We love USSD & Sensei Ted! I loved that this business is family owned and ran, my kid loves the group of kids he gets to interact with. He loves learning all the techniques and even sparring. This is a fantastic atmosphere for families as well as individuals wanting to challenge themselves. Sensei Ted is always watching out for the kiddos in the dojo, which I am very appreciative of. He is warm, patient and encouraging, a great teacher.

The kickboxing class is great. The instructor, Ian, really pushes and encourages you. He’s very engaging and really creates a welcoming environment for the class and studio. It’s great to learn a little better technique and get a great workout in. If I lived closer, I’d go every week! If you’re in the area, definitely check it out.

My son and myself have now been with USSD for 2 months and from day 1 we have been so welcomed by Sensei Ted, Sensei Nalu and his family, there lessons with the kids are great and for myself the workout in the adult lessons really pushes me and helps with my balance and my physical strength. Even with everything being closed they are offering online lessons for kids and adults which is very beneficial for us all thank you for all that you do for your students. You are so appreciated and cant wait for the next lesson.

I would HIGHLY recommend USSD. The instructors are amazing and great with the students. The school is owned by Sensai Ted who is also the head instructor. He is down to earth and Awesome with his students and students families, along with his wife they make the school a Family friendly environment for learning. Sensai Nalo, the other instructor, is also an amazing instructor. The Dojo has high level instruction that the kids will understand and can advance their skills at a rapid, yet smooth pace.A little less than a year ago I signed up my 8 year old son. The school has helped with teaching him confidence, respect, discipline and has taught him to keep active. The instructors are hands on and dedicated to teaching the kids in a positive, fun environment while teaching them respect and discipline. The Instructors truly care about the students, and have lots of patients.This is truly a family friendly enviroment. The school plans activities to engage with the students and bond with their families.With the recent pandemic and the lock down orders, the school immediately went to virtual semi-private lessons and was able to keep my son engaged with other students as well as continuous learning. He loves it. The school offered additional private lessons at no extra cost. Its been such a blessing while weve been order to shelter in place! Thank you USSD family!!

Ive been taking classes here for a very long time now and Im enjoying the experience much more than before USSD owned the studio. This is a great place to learn kenpo, and the instructor is easy to get along with.

I have attended several kickboxing classes at USSD taught by instructor Ian Butler and the classes are fun, educational and push you to grow as a martial artist. He speaks to people individually during the class and helps them to fine tune their technique. The classes are great for all age ranges and skill levels. It is a great work out or opportunity to develop new skills. I would highly recomend this Dojo as all of the instructors are exceptional martial artists and human beings.

This is a fantastic karate studio for children of all ages. Sensei Ted and his instructors ensure a safe environment as they intentionally develop each student at a pace best suited for the individual. It is a true family run business, where Sensei Ted and Sensei Tanya, along with their children, teach and participate in classes. They go above and beyond in creating an atmosphere for kids, with activities after classes that allows the students to continue socializing and grow in their relationships. As a parent, I highly recommend USSD HB and Im thankful my daughter (7) and son (5) have found an activity that allows them to grow both physically and mentally.

We LOVE USSD HB and Sensei Ted & Family!! My 6 year old son has been practicing with Sensei Ted for about 10 months and enjoys the challenge and learning Shaolin Kempo martial arts. He especially loves the one-on-one sessions because he gets that direct attention. Sensei Ted & Family are so amazingly down to earth and individualistic, they have really taken the time to get to know Jacob and what learning technique/s work the best for him.
