Gym is large and semi clean.Parking is tough at peak hours.Some of the front desk staff need help with customer service and friendliness. Danny, Kawai, and Josie are great.

Gym is the best Ive worked out at, not only does it have everything you need mats, food/drink counter, bags, weights, rooms, sauna, shower, etc. But the community there is solid. Some of my best friends Ive made in Hawaii have been at this gym, whether youre a fighter or a bodybuilder this gym is it. Mad respect to Juan Gomez too who seriously helped me out with my membership needs

Why is this gym listed as Fridays and Mondays closed? We signed up for 24hr service 7 days a week. If this is the case we should be refunded a portion of the monthly fees were still paying for less service NOW!

New stairs machines and they did repair a lot of the older machines that was still there. Very clean and well maintained

This GYM managing team like an international fraud group. Dont hand over your card information when you pay. Theyre used to cheating and theyve been doing it, so theres no guilt at all.

Make sure to ask the contract paper. After a month they gonna charge extra $60 for ridiculous reason. I asked to deleted my card information, but they keep charging with my card. Youll lost money if you think a they will not cheat.

The gym is really nice. The facility is clean and there is plenty of equipment. Most staff members are friendly.However, DO NOT trust these guys with billing. I would not keep a credit card on file. Use a virtual card and set a limit on the card for the gym.You may get random charges or be charged for more than expected and when you try to address it they are rude and not helpful.If there was another gym with boxing equipment and decent weights I would go elsewhere.Read the other reviews. If you get random charges or overcharged dont say we didnt warn you.

Amazing gym with great staff and very friendly members. On top of that, the gym is so freaking huge! I’ve never been to a UFC Gym this big. Walking from one end of the gym to the other already feels like a good warmup. They also have a good little food/snack area called the “Armbar.” That area even has live music every other Friday.For anyone that wants to work out, take dance classes, do mma, boxing, Jiu jitsu, etc. This is THE spot for your exercise and learning needs. I have nothing but good things to say about this gym.

The gym advertised $21 for 21 and the terms and conditions do not specify residency. I was charged $130/month, given the fact that I was in Hawaii just for 3 weeks. I called back 3 times to get clarification on the ad and what I was charged for, they would placed me on hold for hours and hours. I got really frustrated and went back to meet the guy (Ricky) that signed me up. He said that I was wasting my time and he said the residency conditions applied. I am like you say something that is different from the terms and conditions of your ad. The staffs are not professional. I do frequent Hawaii and I will never return to this location again. I will opt for other gym with better service.

Great gym, but billing is a disaster. #1 said i had to freeze account in person. Billing date was on 12th so i went and froze account on the 11th. I STILL GOT CHARGED for the entire month. Aparently you also have to give exact amount of time you will freeze the account or they just open it back up and charge full price with no warning. So I pay for the month but explain that i would like to freeze my account for max time of 6 months. Girl says ok all good i got you. Next month comes and again I am charged full price. After recieveing email from manager who said would do me a solid and void the full price charge I have yet to be refunded or heard anything back. It has been a week, and of course their phones go straight to a full mail box. Gym is dope, butmanagement and billing not ok.

I am a new member at UFC gym and I visited the newly opened “arm bar” cafe and had a wonderful experience! I was helped by two girls named josee and Kate and they talked over all the different options for me, gave me suggestions, and even told me their favorite items on the menu. I was overwhelmed by their kindness and can not wait to visit again, arm bar just might be my new favorite spot!!

Juan was very helpful with membership and fitness classes. Highly recommended!

Good concept but needs some new machines

100% does not adhere to covid restrictions or enforce any mitigation strategies.Nice equipment but terrible everything else. The gym has virtually now parking as a result of it always being packed. I have gone at 7 am and at 9 pm, no matter when you go... it’s overcrowded. This problem directly affects the availability of equipment. People take forever on equipment sometimes with rotations of more than five people on one machine, even during covid. Additionally, equipment is often out of repair for weeks on end when the solution is as simple as ordering a new pin for the weight stack.

