Although I have had my bad experiences with students this school is not what it is made out to be. When I first started attending this school my freshman year it was horrible! We went through 3 different principals in a year. I had a big problem with bullying and the staff was uncoordinated. But let me tell you, my senior year was amazing! I met both wonderful teachers and students who made me view the school in a different light. I can say it’s about 20-30 students in the school who makes it look bad but it really is just like every other school except the staff and administrators care! Your not just a number

Ive been here two years now and they have great choir and art programs, they do need some work with the teachers and the staff but they have always helped me when I needed it, dont trash the whole school for a few immature idiots who are overloaded with testosterone.The principal tries to be around but has meeting off campus a lot and when she is here she does the announcements herself and tells us where we can find her during lunch. They need to tell kids when they change our schedules... They changed my 3 times with out telling me once. I had to get my teachers to pull it up so I could see where I was supposed to be.

Worst school ever. If you want a quality education for your children run far away! There needs to be a implementation where there is a better system to get through to the phone. Calling several times and getting no answer is annoying!

Whitney, it is not common for schools to have riots. I would bet a months salary that less than 5% of the schools in this country have ever had a riot in their history. I am sorry that the educational system has failed you and left you with such a skewed vision of what shouldve expected at school.

Its not honestly a bad school. I mean theres ignorant and immature kids who have absolutely no common sense who ruin the school, but other than that its decent. I think after the class of 2012 graduated, it started to clean up a lot!

I really dont like that school. To many disrespectful kids. To many fights. Teachers barely teach. No one gives a Crap about their grades. That school is crazy and cruel.

Out of every school I went to Dekaney has been the one!Aside from all the bad reviews.. Dont be bias this school is heaven on earth in all reality.. All the students Ive met all the peope whove helped me and been with me after I had dropped out from the so called greatest school in texas deer park let me tell youTheir staff is amazing, great socializing teachers, amazing lunch, great choaching, and the arts program is one of the best I have ever taken a part in ..Aside from the fights and all the events that have happened these past few years. If you really look for education and a great laid back district this is where you want to be.One of the best schools I have ever attended!Dekaney Wildact For Life 💯

My friends sister was trying to leave the entrance line because they made her go outside since she didnt have an I.d she tried to go outside and this girl wouldnt let her and push the door back to her and broke her tooth the school did not want to compromise and said it was an accident its common sense to get out the way if you see someone trying to get out you do not push it back so she cannot . The principle was sticking up for the girl who broke my friends sister tooth and took her to the side to speak once they came back the girl complain that her foot was hurting they dont want to show the video tape claiming they couldnt show them. Dekaney is so unorganized and need another principle again getting these people with little experience isnt going to save this school . They will be suing

If I could put 0 stars for this school I would. I moved from Pasadena ISD to Spring ISD thinking that Spring was better....WRONG. The had the audacity to enroll my 11th grade son in the 9th GRADE... VERY UNORGANIZED. HOW DO ENROLL AN 11TH GRADER IN THE 9TH GRADE!!! I called no answer! It goes straight to voicemail. I was so angry I went up to the school and still NO ANSWER all I get is runaround. Now I am forced to move back to where I was. Do not bring your child here unless you have NO CHOICE! The End. P.S the school even messed up the schedules of the kids that went to that school last year!

Dont even think about taking your kid here if you wanted them to get grabbed by the ass. Currently all the girls in the school are having a problem with the tight hallways so perverted guys can just grab them and get away with it and the girls have to suffer through all this. Ive reported this many times yet it doesnt get resolved because teachers, the district does not even care about your childs well being. Take your child any place but here

Its unprofessional...The principal is never there,and have the staff seem to not know what they are doing...When I came to the orientation, it seem like they had structure,discipline, dress code restrictions and ect.That was all just talk.They do not live up to any thing they said on the orientation. The principal, assistant principal, they always like to talk about a situation, so they set up meetings and they are never there for the meetings.Its always an emergency. They never reschedule. They are quick to call you about the things that your child done.Then they got teachers that I dont think even suppose to be teachers.They allowed these students to do things,but the kids end up getting in trouble,because of what the teachers allowed them to do. To be honest I think the school is the way it is,because of the principal.This my first year here as a parent and Ive already had two meetings, and the other party of the school didnt attend,didnt bother to reschedule.Ive called the school about 7 different times to speak to the principal she is never there. I replaid a message to one of the workers in the office about my child condition, and she told me it would get to her principal and teachers.It didnt get to neither one of them and the result is my daughter get suspended. After Dec.my daughter will not be there...

Man this school should only be open for these dumb students that dont want to do any work. But if you care about your education this is not the place for you theyre always changing principals and teachers every year like is going to help make this school better it is horrible school the people that work there are very unprofessional. They always stay on the news for some scandal, theyre always messing students schedules and grades this school seriously gives you more problems than help

Stold my stuff from teachers desk threatened to sue me because they stold my phone failed because teachers are not there and some are racists worse school ever it needs to get shut down its stupid teachers stold a back pack because they never gave it back they tried to bring up something that happened 3 years ago to suspend me . This school is ran by idiots and very very stupid people . People drink on the student parking lot and smoke weed dont send your children here this school needs to get shut down

This school is the worst they arent organised I am currently trying to Enroll in a better school and I cant do it until they give my new school my info and Ive called dekaney more than 5 times and no answer despite they are racist.

Dekaney high is a beautiful school but dont lelt the look fool you once you get inside you have all these rude & disrespectful teachers who demand respect an will curse you out an put they hands on you an youll get in trouble not them it is a very unorganized school with new teachers an staff every year

This school is trash. The principals and staff are not capable of teaching or handling children. Everyone there is unprofessional I have called this school so many times, only to get excuses and never a call back.Example: My son, his cousin and his friends was in the office for having an argument with three other students. I was called by an assistant principal that said that they would be suspended for three days for that. While in the office, the other three boys jumped on my cousin and my son and his friend went to help. Per the principal the other boys was locked in another office. How can they get out to jump on someone if they were locked in another office? He could not explain that. He could not explain anything to me. The principal never called me about the fight, didnt send home paperwork or anything. Now, this morning they told me my son has to go to alternative school for fighting.I asked the principal why he didnt call me back after the fight. He said that he was doing paperwork. That is not a reason to not call a parent back when something like that happens. I am taking my child out of this trash school with these trash principals and I have filed a complaint with Spring ISD. They need to clean this school up. The other high schools in Spring dont have this problem.

Someone please explain this to me once my mom let the school know they just brushed it off like it was nothing ARE YOU SERIOUS ? Then you have teachers trying to fight students cussing them out SHUT IT DOWN.

Absolutely horrible communication. You get a call saying your childs release is delayed. But NO details. So for an hour you dont know if your child should be home 10 minutes late, or 10 hours late.
