Our daughter has attended MLC for 3 years and we could not be happier. MLC provides a great foundation for learning but also focuses on developing good character. Our daughter leaves there happy every day, and wants to sing us a new song she learned or proudly display an art project. I appreciate the structure and patient discipline I have witnessed there. This program is everything a preschool should be, and a beautiful example of Montessori education.

Oh my goodness! I have nothing but great things to say about this school. By the second week all the staff knew my little girls name. Ive had her here for almost a year and I am so impressed with how much she knows. She is only four and can count to one hundred, knows who Martin Luther King is and Rosa Parks, know all of her months, and so much more. We were watching a movie and she said mama that sign says DANGER they recognize important signs. Besides everything they teach my kid, I love the safety. They are very strict and you have to have your name on a list in order to pick them up. They even ask her maternal grandmother for her ID every time she picks her up. I am so satisfied with this school. I wish she could stay here longer.

Taking my daughter to Montessori Learning Cottage was the best decision I made when I moved to Houston. My daughter is 4 now and has been at the school for two years. She is intelligent, kind, disciplined, respectful and independent. She is reading and doing basic mathematics. The directors and teachers at the school have also helped me along the way with my parenting concerns, potty training and teaching my daughter to dress herself. The school is very diverse with students of ethnic backgrounds around the globe which has a beneficial impact on my daughter’s understanding of cultural differences. I’m looking forward to seeing how much more she is enriched over the remains spring semester and this upcoming new school year.

My 2 year old has been attending this school since she was 18 months and the progress is amazing. She is already saying her ABC’s, she can count to 10, and she also is saying please and thank you. I’m very happy with the decision I made with putting her in the school. At first I was a little skeptical because I can’t watch her much during class but she is running to the door as soon as we pull up now. She loves it here and I trust the director and staff with their learning techniques. I would definitely recommend this school to any parent!

Our Daughter has gone to this school for one year. Weve been so impressed by the level of care she recieves. There is REAL learning going on here, so be ready for your little one to take their asignments home and show you their work.During Covid, one thing that made us comfortable was the strict cleaning procedures BEFORE it was so important. it always smells a little like lysol and i alwaus see them cleaning around when im dropping off or picking up.At the begeining of the day & end of the day, you can see the team working to ensure these areas are clean for the children. These teachers actualy care for each child and our daughter feels very comfprtable here.Thank you for the kindness and care youve shown our daughter.

I have know this school for the past seven years. The director and staff are always available to answer questions and help with any concerns parents may have. The building is always clean and the teachers attentive each childs needs. I have an infant attending at the moment and he is always happy to be there. He is always clean and in a great mood when I take him home. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My 4 years old daughter has been in this school for over one year and it seems she was always feeling excited to attend school everyday. She has developed quite well in many aspects and learnt a lot during this year, including starting read books.The school is neat, well-organized and safe. My daughter remain healthy during the stay. Her class teacher Ms. Daisy is especially caring and my daughter loves her so much. The director and other teachers there are also helping and supportive.

This school has been wonderful to our family. Our daughter attended and now our youngest son is attending. The teachers are wonderful and he really enjoys attending the school. The school is well maintained and cleaned. The lessons are great and we could not be happier.

My 5.5 yr old has been attending this school for one school year, and it has been a very good experience. The school is pretty well managed, organized and very clean. The kids are always supervised by the teachers, and kept busy and engaged during the whole day.The Director and the staff are caring, good with children and responsive to parents’ questions and even smallest concerns.My daughter has been happy and healthy during this year, and enjoys going to school. She has become excited about books and learning new things. I feel that this school creates a safe environment for kids, and gives a good foundation for future education.

First of all, this is a decent daycare for kids. Staffs there are good people. For a few months my kid was doing great. Until then they seem to lack and neglect the attention to monitor your kids. They let kids fight. My daughter came home with a painful scratch on your face twice within a week! Yes, twice within a week. My daughter is only 13 months old. Apparently she was being bullied by bigger kids. Be careful, when you leave your children there. Not worth the money.

Neat clean and well organized. Its spacious so the kids have enough room to play and learn. My child has been here for 2 years and is doing very well. They even have swimming and dance classes at the school so I dont have to arrange separate classes or drive around.

