This college-preparatory school is not how it describes itself on their website. First, some classes and sports described currently on their site are not offered here or have been discontinued for a long period of time. I know many parents/potential students who were disappointed to find this out only after arriving/touring the school. Second, this school employs several teachers who got their jobs through knowing the principal/owner, not based off of their qualifications; you will find many do not hold the degrees corresponding to the subjects that they teach their students. Leaving many students to rely on cramming enough information to get a passing grade without ever actually being taught the classes. While not every student is like that, as there are always exceptions, it has been my own personal experience/observations that I make these statements. There was also an great burden to try and understand all that I had to accomplish before applying to colleges, while also dealing with the pressures put on senior students through fundraising activities for an end-of-the-year trip that none of the students/parents had a say in. Parents, it is my advice that you ask ahead of your childs senior year and ask for the details of this trip. The campus also often became a toxic environment where if one didn’t agree with the majority, they were instead told to believe that having different opinions were a sin. This school continues to pride itself on having and raising good Christian students, when the reality couldnt be further from the truth. It was not until I had graduated that I realized how inadequate my education had been and how gaslit I was into believing I was a terrible Christian.

This school is not accredited which means its credits do not transfer to other high schools.if for some reason you have to leave while your child is in high school they could have to take many tests and even retake classes so that they can graduate.University consider this school as home school education.

All three of my of Kids have attended SWCA, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. SWCA prepared my daughter for a vocation in medicine and my son for a career in business management after collage. SWCA provides all the tools you need, the strong leadership is amazing.

This schools acts as if it’s the 1970’s, as well as the teachers. They enforce ridiculous rules and scold students if they try to look trendy. Any clothes that are not loose fitted is considered a detention. It is 2018 and they get upset if their students wear “skinny jeans” or jeans that are anywhere near tight.Teachers seem Christian during school and in front of students, but students know all the teachers gossip and most are different outside of school. Teachers despise “troubled students”. Principle kicks out or tries to scare students who are “troubled” and give a bad reputation for the school. Too bad the only reputation this school has is all from mutual friends from churches and never actual local Alief residents. I heard from other parents that the principle picks and chooses whose allowed to enter the school as well. How is this a Christian school if the principle and teachers never want to deal with kids who are troubled and instead want to deal with kids who already attend church or have parents who are really religious. This school isn’t even helping their students because the students end up going to college and just does whatever they want that they couldn’t do in school. So the school is just hurting the students who claim to be a “hardcore Christian”. This school should allow students who do not KNOW God and help them rather than not allowing them to attend. Sad.Also, the school is meant to prepare you for college but it really doesn’t. As graduation creeps around the corner students end up figuring out that they have to take their SAT’s, apply to colleges, and figure out what major they want to do. This school doesn’t prepare your children for those and your kids have to figure this all out themselves. How would students know what to look for, if the topic of “Life after Highschool” never shows up in a classroom?
