and takes good care of my children. Wouldnt trust them being at any other childcare facility.

Hi everyone,My children are new to first years preschool and I am happy and confident to say that this is the best daycare Ive been too ever since my children have been born. I have 3 kids all different ages and each of my children are taken care of above and beyond what I could even ask for. Ms. Monnea is a wonderful director and runs a fabulous daycare. I would recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone looking for their child to be somewhere where they evolve the family and allow their team and the parents to connect and basically get to know who watches your children all day.... I have so many wonderful things to say about this daycare. But im just going to say anyone who thinks this daycare is less then what it is hasnt been here or is just dying to put a bad name to it.... Love First Years keep it up ladys you all are the very best!!!

Very pleased....I am a 1st time parent and she is my everything so I was very cautious about putting my daughter in daycare. The staff greeted us so warmly as if we were family after taking a tour I felt very comfortable that she was in caring experienced hands. The meal plan was well thought out and nutritious and lastly they recap with me everyday about her progress im a satisfied parent thank you and looking forward to good things

I have 2 children who attend FYU and I have been very pleased from the registration process to the level of care provided to both my children. My children are at an age where they can tell me how they feel about things and they both love it here!! Ms. Monea, Ms. Maricia, Ms. Wendy and Ms. Patrice are wonderful at their job and thats just to name a few. The staff, the instruction, the after school transportation are all things that give parents peace while they are working. The level of communication between parents and the staff is impeccable! The owner treats our children like her own, shes always so caring, loving and has a total open door policy for any questions or concerns. My last daycare experience was a mess and of course coming from that I was nerves to start my kids over fresh somewhere else, but I am glad I took a chance because this is a great daycare and my family and I wishes the owner much success!!

Not the best child care facility and I agree with the lady jasmine who commented , the owner does lie and cover up for her staff in there wrong doing from personal experience , they pull they kids ear to get them to listen, I also remember a incident in which a child excaped multiply times off the playground and they did nothing about it. The owner drinks , she once transported children in her personal vehicle in which kids reported she had alcohol bottles in her car. She definitely is a ghetto slumlord hiding behind this daycare facility. Not the best work place either unless u want to have fingers worked overtime to the Bone and then be mistreated and under paid, because shell work you overtime but then refuse to pay you because she cant afford it.

My daughter has been going here for about a month now and she is in love. When I arrive she doesnt want to leave. The owner Monae and the staff are amazing I love the welcoming feeling get when I walk in the door.

FYU is great! Im a first time mom and child care made me nervous, but the staff there is so warm and inviting it definitely feels good knowing that my son is in good hands. I totally would recommend this place.

I dont have any kids at this facility but I would like to make a suggestion. I called to get information and possibly enroll my son, and the woman who answered was very dry and didnt even attempt to provide any information about the daycare. She gave me a one word answer after answering the phone after 15 rings lol. I cant imagine how anyone would even want to proceed with a daycare that cant even provide basic customer service, let alone leave their kids under your care.

My daughter has attended FYU for the past 5 years. Now getting ready to graduate PreK and move on to Kindergarten. I can not express enough how blessed we are to have our son at First Year University. We moved from another town far north and assumed all child care providers were equal. We soon learn how wrong we were. After enrolling our son in another child care center we quickly learned he was being abused. As a parent you want your child safe and treat properly. We were very hesitant to enroll him anywhere else. I came across First Year University through google and gave them a call. The woman that answer the phone was warm and welcoming and she invited us in for a tutor of the school. I was a bit apprehensive but I knew we couldnt let one bad experience stop our son from meeting new people and learning new things. When we arrived to the center we were greeted by staff and I instantly felt at ease. They encouraged our son to play and explore and he wasnt afraid. I spoke to Mrs. Monea about our pass experience and she was genuinely upset that we went through such trama. She personally called me after our son started and provide updates on how he was doing. She took the time to make us feel comfortable and to reassure us our child was safe. The learning environment here fosters children to be individuals and work as a team with others. There is NO negative directives here only positive redirections. My son has learned to speak up for himself and can even identify good decisions verses bad ones. He is encouraged to learn and is free to be a 3 year old. I can not thank the staff and Mrs. Monea enough for all that they do for our children.

