I can honestly say that this school was awesome when I attended it. I came here to the US in 2006 as an undocumented immigrant and now am attending an elite boarding school in Boston so this was the perfect standoff point for me. The teachers there helped set up the perfect foundation to achieve success for me. Thank you so much Benavides staff!

This is the best school my kids have attend. Honestly great staff, great education level, great school overall. Sadly we had to move, but I highly recommend this school.

This school is not a great school. My child doesnt get homework. The teacher is never there the office doesnt know when shell be back. When I call the office I have to call more then three times because they dont understand English. There are a few nice teachers but a lot of the staff are just rude and arent knowledged about the events going on.

Wonderful place for your kid. They really care about children with love, working to do the best for them.

My children went to this school 1 year but it was a horid experience, especially for my 1st grader. Mrs Corell, I heard to very upseting things about this monster. About her kicking students, and keep in mind this is a very obese woman with very large and heavy limbs. My 3 grader along was other students were hit by a teacher. She was fired when I brought it to thier attention, because they themselves werent doing their jobs protecting our children. Shame on this school it need to be investigated and shut down.

I give them 2 stars because they do try to offer a lot of programs for the kids. And the 3rd grade team Ms Emerson Ms Faulkner and Ms Jobes are phenomenonal . It is clear they really care about these kids . MS monsuer the counselor is also wonderful and has helped my son alot. HOWEVER MS Lorena Duenas leaves something to be desired as do the office staff. I have been trying since Nov to get help and support for my Kindergarten son . Nothing has been done. I cant address an issue with out ms Duenas becoming irate and irrational . I have had to go to the district level at this point . She has made it clear that she cares about and supports her staff before the children when a parent tries to defend their child or advocate for them she blows them off or threatens to have them removed from the school. There is no open door policy at thisschool and good luck trying to get a meeting , iep or any help with anything Even when they do make a plan its not followed thru with . When a parent becomes angry because a kindergarten teacher tells their child their family does not love them , the principals response is I think you should take your kids home now and spend time with them. and good luck reading the info that is sent home if you dont speak fluent Spanish Spanish is the first language at the school TheY present in Spanish at assembly and then Translate to English The receptionist is rude and cold . Some of the staff speak limited English and they speak Spanish behind the parents back . I like this school and most of the staff but the administration (with the except ion of Ms Orozco) needs a MAJOR overhaul

Teachers never give homework to the students and my child does not learn like that and when i call they said that,thats not the office problemi just like it because there are not booling thats the best thing in that school.

And all those who speak ill of the school and the teachers send them to another until a lot the teachers do to help us with our children ai they do not say anything all the time that they are with the children teaching them we do our things at home value the teachers that they do a lot ... excellent teachers of benavidez

3grade and 4 grade were the best years with mr. Florez y ms.Gonzalez y ms. Mervis in 4 grade was with mr. Latorre and mr. Medina

Very bad school ... disorganized, my sons teacher was never in the classroom, he always walked according to meetings or training, in total, the children stayed in the classroom with some of the ones who work in front, just watching TV or with the table bone that the children instead of receiving classes have to go, the other thing that I do not like that they reward the children with cookies so that they do their homework instead of offering them a sticker or making them understand that they should do their homework ... the truth very bad experience my son created very bad habits ... the other that sometimes my son had blows and nobody knew how he had given it ... he always questioned them if the children were alone in the classroom, because they always came out saying no They knew ... and when I asked his son, he would tell me that another child had beaten him ... they really should put more interest in the children in the care ... in their academic learning etc. ... but it seems that they are not interested in that, yes, not winning your check !!!