I agree with the previous post - don’t give them your credit card information! I signed the membership cancellation papers early last year, was free and clear from my membership, and just now received a random charge on my card. I have contacted them multiple times to get this resolved but they’ve basically ignored me and told me I had to submit and claim and do all this legwork to correct the fraudulent charge. I cancelled my membership a year ago! Management is unhelpful and clearly inept and customer service is terrible. Also this gym is extremely dirty.

The UFC Honolulu is by far the best exercise facility I have attended since moving to the island in 2017. I have been a member of this gym for 3 months now and the convenience of the facility, friendly ambiance, and cleanliness of the equipment/atmosphere have been the strongest influences on my consistent return. If you happen to stop by, I recommend you ask for Josee at the front desk to help you get settled in with the gym and what it has to offer. If you’re looking for a good trainer, you should definitely talk to Reggie. 10/10 would recommend to all of my friends and fellow students living in the Honolulu area.

I signed up with UFC right around the time after the first COVID shut down. Originally I had just enrolled myself and then after a month and a half I added my husband. I was told that I was being switched from the $59.99 membership to the $89.00 membership. Turns out they just bumped up my membership and then added my husband on another membership under my same credit card, making me think that I was only paying $89 for the both of us since you can supposedly bring a family member with you. They had my husband sign the updated contract as well, but little did we know it was another contract! We just thought he was being added on to mine which why they bumped me from 59.99 to 89.99. What they actually did was not only bump me up to pay more but then they charged me for another membership under my husbands name when really all wanted was him to be added to my account as a guest since you’re allow to bring one person! In addition to that that they charged me 2 annual fees. Regardless of when you sign up they will charge you on October 31st per person! Which is crazy because they were shut down most of the year due to Covid. When I called to question the billing an employee named L-Jay was so rude to me and refused to let me speak with a manager. He wouldn’t hear me out or let me explain what I was showing on my bank statement. He made me feel like I was lying about the charges. When I asked for the customer service line he told me to look it up online. I can go on and on about what was said, but the fact is ...it was handled very poorly! I refuse to give my money to a gym who doesn’t care about how they treat their customers. My advice to anyone wanting a membership at UFC is to be very weary of what you are signing. There’s a lot of hidden fees that they don’t tell you about and if you need to make changes to your account.. make sure they explain to you what you are signing. If you can, don’t give them your credit card information!

This is my favorite place because it truly is a gym for EVERYONE. It doesn’t matter your age or experience, there is something for every member of your family. They coaches are amazing, and the beginner or elite athlete can get what they need out of this club.

The best of the best on Island.Dealt with Juan Gomez - the Assistant General Manager and was treated like Ohana.This gym has everything, and more. Best, it is a 24 hour operation.Want to train like a world class athlete, then head over to this world class fitness center.

Its a good place to work out more equipment than other gym and they have bags to beat

I love this place but can we do a better job with the cleanliness of the locker rooms and bathroom areas. I hate going in there after a workout or a class just to see it look like it hasnt been cleaned in days. Other than that the place is great.

This is the cleanest gym Ive ever been to Honolulu! Plenty of machines and weights and I love it. People here are all nice and I make a lot of new friends. My only complaint here is the parking, it sucks but tolerable.

Do not trust these people with your debit card,they took $251 from my account in unwarranted fees and charges,after paying them in cash for my membership.When I called to ask about it,they gave me the run around and than finally told me that there isnt anything they can do since the payment was already deducted,no refund or anything,i am out of $251 never to get it back.They will lie and cheat to get you to sign up,and once they have your money,you can feel as if they simply just dont care.

Personally I am a huge advocate of appropriate lighting, whether it be at a restaurant or a grocery store and when it comes to UFC Gym, the lighting is perfect. Not only do the lights prevent the mirrors from showing my true Gumby like form, they give me the confidence I need to push through a workout.

I like the equipment and different spaces that is available to everyone. I like the Suana that is in the bathroom. Your cleaners do a great job. And we really the people that take care of our kids in childcare. I give it 9/10 because some days parking sucks. But other than that I really like this gym. Much better than 24 hour Fitness Ala Moana.