Finding a child care can be a real challenge, I know Ive been there. I’m lucky to have found the perfect daycare.. My kids have been attending FYU for about 4 years now. The school setting is safe and clean. This is now like a second home. My kids would get mad if I picked them up early. All staff was nice and appropriate to adults as well as students. Im always impressed by how caring and knowledgeable everyone at the school is, truly excellent and devoted staff that treats young children with tenderness and affection, very approachable staff and want the best for you and for your family. We love it! ❤️ FYU is a high quality experience all around. The leadership/ownership was warm and supportive to our needs. My son has asthma the teaching staff took the time to learn about his asthma and his different signs of distress breathing. As a mother we worrying about our kids all the time but with FYU it’s one less thing I have to worry about. I know there safe.

I rate the daycare a 10 the teacher are on top of everything and always pleasant when u bring the kids my 3 grandchildren go there love that daycare

I had a experience with this center not directly but my sister worked their and my neice went there to. Not the place to work or have your child reside. i never saw or heard so much HARD Labor in a daycare facility. the kids share cots, they dont clean properly , and i swear they so unprofessional behind close doors!! The owner walks through the building cursing and half the staff isnt properly licensed for what theyre doing. they children get physical punishment (writing lines and timeouts in a chair in the corner)im just saying there sneaky WATCH THE OWNER closley you will see the fraud

First and foremost I want to thank First Years University for the opportunity to have my child a part of such a warm, respectful, and secure environment. As a parent who has always been fearful and nervous about the idea of childcare I can honestly say it has been more than a smooth transition. My last childcare experience had me stressed, wondering what I would find wrong every time I picked my child up. Well FYU made that difference for my family. The director Ms. Monnea and assistant director Ms. Patricia are professional, humble, and all about the success, safety, and development of the children. My sons lead teacher is Ms. Sheena, she acknowledges him every time he walks through the door, she is very nice and she keeps me informed on what is going on and what he needs. I really love FYU and my child is always eager to go and that speaks for itself!!!

My daughter was only attending the daycare for about two months and I’m very unhappy with the services first off my daughter had a fever and the director Moana called me to tell me she had a fever I told. Her to give her some medicine she told me she couldn’t but my daughters medicine had been sitting there with no paper work filled out she had no idea and neither did the teachers.. the teachers never know what’s going on they lie to you. Right. To your face my daughter has been injured 3 times in a two week time frame 2 events Being from another child I call Moana the director to ask how many times does a child need to be hurt for them to take action she was very rude and told me that she wasn’t going to discuss another child with me and told me she had things to do and hung up on me I’m a concerned parent and if you are you wouldn’t send your kids there they don’t notify you right away when something goes wrong with your kids and they don’t do paper work my child was bitten by another kid and I didn’t know until 3 days later and they dated the report for the day they told me Moana the director has no clue what’s going on in her own daycare I came in one day and my daughter was on a cot with no sheet on it..she had no idea about that and also do not believe these positive google reviews I know some one that their paying to do positive reviews on them they are not here for your kids they just want your child care check..the teachers are slow as well a lot of them are not qualified to do the job.. and the director.. how you running a daycare and never. Know what’s going on with people kids they do have a staffing issue as well teachers are in and out which makes it hard for your child to adjust I also witnessed a teacher throwing spoons at the kids at the eating table and I would call DCFS but it’s not worth it all the kids they have will leave because it will be found out that they are bogus the place is very unorganized and runs. Dysfunctional I am a real person search me on FACEBOOK I also had no idea about important things like all my baby stuff needing labels and when it came to seeing how much my daughter aet the teachers just put anything on the papers and Moana told me out of her own mouth she saw her teachers doing that and didn’t say anything.. I had to tell them numerous times not to give my baby milk and I gave them a doctors notes,.,bottom line don’t send your kids here

They never answer their phone and the people are completely irresponsible.