My children have excelled at Montessori. My daughter graduates 1st grade this year and is at least at a third grade reading and mathematics level. And I have to give Montessori all the credit since theres minimal time at home for bedtime reading. My son has significantly matured and is now at his appropriate kindergarten level. For a failure to thrive baby who has been slow to catch up to his peers, he has made huge strides this year and finally caught up in reading and speech. And I must mention the schoolyard itself. When we were scouting potential schools, Montessori had by far the largest yard and one that did not overlook a street or construction. Not to mention the three times weekly swimming periods at the pool during the summer months. My kids live for those days. Lastly, I must credit Ms. Shireen and the rest of the teachers for making this an unforgettable experience for both me and my children. They always have positive attitudes and a smile when we drop the kids off and pick them up. I would strongly recommend this school for others. Theres also a wide diversity of children from all over the world which we did not find at other schools.

My boys LOVE Montessori Learning Cottage and so do I! My three and four year old are excited for school every morning, anxious to return after the weekend, & even ask when vacation ends. Over three years, in amazement, we have witnessed MLC nurture abstract & deductive reasoning, critical thinking, foreign language--Spanish & their speech. Of course, the basics: ABCs, 123s, colors, shapes, manners & discipline are valued here as well. The boys come home clean, happy, & healthy every day; swim all summer; & play well alone or in groups. As a family of educators & professionals, we feel blessed to have discovered such a loving, creative & effectively edifying environment in which our boys can flourish.

My son attended MLC and through out his stay I had no regrets. The only reason why we enrolled him elsewhere is because we moved further away from the area. He started at 15 months and picked up quite fast recognizing objects, letters, and counting through 10.I had the opportunity to watch him during one of his learning sessions and I must say that the teachers are doing a great job.Based on my experience I would recommend this school.

We have been with The Montessori Learning Cottage for over a decade now . Our older daughter started there when she was 3 months old and left when she was almost 6. Our little one started when she was 3 months old too( and overlapped with her big sister for a couple of months). The education and skill sets that both our girls have obtained from this institute have played such a great part in molding them into who they are today. The staff has always treated our kids with nothing but love and affection.I would highly recommend this school!

My son attended this school from 3 to 18 months until we moved. It was a wonderful experience and wish my child could still attend today. This school was highly recommended to us and I recommend as well.

I AM THRILLED to have my granddaughter attending Montessori Learning Cottage! This school is true to the Montessori method of education as evidenced by the effective and highly trained leaders, teachers, and staff who are able to assess and guide children to appropriate activities nurturing independence, decision-making, and creativity in the childs learning process. Having experienced several Montessori schools, been a student, employee, parent and now grandparent of Montessori education, I accurately state that Montessori learning Cottage (MLC) is on target and is responsible for my granddaughters instantaneous growth and progress upon her transfering to MLC.

We currently have two children enrolled at MLC and we couldnt be happier with this school! We have been there almost two years, and during that time I have been so thankful to the teachers and the director for taking such great care of the kids and giving me the comfort that they were in safe, capable hands. My children are young (2.5 and 8 mo), so I was mostly looking for a daycare that was safe and nurturing. We lucked out that they also have a strong focus on learning! The director is very involved and seems to know what is going on with every child. The staff has been super flexible, helping us figure out a feeding schedule for the baby. I could go on, but Ill just say thank you for all you do, MLC!

My son attended MLC from 6 weeks old to 2.5 years. He was very well cared for and learned so much! The staff and building are kept so clean and organized. He never caught any illnesses from school. He was also happy to be dropped off and was always in a good mood when I picked him up. I am grateful to the owners and teachers for all that they do!

MLC is an amazing stepping stone for every growing child. Its amazing how my daughter is excited for school everyday. She has improved alot with her speech, interaction with others, thinking, identifying her letters and numbers and potty training. They also have great daily projects they get to do. I love the fact that they put on uniforms. It makes my morning less stressful. There is alot of ethnic diversity in the school too. MLC can improve a Lil bit with updating parents on the kids daily activities in forms of pictures, etc. I made the best decision to enroll my daughter here.

Montessori Learning Cottage is a hidden gem!! Both of my children have attended since they were 12 weeks old and we are so glad we found this wonderful school. I also went to day care throughout my childhood so I knew exactly what I was looking for in weekday care for our kids. Referring to MLC as a daycare does not begin to do it justice - it is every bit a school. The skills our three year old has learned at MLC and by this age are mind blowing. He has known all his letters, numbers, shapes, colors, and many words in Spanish for years, and is now writing, spelling, sounding out words, and adding. Thanks to MLC, he was on his way to potty trained before age two. The onsite swimming pool has allowed him to become fully comfortable with the water as a young child. In addition, the environment is orderly but fun and loving with no staff turn over. Our older son has learned the proper way to treat others and how to conduct himself. The children at MLC care for all of their classmates and interact regularly with different age groups. It is common for older kids to call our infant by name and greet him with a hug. Montessori Learning Cottage is the perfect place for our kids and we could send our older child to kindergarten tomorrow with full confidence that he would excel.