The female operations manager Erienne is a rasict. Everyone else there is friendly and extremely helpful. Shes a bad apple I guess. Other than that its the best gym Ive ever been to.

Paper towels have always ran out at night. Sometimes the music that they play sounds like you are at a country club; need more music that pumps you up. Parking has never been a problem for me since I come to the gym at 9pm. Many people just sit in their cars for a long time on their phones while others waiting to get a good lot.

Ive had this membership for a while. Pricing has been pretty good. However, I have not been using my membership for about half a year now and wanted to cancel my membership online. UFC Gym has made it so that we are not able to cancel our membership online. It seems that they want to make it as inconvenient as possible for you to cancel your membership so that it is less likely they will lose a customer. Very disappointing.

The assistant GM Juan Gomez, sold me on the gym. He was very personable, available, and sensitive to my pre- existing injury’s and financial limitations. The ability to audit every class a couple of times as well as sessions with a trainer/PT allowed me to better gauge what I can still tolerate as 46 year old broken down soldier, and UFC gym to up sell a membership package. And my wife’s lengthy trial member sold her on health and fitness again, getting her back in the gym for the first time in over 20 years, which absolutely would not have happened with just a 3-4 day pass. Also the boxing couches and class instructors were flexible, understanding of my injuries and quick to alter training to accommodate me.One more thing, in most every big commercial/corporate/chain/franchise gyms(24hr fitness, planet fitness etc.) I’ve been to walking in and going up to the front desk is akin to a wounded fish straying into shark infested waters. Had any sales predators smelled blood and started to circle I would have immediately walked away costing both the gym and myself an opportunity. But that wasn’t the cast. I was immediately referred to the assistant GM who, didn’t pressure me or attempt to “sell” me. His approach felt to me as an attempt to educate and maybe show off the place. And his kindness didn’t end the moment he got money, so thanks Juan.

UFC is always open and always clean, which are both important to me. Furthermore, the atmosphere there is one of utmost respect. People are there to train and they are kind and respectful of other peoples space and time by not hogging equipment sitting there on their phones and taking selfies. The staff is super nice and their trainers are the best. Ask for Chris Yoshikawa! He genuinely cares about your progress and really is there to help motivate you through the process. Hes so knowledgeable of the human body too, which really will definitely benefit your training session with him.

If you workout between 3 and 9pm yeah, it will be crowded. but, if you there any other time its amazing. LOTS of room and weights. everyone there is super friendly and its really clean for the amount of traffic.

Untrustworthy. I returned a $50 item that was pushed on me and it took two months for the refund to process, because they never submitted a refund... Luckily I took a picture of the hand written receipt they created and kept. Aside from that there was no record of my return.I had to freeze my plan and personal training sessions because of unforseen financial issues. When I signed up, I was told I can freeze my account at any time. So, I went in, froze my account, and was told payments would resume in April. Seemed easy enough. Nope, I just got charged $192 today. Im cancelling membership ASAP, but fear that wont be enough and these snakes will keep taking my money. Will probably have to cancel membership and credit card attached to this place. Such a hassle

Definitely feels like home. Joined classes, made new friends. Learned from coaches, found the ones I like and know I can always book a session for their expert services. Do my own solo workouts or with friends whether its group classes, weight training, strength or stability training. I knew after a free one week trial, I wanted to put in a big deposit to pay less monthly. Eventually broke even, so now its profit for the value of taking as many classes as I want and 24 hour available entry to workout at select gyms. And with my Ultimate VIP membership Ive visited other UFC gyms locally in Hawaii, nationally in the mainland like California, and internationally like at the grand opening of UFC Gym Singapore. Im even thinking maybe Ill open up my own franchise someday, maybe in another part of Philippines more accessible to incoming businessmen and businesswomen.

Had a brief opportunity to work out at the gym. Hands down the best membership based gym I ever attended. Friendly people, staff and amazing views 😉. I kid, but seriously the place is awesome. If I was staying here I would be a lifetime member and considering I have free access to base gyms, thats saying something.

