Just completed the Concealed Carry class with Sheriff Carmichael. As a former CMPD officer, I would highly recommend this class. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. The entire staff is very hands on, and willing to help you and give you the confidence needed to carry a concealed weapon. You will not be disappointed. Nobody ever wants to be put in the situation of using a handgun. But after attending this class you will be ready if it arises. Thank You!

Great place to learn Karate!

They were very informative and professional.. I took the 8hr class and the time just flew pass.. I have a better understanding for the CCP and other laws that have been misconstrued throughout the public. I am currently pursuing my carry conceal permit.. Thanks guys..

Art was amazing! A living enciclopedia of weapons and the responsible usage of them. I learned so much in two hours and he gave me confidence to relax and enjoy the learning process... I’m hooked!

My husband and I just took the concealed Carry course here with Mr. Carmichael. It was a wonderful class, we learned a lot, he really took time to answer questions, he made it interesting and he made sure we knew he was there for us with any other questions we may have after the class. I would recommend MATI to anyone looking to take this course.

If youre looking to get your concealed carry permit, this is by far the best class.My wife took hers elsewhere and was allowed to set in for a refresher. She said by far more informative than what she took.

My son, now almost 13, has been a student here for 8.5 years now. The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and wonderful with kids. Kids obtain increased self-esteem, self-confidence, self-control and focus. I highly recommend this school for kids and adults of all ages.

Going into the 8 hour class I could never had imagined it would be so entertaining. Sherrif Carmichael kept the whole class engaged and informed. Art Presley blew my mind on his shooting skills. That guy deserves his own TV show.

Great conceal and carry classes

This place is the best place to learn self defense its a good place to meet new people,i am a purple stripe going to brown telling you to go and have some fun there and learn something new.=)

Master Hartsell is great with both kids and adults alike. I was looking for a place that I could take karate right along side of both my girls. MATI is the perfect place for kids and parents to study and learn Karate together. Master Hartsell challenged both me and my girls. Were coming up on our 3rd degree blackbelt test (all three of us) and well all be testing together. Great training, great leadership and the development of great two great young ladies. MATI has done so much for our familys development, growth and security. I highly recommend the Martial Arts Training Institute for kids and adults of all ages. Youre never too old to start.

Master Hartsell has been a great influence in my child’s life. He has taught her to be respectful, confident, and how to defend herself. He teaches the children to keep a positive attitude and to never say they can’t do something. I took my daughter to MATI for a free trial a few years ago and she loved it and loved Master Hartsell. This is actually this first activity that she has stuck with. I have noticed a huge change in her confidence level. Not only has Master Hartsell taught my daughter so many valuable life skills but he has also taught me some things I never realized about my child. Master Hartsell has so much experience with so many different children that I think sometimes he knows more about my child and what she is thinking than I do. I cannot stress enough how great he is with children! I also like the fact that there is plenty of space for parents to watch class, socialize with other parents, or quietly read a book.
