I have been attending Fortis for a little over a year now. I wish it could have been under better circumstances, covid 19 changed everything. Even so, the instructors tried their best to make the best of a bad situation. I wish I could have fully experienced all of what Fortis had to offer, it just didnt happen. But that was no fault of the faculty at Fortis. It was just bad timing.

Fortis was a life changing decision. I recently graduated in December and I feel they prepared me for what the real world. I had a great a extern site and got good job opportunities. I would recommend Fortis to anyone because they are willing to help you with everything and they prepare you really good.

Great school, and great instructors. I would definitely go back. It was one of the best decisions Ive ever made!! Only thing I would say, they need a new externship coordinator. She is very rude and wants the students to do everything her way or no way at all. She snatched a pen out of my nephews hand after all he did was pick it up, and she also told the students going on externship that if you are in a bi racial relationship, you need to delete the photos from your phone so no one can see it! That is the most disrespectful and disturbing thing Ive heard. Other than that Ive had the best experience and made great relationships with other students and a few staff members. Especially Dr. Rodriguez and Angel the student services coordinator! They definitely make the school a better experience. If your willing to do the work, Fortis is the right place to go!!

I am in the Medical Assistant program and have enjoyed my time at Fortis Institute - North. It was not the area of subject I wanted but it did assist me in learning more things about the health care field. The teachers and advocates through out the school were excellent. I do feel we could have had more lab work to understand some of the subjects but over all it was a good experience. I would recommend the program to others.

Very helpful school! They really care about getting your education. They even call you if you have missed any days. Financial aid advisory is very responsive. The counselors are very understanding. I was in the MBC program. My teacher was very helpful and would take the time out of her day to assist me with any questions. I would recommend this school!

My over all experience at Fortis Institute was great! I am a graduate for Dental Assistant. My teachers were the best. They took the time to share their knowledge from all their degrees which gave us a little more insight on more procedures and better understanding of how and why they are being done. The staff is also always so willing to help with any questions or problems you might have.

Lies lies and more lies , DO NOT Enroll in Fortis all you get at the end is a large Loan dept that you have to pay all back with interest, YOU are better off entering a entry level position in any category this SCAM school has to over. That way you get the on the job experience, get paid, get certified and most of all not pay thousands of dollars back with high interest rate.THEY LIE about the training and that you can get a high paying job after the program ALL Lies . Fortis diploma does not mean anything ,jobs do not care about a fortis diploma.Be Aware you will not get a job after this programs, even with the diploma you will still have to start entry level. I went into this school for the HVAC/R program, and came out knowing a whole new world, I literally walked into this school only knowing the word Freon and have come out with the ability to 9 out of 10 times being about to diagnose a system just by the sound of it! I would highly recommend this course to anybody who likes to tinker or has a mechanical background, heck even if you dont this could turn out to be everything you want and more. Just be ready for some wacky, one of a kind teachers!

I am in the medical assisting program here at Fortis north and so far I have loved everything about it! The staff are all so helpful the teachers really go out of their way to make sure you actually understand what you are learning. There is a lot of hands on training that goes on. I am more than positive that Fortis is a great choice for anyone and I would most definitely come back if given then chance!

They are scams. They charge triple what lone star would charge for the same courses. Plus most the teachers here are unprofessional and rude, they talk about people like they are at home or on the streets, they curse alot and dont really teach a thing. As a school it should be more professional. I only had 1 good teacher here and all the students and other teachers were very rude to him because he had an accent because he isnt from America.. if I could give ZERO STARS I would!!! I hate this school and the ghetto teachers are the reason I quit.

Sterile processing tech. Great school, I think I enjoyed it a lot because of the teachers. They helped a lot in the way you actually learned things, it wasnt like high school were they give you a piece of paper & expect you to do it. The reps were AMAZING, never felt alone & helped you through out every single thing!! I recommend it to ANYONE, ANY AGE!!

My experience at Fortis Institute was amazing. The hands on experience on the computer softwares and class work is so educational. The teachers are as well a lot of help and will work with you one on one. I truly recommend this college to my friends and people because its a small college but I feel you can learn more with it being small because its a lot less movement, , and more attention.

This is by far the worse school to go too if I could give no stars I would there very unprofessional they take all your money and more. I was in the surgical technologist program and we could never keep a teacher 2 teachers quit! They always want you to lie on your surveys to make it seem like it’s a good school but it’s not!!!! When trying talk to finical aid they try to always act there busy to not see me. They are scams! They just want your money how can 2 teachers teach in between one class it’s ridiculous I never learned anything I tried to stick it out but I couldn’t anymore.. but keep in mine if your pregnant they will tell you it’s okay to come and you have to have tb skin test and shots so your gonna have to wait I’m not pregnant but I’m just telling you how they are also if you have a background please make sure you can attend cause they will lie and say you can then can’t! If they say they will work with your work schedule there lying! cause they start complaining when you tell them you have to leave it’s all together a horrible school and you can’t take your credits too another so even worse!!!! Then they ask you to stay for the last week like NOO just say they can get money!

I was a little skeptical at first about enrolling in the Medical Assisting program here at Fortis but Im glad I did! The Instructors are wonderful and provide tons of real world advice. If you are dedicated to learning and are willing to apply yourself this is definitely the place for you!

Its a scam you dont get Certified as a medical assistant you get a diploma which is not the same thing do your research and ask questions before attending this school I wish I would have. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE

If I could give this place no stars I would. These people dont care if you pass or fail. They hire teachers who dont care and just want the extra money. They dont grade work they arent very hands on, dont complain because you will get a worse teacher than before. I graduate in 3 months and I feel like I havent learned anything. I really should have stayed at lone star this was a waste of time and money. All my teachers do is sit in the back of the room and play on computers or phones. I was kn the MA program and it was a great 9 months, everyone is welcoming and the instructors very supportive. Wouldnt have went anywhere else.

HVAC/R was a good experience. It was all new too me but i learned. the knowledge is there and the money is out there The hands on experience for me was easy to learn. The projects put you agents your knowledge and showed what it was that you had learned. The instructors where there for me and some of the more advanced students also helped when learning new things.

I highly recommend anyone whos interested in building a career to attend Fortis Institute. Ive also made arragements to attend another course to further my career. The Dental Assistant program was a success! I learned so much and put it to use until after working for 3 months at my current job, I was promoted to Lead Assistant.