The gym itself has quality equipment. But the customer service is the absolute worst I’ve ever seen. The gym has owed me a refund for an extra month I was charged and they have been unable to process my request now for almost 3 months. Management refuses to return phone calls, texts, and emails and they originally claimed that they didn’t believe the promotion was legitimate when I signed up. They made me prove my case with photos that I needed to provide. After providing photo evidence, they are still adamant that there’s nothing they can do about it. “It’s a corporate issue, not us.” Bottom line is don’t trust anyone at the front desk or any of the management. I’ve never been more happy to leave a gym.

If only their janitors were more consistent with cleaning the bathrooms. Burnt out lights (previously for months), rubbish all over the place, filthy floors, no soap and CLOGGED UP SHOWER DRAINS. Who wants to bathe in another persons filth?! For crying out loud, I dont understand why you guys cant do an hourly check-up sheet for your janitors simply for accountability sake.

Before you sign read every little disclaimer, I almost payed $3,000 in personal training and they werent able to transfer my personal training sessions to the gym here in california. And also they wont refund my money . Regardless of who I talk to this manager to that manager its just a big headache not being able to end this and just get reimbursed.

As long as you are going early in the morning or late at night, its great. The parking here is a joke, though. They do have valet parking, where you park your car yourself around back and give them the keys in case they need to move your vehicle, but during peak times its often completely full and youre left to park blocks away. Basically, its a good gym if you wOrk odd hours, but if you plan to work out after work, forget it. This gym costs way too much for so-so equipment and missed classes due to parking. Dropping my membership as soon as I can get there in person to sign their paperwork .

A very decent gym when not over-crowded. The worst part of it remains its members, and with attendance quintupled in the last two years, it’s difficult to recommend it.

An honest and unbiased review as follows. I wont completely bash them but they definitely need some improvement. The customer service and management is pretty bad. Majority of the staff are unfriendly and act as if theyre too busy to even greet you. Dont bother trying to return anything even with a receipt. They dont seem to care either way once they have your $$ because for every unsatisfied customer there will always be other people to join strictly for the name recognition of UFC.The bathroom and locker rooms are dirty. They should put more cleaning stations near the free weight areas. Its way too far away and not enough of them so it discourages already lazy people to wipe down machines and benches after use. Recommend bringing a full body towel to put on benches before use unless you enjoy a case of rosacea from lying in a puddle of somebody elses sweat. The parking sucks and dont see why members should have to pay for valet that is in the back of the building with no entrance. BJ Penn should choke out the manager for continuing to keep the club in this disarray that carries his name.Despite my earlier comments they do offer a wide variety of equipment and training options which is my main reasons for continuing my membership. The hours are good and able to fit a variety of daily schedules. Having a sauna is a big benefit. This gym only requires some fine tuning and it would be outstanding. Always read your contract obligations before blindly signing away.

I will give a full 5 stars as soon as they offer no gi jiu jitsu.

This was my go-to gym for a long time. Its gone downhill over the years. Its too bad cuz it takes me less than 10 min to walk their from my condo.

They do not have any MMA classes and only sport based gi bjj. UFC is MMA and the UFC gym does not have MMA classes...