I have had all 3 of my children at Montessori Learning Cottage over the last 8 years and I could not be happier with the care and education each has received. Each child began in the infant room. The owners and teachers have been nurturing to my children and available for any questions or concerns that might have arisen. I have been thrilled with the care and education they have received and since it is a montessori, each child progresses at his/her own level. Depending on the childs age, he/she enjoys music time, stories, puzzles, spanish, math, reading and writing as well as many other classes. I really enjoy that the kids get several chances to play outside and the school has actively worked to help me potty train my children. Not only are they learning academically, they are learning how to be independent and self-sufficient which is a joy to see.

My children have been attending MLC for about a year. We are having to move out of town for work, and I am absolutely devastated about leaving. I wish we could pick up the school and move it with us. I dont even know where to begin.The entire staff is so kind, loving, and very involved with all the kids. When we ask my daughter who her best friend is, she says, Miss Gaby & Miss Jessica. They are very strict, but in the most loving way. My daughter is very high energy and needs clear rules in order to thrive. She loves it here because she knows what is expected of her and can feel safe and comfortable because of the strict rules.My kids look forward to school every day, and I know they are learning. Our daughter tells us about her work all the time. It is so wonderful knowing that they arent just playing all day long, but they are truly learning.In the summer, the kids get to swim at school 3 days a week, and throughout the year they have gymnastics & ballet. They also teach Spanish from about 2 years old.A small added bonus is the uniforms!! Getting ready every morning is so easy. I dont have to worry about having school clothes and other clothes, because their clothes are already picked out! :)Last but certainly not least, the safety. I have never felt more comfortable with the safety at a school before. There is absolutely no way to get to the area where the kids are, because there is a locked glass door once you walk into the foyer. The teachers are extremely strict on guests picking up your kids - one time my mom came to pick up my kids. I called Mrs. Shireen just to confirm that they would allow her to pick up and that they would check her drivers license because we were already out of town. Mrs. Shireen let me know that she would take my kids home to her own house to make sure they were safe if we were out of town and someone came to pick them up that wasnt yet on the list.We have been so impressed with this school, and I am not exagerating when I say I am devastated to be leaving. If you want a safe, fun environment where learning is of the utmost importance, it doesnt get any better than MLC. Mrs. Shireen, Miss Cindy, Miss Gaby, Miss Jessica, Miss Maria, Miss Leslie, and Miss Daisy are all absolutely amazing!!

Great school; execellent education. I have had my son at this school for more than three years (since six weeks) and he is thriving. The facility is very clean, organized, and they take excellent care of all the children. My son recently started testing for schools as he is getting to the point where he will outgrow this school, and he has done well in all of the tests including the WPPSI and group tests. He was accepted to every school where we applied. Ive read a some of the negative reviews (most of which are very old) and those were written by people who never actually attended the school and formed an impression based on very limited interaction - much of what is false according to what I know to be the case. I have firsthand knowledge of the teachers, administration, and results with my child and would recommend this school to anyone. I drop him off with complete comfort knowing that hes in a nurturing environment.

My Son started attending MLC at 18 months. My son is now 6yrs old and will begin 2nd grade in another school thus putting him a grade ahead of his peers. He loves the school, we love the school. I can say that they teach the children excellently well because my son is proof. He loves school work and loves his teachers.Every school my son applied to accepted him because of what was instilled in him at MLC and reinforced at home.They truly teach children at their own pace, if the child is a fast learner, they challenge them and if they are slow learners, they work with their pace until they catch-up.For the price and services MLC provides, it’s a bargain!! They also teach Spanish.We get progress reports… heck even my 22 month old too got one.I could go on and on but the bottom line is that this is a great school and we have no regrets or never had any issues with my son for the whole 4+yrs he has been there.

I was given a tour that lasted at most 10 minutes, and I had to ask to be shown other parts of the facility besides the one room that my child would be in. I was asking all the questions and little information was offered; it seemed as though the owner couldnt get rid of me fast enough. That is not the way I want anyone in my family to be treated, much less a child. I will not be sending my child here.
