We recently moved to the area and looking for a social and physical outlet for our sweet girl. She has only been to a few classes, and even though she is timid to try the new skills, we can already tell she is enjoying the gym, making new friends, and growing from from what she is introduced and practicing! As a first time parent, I am so excited to give her own thing to strengthen her body and mind! The team is definitely sweet, friendly and full of awesome information and skills too! Not to mention the singing is too stinkin cute! Sign your child up! You will not regret it!

We’ve been to a few birthday parties here and loved how much fun the kids had. After being in the house for over a year, I had to get the kids into something. They love coming here and we love that the kids are releasing their pent up energy. Lol Super clean and great instructors!

Paisley loves The Little Gym! She is in the Bugs class for 4-10 month old babies. Its the cutest class. Its fun and both socially and developmentally appropriate. Paisley learned to crawl and standing with support since starting May 29th. We are excited about having her 1st birthday party here as well in September. Its literally a hidden gem, no pun intended.

Little Gym is perfect for your little one looking to learn and try gymnastics. The environment and instruction is very age appropriate. After having a vivid personally bad early experience with gynmastics at a extremely serious gym I have a great appreciation for the enviornment and age appriorate skills being taught to set them up to learn and most importantly have fun.

After a few weeks of being out of pre-school for the summer, my almost 4- year old was clearly bored at home terrorizing the nanny and his little brother. He insisted he didnt want to go to summer school or any camps. In a moment of desperation, I signed him up for 5 camps at The Little Gym of Huntersville. I loved how I could cherry pick class days to sprinkle them around other weekly events that were already planned.I was nervous to drop him off on the first day as like most kids he doesnt always do well with unfamiliar surroundings. He handled drop off like a champ even though I told him he might feel sad and that was ok and normal. When we picked him up he was so happy and asked right away if he could come back tomorrow. He had clearly burned so much energy and was exhausted, but in a good way. He could barely walk to the car he had played so hard! All weekend he asked if he could go back so needless to say, we purchased another 10 passes and will likely purchase more. We are so happy we found an affordable solution that works for him and for our familys schedule! I dont know what exactly they are doing to keep these kids entertained for 4 hours, but its working! Im so glad we found this place and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a solution for an energetic kid who insists they want to stay at home. Also, communication has been excellent and the exposure Ive had to the teachers has been impressive as well. They seem like a lively, upbeat, positive bunch!

My daughter and I love this place, but I am beyond livid. My daughter attends the Thursday sessions and today I was greeted with a notice on the door stating the gym is closed. I havent received not one phone call, text message, or an email. I left the gym a message earlier today and sent a text message requesting someone to call me back about the covid outbreak at the gym andstill no word. This is unacceptable. I am considered high risk and I need to know if my daughters class was directly impacted. Its in the best interest for someone contact me immediately.Signed by one angry parent

Had several issues with this place and have been going there for about a year.1. A. Extremely poor communication. I was told back in December of 2020 that the 21st was our last class. I get a text message in January saying we missed our class. I called to let them know that I was told our classes were up in December and was simply told that our membership was good until May of 2021. Would have been nice to have been told that back in December.B.Drove 45 minutes to class today which is scheduled for 11:15am only to find the place is closed. When I called to find out why, I was told that they sent out emails over the weekend. I asked why I wasn’t notified over text message because I don’t check my email on the weekends and every other communication I’ve had with them has been through text message, but not this. I was told it was because of iPhones, which made no sense and she did not clarify what that was supposed to mean. Then I was told she is not allowed to text about covid related closures. However when I asked about the inclement weather notifications and was informed it would be sent through text. My issue with this is that I didn’t care why they were closed, my only care was why I wasn’t notified that there was a closure. There is no legitimate reason why you can’t text alert that the business is closed and you don’t have to mention why. Again, I didn’t ask or care why it was closed, just why I wasn’t notified. All I got from them were truly inadequate excuses as to why they didn’t notify me through texts. If I miss a class or need to make a payment or if there is a closure due to weather conditions, they text. Another issue then would be, if you literally can’t text me to tell me you are closed without giving a reason, then why are parents not being informed as to how they would receive other closure notifications, if they are not to be texted out, like everything else.2. On our first class in January after missing the first one completely due to poor communication, we come into the class and feel that it is extremely cold in the gum area. I walk over to the thermostat and find it is set on 62 degrees in the dead of winter. Needless to say our first gym class of 2021 was extremely uncomfortable and made me want to quit right then and there, but we didn’t. Not yet at least.3. My daughter is very shy and I don’t know why that would make a difference to the fact that she has been ignored in class, at least once, by every single teacher she’s had, except for one. While everyone else’s child is asked if they want to do the skill of the day or week, my child was never asked and her name never mentioned. While that doesn’t bother my daughter at her young age, it nearly broke my heart, for her sake.4. Today we reached our final straw when we were not notified about the closure and then I was given a mirage of excuses, none of which involved anyone owning the fact that they did not ensure that people were properly notified. I also asked if I was the only person who showed up and had to call and to no ones surprise I wasn’t the only one, which should tell them that their attempt to notify people was severely lacking. So I called to get the refund and cancellation policy. I was never given these things but was told they will work on the refund as soon as they reopen, which I do appreciate, but also brings me to my final point, which is, she never asked why we wanted to cancel. I told her today wasn’t the first issue we’ve had and she didn’t even bother to ask what the other issues were. It has become glaringly apparent that they do not care what your experience of their facility is. It’s just absurd that you tell someone you’ve had multiple issues with them and they show absolutely no interest in what the issues are so they can fix them. This tells me they are comfortable in their complacency and that makes me uncomfortable.Maybe it’s just me but I always assume I’ll receive at least the bare minimum from companies and oftentimes find my low expectations were actually too high. This place being another example of that.