I gave them a whole month to refund me my one month gym membership. I contacted them three times and they failed. Im still down $50 and highly disappointed in their customer service.Im a recent grad from college. When I came back from college over the past two summers, I go to this UFC because I enjoy the workout facility and the overall spacious gym. My first two summers there have been great. I would have recommended this gym to everyone. There are some drawbacks such as the sometimes dirty equipment, the lack of parking, or the gym meat heads who wont share weights, but I dealt with it. I enjoyed the friendly staff. However, my opinion changed this summer.Heres the story. Coming back to Hawaii for 2.5 weeks, I thought I could get a deal for a membership in that short period. I called in, asking about the $15 for 15 day offer to see if it applied to returning members and the person who picked up the phone said it did. I went in, and it was not valid. I used to sign up with Juan Gomez, a membership specialist. Hes been there for a few years, and hes been cool. I thought he cared about the members, but I was wrong. It seems like he only cares about how many people he can sign up for a gym plan. Walking in this time, Juan persuaded me to sign up for a one month gym plan for $50. He said that if I come in three times, itd be worth it because each walk-in is $15 (still a bit expensive for my budget I thought). I agreed initially, but after carefully thinking during my workout about my time in Hawaii, I figured that itd be better to go hiking with friends instead of being a gym rat. So I told Juan that I wanted to cancel it. He said that he already processed my gym membership request and that it will take a few business days to refund my money. So I paid for a walk-in ($15) instead. Yet in that moment, Juan told the front desk right in front of my face that we need to cancel his membership because he cant even bother to come in three times! Excuse me, Juan. But let me do what I want with my free time. I left with a bitter taste in my mouth.Over the following month, I called in three times and they said the overall online system is delayed on payments. They promised me that I would receive my money by last week. Where is it??I know its only $50 and that is chump change to some people, but considering how I called three times and having been told that I would have gotten refunded by now, I am highly disappointed in the unprofessional service at this UFC gym, especially with Juan. I have now filed a credit card dispute and am excited to get back my money that I requested back a month ago. Im not sure if I will ever return to this gym.Edit: They finally refunded it. One of my favorite places to workout! Lots of classes, variety of machines, free weights and plenty of toys (weighted balls, ropes, tires, etc.)Trainers available for help/assistance.Open 24 hours for those with a variety schedule.Parking can be a challenge but offers valet services during peak hours.Day care for those with children is also available.And the Arm Bar offers a variety of drinks, protein shakes, and food options. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS UFC GYM TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡Me and my husband visited Hawaii for the 1st time for our honeymoon 2 weeks ago.My husband found out about this gym and was so excited to try it out whilst we were on vacation. My husband booked and payed $100 for 1 UFC lesson with one of the staff members, and was able to use the gym for 1 week, mean while he only wanted to do the 1 UFC lesson so he only trained once or twice the whole time.Lachlan my husbands lesson was booked in for 9am on Monday the 15th of October 2018. Lachlan got to the gym, 9am passes and the trainer still was not their, the staff call the trainer, he is running late he was not going to be Their until 9:45am / 10am we needed to reschedule as we had other plans at 10:30am. So they took our number down and was going to call us to arrange another time once the trainer showed up for his shift, no one called to do so.We were going back home to Australia afew days later. Lachlan called the UFC gym a day or two after they were meant to call us back to see what was going on and why they didnt return his call, they then said we will call you back well they didnt! We were both not impressed after this at all as this is very UNPROFESSIONAL!!Lachlan went into the gym and asked for his money back they said that they would refund it and the it would go into our account about 7 days later. It has been 2 weeks and they still have not refunded the money they are an absolute joke!!! 😡😡😡

Me on treadmill running and watching football.Guy gets on treadmill next to me 10 minutes later.Me finishing up in 2-5 minutes.Random UFC coach or worker or possibly some random guy they gave the remote to comes up, looks at me, looks at guy next to me, asks him if its okay to change the channel...guy agrees.Me (stopping treadmill and taking out an earbud): Thats messed up, what if I was watching that?Guy looking embarrassed and dumb: oh, Im sorry...were you watching this?Me: Guess not anymore, but its all good, Im done anyhow Good job UFC...maybe let only employees handle anything that involves customers/customer service/or amenities provided by UFC.

Wait time for a squat rack can take upwards of 45 min.People trying to park on the side become complete animals during the day.Equipment has been old and busted for years now, barbells especially.AC hasnt been functional since… well, forever. Summer is unbearable with no ventilation at all.One of the coaches tried to cheat me out of a parking stall up front, saying its for the manager only. I parked anyway and went in to ask the manager. He said its open to anyone.

Mustve been an amazing gym when it first opened. Now itsi starting to feel more like 24 - just packing as many meat heads as will fill the sq footage.Equipment breaking down (esp the dual cable/arms machine), generally smelly place & most of all- the bathroom situation continues to worsen. Showers out of soap/no soap dispenser, Uncle Gala who takes 2hr showers every morning - continuously hawking galas & blowing his nose in the back-righ shower. The right urinal has been broken for over a year already. Cmon guys! BJ would be very disappointed.

