I have a kindergartener at Field and it has been a good fit for us. The principal is always around and open to discuss any concerns. My child loves her teacher. My child progressed tremendously in the first 9 weeks. In regards to a previous post, all schools and teachers have to be certified and have to serve your child if he/she is Vanguard.They have great enrichment activities. This year the students went to Old MacDonalds Farm for a field trip and my child loved it! The music teacher is really amazing. They also offer Writers in the Schools, the after school Art program and Recipes for Success, which uses the outdoor garden beds for nutrition education.Some of the issues that the school has are systemic and district-wide (no librarians, for example) and there definitely should be more help given for update and upkeep of our public schools and for after school pick-up traffic jams. The PTO and the community organization Friends of Field are trying to remedy some of these issues.

Weve enjoyed our experience at Field so far. The teachers are very invested in their students success and the PTO is working hard to improve the building and add new enrichment programs. We believe in buying in to our neighborhood school and are pleased with the education my son has received.

A terrible way to educate. It may be the Texas system but this is no way to teach. The head master has no back bone and cannot direct a pathway that makes for engaging schooling. Do not accept this awful way to educate.

Field Elementary is a great school. They have a top notch music teacher, Carolyn Davis who recognized state wide.

I would NEVER recenmend this school for anybody! The school P.E. teacher Mrs.Seymore NEVER does anything she either puts the kids to watch a moive or just let them go outside play. What ever happen to being physical ? They dont have a certified librian or art teacher. I say that because, they but a office clerk as the librian and a volunter as the art teacher. The computer teacher Mrs.Sonnen doest teach the kids anything all she says Go on ISTATION, Brainpop, or Starfall. The school puts anyone to subituies a class. My husband went to pick up early one of my kids and they didt even ID him he asked Dont you need my ID? the office worker said No we already know your wife. the school has roaches head lice problems and once had a oppsuems. The schools nurse checks for head lice twice a year and just sends the kids home for a week then they come back still with head lice. Also the schools nurse doesnt care if your child is sick or not if you dont have a fever go back to class. They also dont have a vanguard program they might send you a letter but nothing takes action. The school teachers are good but this year all the first grade teachers left because of the priclapl also they dont do field trips or have a field day. A fith grade teacher had to do a field day because the P.E teacher didnt want to do one and if she wanted to do one it had to come out of her pocket.

It is very bad school, the principal does not report the complaints of the parents, the teachers treat the children badly, I can not even say one because they are master bars that abuse the children, they intimidate them, they prevent them from telling their parents about how They try, of kindness parents ablen with their children it is not fair that the teachers abuse our defenseless children.
