My two boys look forward to Martial Arts class every day!! It’s their favorite part of the day!! Mr. Nathan truly cares about his students as a whole. Not only their performance on the mat, but also their overall well being and demeanor to build lasting friendships and role models. The values taught at Next Level Martial arts begin with confidence, discipline, and respect and while we teach these same values at home, I’ve seen such a positive change in both of my boys in the past six months they’ve been at Next Level Martial Arts.One of my boys struggles with ADHD and the other with sensory processing disorder and a developmental delay. They’ve both struggled with confidence, making friends, boundaries, short tempers, and staying focused. Lately, they’ve had more confidence, they’re proud to say that they’ve made new friends, they’re learning how to effectively communicate about their personal boundaries (and respecting other’s boundaries), they’ve both been able to focus, and they’ve been amazing with controlling their tempers. I take the course myself, and I have for almost 5 years now. You meet great classmates, and Mr Nathan helps each student individually, while also helping everyone together on a grand scale. One on One training and open mats always help everyone for their own successes and abilities.

This is the place to be for sure. The instructors are very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If you like to work out with other people, then this is the place to get in and stay in shape. No gym or dojo in the area will teach you self-defense or give you the strength training and calisthenics like here. Great people! Great atmosphere! Awesome workouts! I am completely impressed with how my son is developing from learning Martial Arts and discipline here. I have a very hyper little boy, and medication was NOT an option. He was getting low grades in conduct for behavior because he couldnt be still or quiet. Since he has started, he has improved tremendously. The instructor, Mr. Nathan Parfait, is amazing with the students. Mr. Nathan will actually take time out of his day to check in on how my son is doing at school and home. Not only is the class about Martial Arts, but self control, discipline, and reasoning. A word of the month is incorporated with the training, so at 4 years old my son now understands responsibility, respect, and loyalty and how to apply it. I cant say how happy I am with his progress, not to mention, he loves going and has so much fun.

It was great. I learned a lot. I loved that they were there to show us the technique. It was awesome and very useful. I will be returning to learn more. The instructors was great and helped me a lot. They were there to do some one on one.

Within a couple of months attending Martial Arts Studio,my daughter has successfully become an all A honor roll student. She has also received a Terrific Kid award at her school. The award was given to her in recognition of demonstrating a positive attitude,good character and responsible citizenship. I have been taking Krav Maga classes for a few months and enjoying the classes a lot. Mr. Nathan is a great instructor and wants us to leave feeling confident in what we are learning. Hes great with the kids and incredible patient! You are able to watch the kids via tv so they arent distracted by your presence.

This is a really fun and challenging place to take martial arts and Krav Maga. I really like the intensity level (Catered to your experience) and the focus on practical application. Taking Krav has been a HUGE help for my fitness and physical confidence and the instructor (Nathan) has worked well with my previous injuries to keep me healthy and in good fighting shape. Definitely nice knowing you can defend yourself and your family against a number of situations and handle yourself well under stress (All learned behaviors!)HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been a student of Mr Nathans since relocating to South Louisiana back in the spring of 2014. I have been deeply impressed with his depth of knowledge and easy ability communicate the methods and techniques of the arts he teaches.I take both the Krav Maga and Martial Arts classes. While similar in many respects there are some telling differences based on the origins and applications of the arts:The Krav Maga class is less formal and more technique oriented as befits a style that was developed for self defense and close combat. I love this art it is very similar to the Koryu styles and is geared toward maximum effectiveness and minimum effort. Most class time is taken up with learning and practicing self defense techniques.The Martial Arts class is a bit more formal (not too much this is Houma not Korea or Japan :) ) and somewhat more structured than the Krav Maga class. There is more time and effort spent here on things like specific kinds of punches, kicks, etc. That being said there are lots of practical exercises, sparring, and other good stuff to keep you busy. As a more traditional style class there is the usual belt ranking structure and they are most definitely not being given away. The discipline and skill needed are very real but the person who has the ability, will, and desire to achieve a rank here I think can hold their head up anywhere.For myself being a middle aged fat dude when I started I am now a somewhat older but a little less fat dude now now. I feel better, am definitely fitter, and very happy with my experience and look forward to continuing in the new year.
