I really love this school it’s very helpful hands my instructor was Mrs.bush the best teacher ever she will push you to be ready to become a MAT she loving and caring and the best person I ever met.The highschool program ECPP the lady Mrs.bevel is not very helpful she worry’s about her job to much she doesn’t help student she doesn’t provide tutoring at all she just let her student not make it when you ask for help she says it’s in the work some students doesn’t learn like that people are different do your job that’s all I want

If you are able to go to junior college or university do that cause the hassle you have to endure at technical college isnt worth the debt you obtain to get education constant threatening of being drop due to attendance even with a average or not being able to use credentials due to inability to pay on time for out of pocket cost. Please do all research before commiting yourself to this kind of frustrating environment cause overall it isnt worth it especially when you dont have all this at major university or junior college sometimes faster isnt always better

As a student I suggest you go to a regular community college get an associates. Then transfer to a University. When I went there seemed like it’d be a great opportunity seeing I’ve been working to get back into school. But the office folks seemed reluctant to actually work with me. The process was not being done in chunks. It did not seem logically scheduled so all and all I give the program 2 stars seems like it can be helpful for maybe some people who wants to just rush back into school but seemed like they wanted me to use my student tuition for the school more than actually help me. Don’t waste your time. Go to a student advisor in lone star or HCC and then work with them from there. They should be able to help you. Or just work to get into a better vocational school. They’re only that optimistic because they want your money. ✍🏾🤓📖👋🏾

When I first visited FCC I was not sure what to expect. I was just laid off from work and my only mission was to get back into school. I wanted to try my luck again with the IT field. It was at the point ,when I did a walk thru the school and a chance to meet Mr.Curry. The first question I ask him , do you teach hands-on in class. I was entering the work market at an older age and time was very important to me. Its by blessing I found a teacher with the knowledge and skills to learn from in this fast growing field . He has not let me down yet. Thank you for rekindling my future.

Attended 2 days didn’t get books, or nothing they wanted me to pay monthly $180 while in school. Why should I pay if supposedly I’m getting student aid I called that I wanted to be withdrawn. Now today I found out that they received 4700 disbursement. So now I’m in debt and I only attended 2 day because I realized this school is a freaking joke. The students here are just blind and dumb they are basically being used. Total waste!

Hands down this school is a scam! As a veteran in the IT department Ive been charged multiple times for the same class. In the last year they have changed hands as far as President, director of education and other staff members and it still has no resolved any issues. They are money hungry as hell and dont provide quality education! Classes are 4 weeks long but we dont get our books and supplies until the beginning of week 3! The staff are constantly making sexual advances towards students and other staff. Honestly I dont know how they are still open!!! They are absolutely horrible! P.S your credits dont transfer. They dont give out tests or finals for real. They let you graduate even tho they KNOW the professors are not giving you quality services. When stuff happens at school they cover it up and tell students not to say anything on social media.That school is trash!!!!!

The career service department is a laughing stock they claim they are capable of doing something but cant back there s*** up.The HVAC program dont offer one on one student leaning for those that need extra help in certain area of the program.

To: unemployed med assistantYou are right!I use to work for UEI, and worked as a medical assistant for 12 yrs and 5 yrs as a practice manager. I tried to make my studients, and supervisor understand that doctors and clinics only cared on how fast can you get the patient ready for them. as getting the medical history of the patient, getting a EKG done for them to read, a doctor is not concern if u can read it or not because they are the ones giving the patients the results not you!How to understand the doses in a shot of medicine you need to give each patient.If you are fast and if you are good at drawing blood and understanding the Requisition forms that go out to lab and the EMR system is a MUST and at UEI the M.As wouldnt even get computer time. Well many students complained that I was not teaching them things that was actually from the book so they let me go. M.A is a hands on type of job I was trying to teach exactly what a M.A does in a office, blood draws, injections taking information the right way from a patientpatient. But it was tooken for granted by some ppl, and I was let go and went back to managing clinics and teaching the students that come in to my clinic for their hrs and teach them what they need to really know to be out in the field Im sorry you went through what you did. Because all you saying is completely true.

This school is expensive and you barely learn anything. They couldnt care less about you being successful in the field you want to be in but if you are one day late on a school payment the flip. Also, if you happen to move away they expect you to drive 4hrs back to that school just to take your state exam that you can take at any approved NCCT location and they dont want to pay for it although when you sign up for school they tell you that it is covered in your tuition. If I could go back in time I never would have walked through the front door of this school. I would advise anyone that is considering this school to think twice.

