The school is good...some teachers definitely don’t know how to handle their students. Most teachers are cool though. The Spanish teacher quit because she said that she “couldn’t take the disrespect anymore.”

This school is okay. It’s just Ms.J Fletcher she always assuming things. Like one day I had a practice quiz I put it on my friends desk to go to the bathroom then when I got back I forgot all about it then she gave me and my friend an F. She claims that she was cheating on my quiz but we had different answers and all But Other than that I’m cool with everyone else 🤷🏾‍♀️

This school is terrible there are so many annoying teachers like.............. but i love Mrs. Morton sorry other teachers try again but overall there are too many fights and the old school was so much better Mrs. blues a try hard but on the inside we all know she thinks this school is trash. anyway writing this is making get in my feelings so byeee!! This school is OK. The teachers are mean at times for no reason and there is always a fight going on. But as long as you get the work done and dont get into any trouble you will be fine.

Ive had a panic attack every day this week because of this damn school. There are a few nice teachers, but some are just mean and dont even like their job. And I am quiting IB because I dont want to take Spanish class if we dont even have a permanent teacher.. I miss Mrs. Wasserman. I literally learned 0 Spanish this year, if anything I lost some of my knowledge from the year before. Cant wait to move schools next year (if everything goes to plan) I dont know if the teachers are trained to notice mental disorders in kids or not, but none of my teachers noticed my eating disorder. I went to the school counselor twice and they didnt notice anything. They only thought I was stressed from my Math 1 class. I have several friends who are suffering from depression, and its pretty clear they are, and yet the teachers do nothing! They should definitely take some classes on the subject of mental disorders.This school is trash.

This school is not good. The only thing good about this school is the litt people and one time a teacher got jumped and there are fights like 2 fights a day and the teachers call your parents for no reason and your parents wont believe you when u go home and tell them. This school gave me the worst memories of my life. Some of the staff is rude and call you liars to your parents, dont give you papers and give you terrible grades for them. Parents dont understand. They take the teachers side every single time and pretend they do, SAY the do and ACT like they do, but they dont. Every day I watch countless students suffer at the hands of not only teachers, but other students. Innocent, nice people have attended this hellish school and have been turned into MONSTERS. This by far the worst principal in history!!! very rude and disrespectful to her staff and students. I have two Children who attend this school. Once I was sitting in the office waiting for a parent/teacher conf and she approached my child yelling at him saying he would have iss for sitting in the office. Not to mention I was sitting directly beside him and she didnt even acknowledge me until I told her my son was waiting with me. My interaction with her was very short and she seemed to not be concerned about what I had to say at all. It brought me pleasure to hear that she would not be returning for the 2018/2019 school year. I think these kids need a principal who wants to be there for the kids... not for the position.

All the kids act ratchet and like they have no home training. The subjects arent broad and plus some of the teachers are rude and cant teach for anything.

Dear kids and parents if you are looking to sign your kid up for jma I’m telling you NOW please don’t your kid will dread coming to jma first of all there is a LOT of messed up things there! Now I know what your thinking this is probably just another fake thing from a kid but I MEAN it!! First of all you get a lot of disrespect from the teachers there’s only a 10% chance you’ll get a nice teacher. 2nd of all the dress code is just straight up stupid. 3rd Mr. petizs is the WORST teacher ever if your child gets him I SWEAR I would transfer and I will pray for you! Please dont bring your kids here. The school is new but its worse than the old school. The teachers are really bummy ( half of them wear the same 5 outfits every week ). The kids are extra bad. There are fights every week. People get ISS for a fight even if they didnt start the fight. The A.C. doesnt work half the time. Some of the teachers that just started teaching here but taught at a collage really dont know how to control the classes. The french teacher will kick you out for something small like tossing a piece of paper into the trash while your sitting very close to it. And the IB program isnt really IB. Its just some smart kids in classes some kids that arent really that smart. So just for your kids safety please dont go here

This school has it’s good and it’s bad. But this school is mostly bad. They can’t keep the students under control at all whatsoever no matter how much they change the rules. Having BIG change in the rules has actually made it worse in my opinion. First the kids in the old school were already too much in behavior wise, and they bended the rules. Now that they’re even MORE strict rules and they’re bending those rules, and the old rules as well. They are making out in the hallway even more than last year. It’s just gottin even more crazy. Adding even more rules to this school has made it worse. I have heard rumors about kids loosing they’re virginity at 12 here which makes me really uncomfortable. This whole school in general makes me really uncomfortable and I’m forced to go here since it’s the only school zoned for my area. To be honest with you, if this school weren’t an (IB) school, this school might have not done as well as they’re doing right now. Some of the teachers are nice here, and some of the teachers just don’t how to handle these kids so they either yell, have a nervous break down, or leave the room. Wich is very unprofessional. If some of these teachers can’t handle these students (I don’t really blame them) they need to leave just like a Spanish teacher left recently. Ok ok Jma is lowkey fun but lowkey horrible like people are rude asf there but sometimes they can be fun the school so dirty like the water is like yellow and I hate the cafeteria bc its all dirty but you can make a lot of cool friends there I hate the way some teachers teach like they would give you one work then tell you to take a test the next day like what but other than all that jma has some pretty good teachers like shout out to the best MR MCCLINTOCK like he a teacher thats like your best friend I made a lot of friends there that I will never forget but one thing for sure I dont ever want to go back to that school ik for sure highschool will be better 🙄

I went to JMA 2011 -2014 I was constinenlty bullied for the way I looked , I hated this school so much , I talked to the administrator to help solve my problem they didnt do anything about , the school is very old , the drinking fountain water was brown , and the people at the school were ghetto and rude , the kids behaved like they have no home training in their life . JMA ruined my life it still gives me bad memories to this day. if you are planning to bring your child here think twice...

Located in the middle of nowhere and consisting of hicks and wannabe ghetto street rats, this school is on the bottom of the list for North Carolinian middle schools. Legit, if this school was the last middle school standing I would still not let my kids go there.TL;DR dont go to JMA middle school.