More class options here than in the waikele one. But Ill be using both of these gyms to get my training in. Besides that, its the same gym. Its the gym for athletes for the most part to train at. Especially for fighters. I also see crossfit athletes train here also. Join this gym if youre an athlete. Its the only commercial gym to do your training at. You cant get this kind of training anywhere else.

The best equipment around and super clean.

They offer Krav maga on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They used to have Capoeira and parkour. The locker rooms also have a sauna to warm up before your workout or relax and unwind after your workout. They have showers for you to use and a good selection of machines.They also have events when theres a big UFC match.

Parking stalls are taken for vale services. Either pay for vale, park on the street somewhere or get lucky.

The UFC Gym in Honolulu doesnt have the best customer service. The staff seems to have been instructed to screen those coming in to the gym. They can be nice but are always ready to be on the defensive and think your doing something negative. I have tried calling the gym over the past few weeks to get the corporate information so I could write a letter to the president of the company. The staff gives me the run around and when I ask to have one of the managers call me they never call me back. Also I tried taking a Capoeria class and was highly disappointed by the Instructor and the seasoned athletes in the class. The instructor never introduced himself, I dont know his name and he didnt explain anything about Capoeria, the culture behind it and the words used. He did however laugh many times at my mistakes and continued to make the atmosphere uncomfortable by only engaging with students he was familiar with. I also felt that because I am a gay american, the men in the class including the instructor were homophobic and treated me like I was a person walking around with the flu. Only one person helped me through the class and it was another student that happened to be young and gay.I am a highly educated person and I know exactly were Capoeria originates from and the cultures behind it. Seeing a man who is not a part of the cultures that Capoeria comes from teach the class in the way he did, offended me as a person of African Descent. I dont even think he cared and look at it as Oh well this guy here is never coming back, hahahah.The instructors at this gym are great IF you take the group exercise class. Stick with the kickboxing class, the instructor actually cares about you and wants to help you grow. If you take the other classes with former bodybuilders and UFC athletes be prepared to see weird looks, have fake interactions with the instructor and its about the money with them. If you do decide to go here and stay here. Pay for the least expensive package. I pay $93.00/month so I have access to all the classes, which I now see as a mistake. Also you can not bring a guest or friend with you. I was originally told that in my contract I could have my fiance come, now when he trys to come with me to help me with my weight lifting, I am told that he needs to pay a $10.00 fee. I believe that the UFC gym is an ELITIST gym and they are discriminatory but in an indivisible way. You must know what to look for and what to see in order to understand my last sentence.Most of the people working out in the gym are people who compete in Fitness and Bodybuilding competitions and/or UFC Fighters, there is always tension felt in the air and if you dont look like a bodybuilder or fitness model you do get strange looks and stares from those who do look like bodybuilders or fitness models. I even had an experience where I formally knew a young lady from outside the gym that is a fitness model and competes. She became an IFBB Pro, I approached her at the gym and she started acting stuck up and as if she didnt have time to speak to the little people now that she is a pro. When I would say hello, she acted like this was an issue and started having her husband stay with her and give me dirty looks. Wow! All this from people who formally introduced themselves to me at other gyms but now that there at UFC gym and consider IFBB PROs they have no time to just nod hello or talk to people they know. A very disheartening and insensitive situation, for those trying to achieve their own goals.I plan on cancelling my membership very soon and going to another gym. Think very very hard before going to this gym and dont trust the membership people its all about numbers, quotas and statistics to them. Its a money and numbers game for them. However there are some staff and instructors who are kind and want to help you but it seems after a while that they are under some tension to fill quotas . There is a wire mesh cage in the middle of the gym, which makes me feel better.Some people seem to be athletes who are training in earnest, but there are also people who are like Obasan in the neighborhood who are doing casual fitness, so you can feel free to stop by.

Its a great gym.There are even weight machines, cardio machines and martial arts rings.