We got the boys in because I wanted a safe, child friendly place for them to get their energy out while learning how to use their muscles and build their confidence. And we got what we were looking for and more. The classes are very rich, the boys think they are playing all the time, the instructors are friendly, great with the kids and strict when it comes to safety and discipline, also the facility is clean and well organized.

Today was our first day back after the economy shut down and reopened for Covid19. I was a little nervous to take my daughter back into society just for the simple fact that she hasnt been anywhere over the past 3-4 months. The Little Gym was the first place that I have taken her, and I will say that with all of the precautions and sanitizing/disinfecting they do/did, I feel so comfortable knowing that it is a clean and healthy place for her to get back into the swing of things. I want to say thank you to all of the TLG staff for working so diligently to make it a safe place for our little ones!!!

Kayla and her team are fabulous! Super supportive and understanding. The Little Gym offers a generous make up policy with lots of options for class times. Its a great environment with lots of love for littles and their parents. The parent child classes are informative in a fun way offering a perfect balance of learning and exploration. Clear instructions during class for both parents and children. Instructors spot students so children learn responsible risk taking and build confidence. Weve been attending since August 2018 and couldnt be happier. Our bird is moving up to the beast class this summer and hes ready. At 18 months, he can hang on a bar and walk across the balance beam with a spotter. I never would have realized his potential without the Little Gym. Thank you for a great experience! Well definitely keep coming back!

My son is currently in the wonderkids program, and I am constantly amazed at how much he is learning and enjoying the program. Mrs. Kayla & Ms. Alessandra are absolutely fantastic!! It’s a really great feeling seeing my little ones thrive in such a fun, friendly, learning and growing environment! We love the little gym!!!

My family attended a birthday party here last weekend. The party was wonderful and so was the facility. However, one of the instructors was out of line with my son on a few occasions.First, when my son (3) answered a question before he was called on, the instructor put her hand over his mouth and kept it there for a minute or so. I found this extremely inappropriate. First, my son is 3 years old, they speak out of turn, it’s normal. Second, why would you ever think it’s okay to put your dirty hands over a child’s mouth? You have just been touching tons of other children and gym equipment...Next, when party favors were being given out, my son did not say thank you to the instructor (same girl as before), so I instructed him to go back to her and tell her thank you. As he walked up to her, she immediately snapped at him for trying to get a second party bag. I told her he wasn’t, he was just trying to tell her thank you. She realized her mistake and accepted his thanks. My main issue here is that it seemed as if my son was singled out in a negative way. Though I’m sure this instructor does a great job most of the time, she was extremely out of line with my son, who is, again, only three years old.

I started taking my LO to the Little Gym at 10 months. Then she started walking just a week later. I contribute the skills we learned at the Little Gym to helping my LO walk with more confidence and coordination at such a young age. We took a break for about 9 months, but then I could tell my LO would highly benefit from her time and SHE HAS. Very awesome place!

PARENTS BEWARE!! This is NOT a safe environment. Owner neglected to cover a corner of wall next to the jungle gym and claimed nobody had ever got hurt the past 8 years she was there. When I suggested to put padding around the corner, she claimed that children would probably climb on it or tear it off. So you would rather someones child got hurt from it than protecting your facility and keeping it safe????It all began 15 minutes after I dropped off my daughter on the first day of Spring Break camp, I received a call saying that I needed to pick her up as her head was bleeding profusely. When asked what happened, Kayla said she had ran into a wall. How could you bleed when you run into a wall? When I arrived to pick her up, they had a RAG to cover her head wound instead of gauze pad. She couldve gotten infection from it!!! After asking my daughter to point where she hit her head, it was clear that Kayla was trying to COVER UP the whereabouts of the incident. In short, my daughter busted her head open running into an unprotected corner. Instead of calling 911, they called ME to pick her up.I ended up taking her to the closest URGENT CARE and my daughter had to have 2 staples put on her head. The urgent care nurse said we were lucky my daughter didnt have any CONCUSSION given the depth of her wound. When owner called back to check, her second question was, is your daughter coming back tomorrow? Total lack of concern!!!Since my daughter knew her friends were there the next day, she begged to go back. And guess what? She got hurt again!! This time, she got lacerations on her lower back that looks like burn marks on her lower 3 spines. Needless to say, she didnt go back the third day.It took multiple emails, call and texts for the Little Gym International and owner of this facility to respond. And when she did, all she had to offer was excuses after excuses. As a parent, when I send my daughter to a camp, Id like to think i had picked a safe environment for her to play. Not where they had an unprotected corner next to the jungle gym. Its a GYM. So naturally, you expect a child to run and climb. Its neglectful when a child got hurt both days she was there. Moreover, not only is this facility neglectful, they do NOT know how to handle medical emergencies. To put a RAG on an open wound??? And had ME take her to the urgent care instead of calling 911. If you dont they do NOT want the hassle of dealing and paying for the Ambulance, dont be in the business of caring for children!!!My daughter has been asking to go to swim during Spring break. However, as a result of these incidents, she has been advised not to. How sad???If you were wondering whether they offered to pay for medical expenses. They havent. They claimed their insurance will handle it but I highly doubt it.