I went to that school when it was called UEI COLLEGE I had graduated from that school and I thought I had gotten the job at UTMB CLINIC but the person that was trying to get in contact with the school from UTMB CLINIC that is now called Florida Career College, UTMB CLINIC left messages for about 3 weeks for FLORIDA CAREER COLLEGE to get back in contact with them but FLORIDA CAREER COLLEGEnever got back with UTMB CLINIC at all but it took 3 weeks to try to get in contact with FLORIDA CAREER COLLEGE and now UTMB CLINIC had to move on to the next candidate all because FLORIDA CAREER COLLEGE wouldnt call UTMB CLINIC back to verifie that I finished the MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM but they want money and Credit for something they didnt help you get or push you in that direction but for some people its good and for some people its bad but they say they helping, maybe some people but they didnt help me at all , I even made the DEANS LIST always at school on time but FLORIDA CAREER COLLEGE couldnt help me and if anyone has an issue with what I just wrote on here oh DAMN well who cares

I went to this school for 9 months. When they were Anthem College yes they were the worst money hungry no training. at hat time I was advised by someone that worked there that they was told to pass everyone so the school could be funded from the grants that they had received. They had a gentleman in the class that could not even see to do the work and they passed him. I was also told that all that mattered was the number of students they could get like cattle. Since they have changed over to UEI they have gotten all the equipment for HVAC the last month I attended the class. It was something I could do again I would just cause I did get an EPA and I learned about A/C nothing else to help in the field for getting a job. The teachers I had were the best cause they did what they could with what they had at the time.

The HVAC program and instructors are the best in its class. The on hands lab time along with fieldtrips gives you a great experience of the real thing.

I recently completed externship and I was NOT hired. The manager gave me a good written final evaluation then said because they like me, she and the doctor wanted to have a REAL talk with me. She said that I had a great attitude and that she was impressed with my desire to learn. Doc said that if the office wasnt so busy and they had the time to train me, then they would have offered me a position. The manager said that she has previously worked as an MA and an MA instructor.said that she expected me to have MUCH better knowledge and skills after attending an MA program. She said that my terminology, charting and skills were not up to par and she expected me to have some knowledge of EHR. I AM COMPLETELY DESTROYED. I attended class daily. I did everything that was asked of me by my teacher. I made As in ALL my classes. I was praised by my iteachers for being a model student. I really felt like I was learning. I really felt like I could actually be a Certified Medical Assistant. I can see that the office manager and doctor were right because, on my site, my mentor had to teach me before I did most procedures and nothing was actually done the way I learned it in class. Thinking back, how could I be prepared when I didnt actually get a chance to really practice skills and really learn.The doctor asked me how many injections I gave in class, how many venipunctures, how many vitals, how many histories I took, how often did I practice charting in EHR ( EHR? NEVER!) I have to say that I didnt do too much of any of those skills during the program. I had a crash course of skills practice my last 2 mods, but was in class from 9-1 everyday to receive a FULL course. The doctor asked to explain some processes of the body like metabolism. I was taught that its how we break down food for energy but thats not totally what it is, only a small part. She asked me other questions about what she says I am expected to know. I answered as I was taught and I was always either wrong or only part right. Its a CRUSHING blow to go out feeling like youre ready to take the world by storm then find out youre only a sprinkle. I was given FAKE confidence and now I have NO confidence. My teacher spent the first hour calling my missing classmates and solving other grown folks problems. She spent half of the second hour in a staff meeting. We didnt actually begin class until close to 11:30 on many days. I really liked my teacher and class was fun so at the time, I felt like I was learning. I was wrong about that. When I do the 20 thousand dollar math, I paid for 4 hours a day of class time..minus 40 minutes for scheduled breaks..minus 90 minutes of meetings and distractions..equals..I DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID FOR AND I DO NOT HAVE A JOB AND ALL MY HONOR ROLL AND PERFECT ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES MEAN NOTHING. I have not scheduled my certification exam because I reviewed the study guide and I dont know much of the information it says I need to know. Not one of my classmates who recently graduated have jobs and the couple I know who have taken their test in the last few months DID NOT PASS. This scares me because they were honor roll students too. To FCC I have to say, if you focus on teaching the students who are there and want to learn instead of the ones who dont care, then maybe you will turn out students actually have a chance at being successful in life. I read every word my teacher said read. I did every assignment. I kept up my attendance and grades. I wore my uniform. I carried myself as a professional. I helped my classmates. I really gave this my ALL. Im HURT and DISAPPOINTED with my result. Im NOT going to give up. Im studying for my certification and Im getting a little experience working through an agency. Im going to be a success despite my experience at UEI / FCC. MY LAST QUESTIONS for FCC and my reacher are..HOW DO I GET A REFUND ON ALL THE HOURS OF INSTRUCTION I PAID 20 thousand dollars for but didnt get? How can I turn my PHONEY 4.0 into a paycheck? Im going to be STORM in spite of UEI / FCC!!

Thier HVAC classes are useless, no hands on training, just theory. I dropped out and went to Houston Trade Training. Much cheaper and they give you hands on training and they help you get your EPA. Dont go to UEI for HVAC, unless you want to waste your sixteen grand.
