I am a student at NSD AND IT IS AN AMAZING STUDIO! I consider my teammates sisters. North Shore Dance has done so much for me and it made me the amazing dancer I am today. All the teachers are full of spirit and are encouraging students every day. If your looking for a dance studio, then this is the place for you!

Cares more about favoritism and the trophy placements of their kids then allowing people to actually learn from their dancers. No communication with newly recruited people, and put dancers who’ve been there for a couple more years before someone else’s truth.

She has been attending for a few years and overall enjoys it. Clean, friendly and learning so much.

Marie Kater has made false reviews about this studio with separate accounts. My sister dances there and I have been there many time and its always nice. She always is on FaceTime with her dance friends. I suggest checking the place out if you are looking for a dance studio. Its a shame that she’s so bored to write poor google reviews about a nice dance studio.

My daughter has been dancing with North Shore Dance For 8 years now and I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am to all the amazing, kind and loving teachers for helping me raise such a wonderful young lady. ESPECIALLY Miss Stephanie! If your looking for some ordinary dance studio sorry but this isn’t it. North Shore Dance is not only a dance studio, they are FAMILY!!!! My daughter considers her fellow dancers her sisters for a reason!

There is no better dance studio than North Shore Dance. Each student regardless of age or skill level is treated equally, with utmost respect and never-ending encouragement. Technique is emphasized above all else. The recitals are amazing. Competing is optional. The owner, director and each teacher puts your child first in this family-like environment. If your child has a love for dance, whether for recreation or competition, this is the place for you.

My girls danced with North Shore since the age of 2! All three are now members of their college dance teams, and have become dance teachers and dance team coaches! NSD dancers graduate as highly technically trained, kind, considerate, and confident young ladies! Staff is wonderful and treat all dancers as their own! Couldnt have asked for a better group of women to assist molding my little girls into the women they have become. I am forever grateful for the love and attention they gave each of my girls!

This place is not worth the money. Spent way too much time here with my children and they were overlooked. Now at a new studio so that my kids can re-learn things correctly. The teaching at NSD is lazy at best. They only care about the natural talents and will not give your child any attention if he or she isn’t a natural. The new owner should not be around children. She never smiles and Has an arrogance about her. She has no business savvy at all. I am sure by posting this negative review her soldiers will come out in droves to post positive ones, but the truth is many people have left, they just aren’t writing reviews. The staff use to be friendly and nice but since the old owner left they are just as miserable as the new owner. They are also completely unapproachable. The studios in this area are a dime a dozen.

I am so happy that my daughter is dancing at North Shore Dance. We changed dance studios this past year and we were very nervous about it. From the minute we walked in all the teachers and students welcomed us with open arms. The instructors are so talented and inspiring. The growth I have seen in my daughter over this past year was amazing and I am so thankful. So grateful for my NSD family.

North Shore Dance has been my home for the past 10 years. As an alumni, I still find myself going back to the studio to visit teachers, current dancers and parents. I competed for multiple years and always felt supported by my teammates and by all staff. North Shore Dance holds their dancers to very high standards with regards to behavior, professionalism, and respect. I have never felt out of place due to my dance style choices because the team was very supportive as well as the staff. While my time at North Shore Dance has come to an end, the friendships and bonds I have formed have not and I cannot wait to see everyone grow up into beautiful dancers and young, well behaved, and respectable adults.

Lots of classes and convenient location but this place has gotten so filthy. The waiting room has a few old chairs and broken benches. They have monitors to see in the classes but they rarely work. They charge top dollar so it should at least be clean. My daughters pink tights were black when she came out. And don’t even go in the changing room. More old benches, no hooks and food and garbage everywhere. Also way too many children in a class and teacher couldn’t handle them. Mentioned my complaints to the front desk a few times and got an eye roll. We won’t be back

My children tried this studio out last year and I don’t know much about dance but this place was not what I expected. I can’t speak to technique or that kind of stuff but their teacher was mean and nasty when nobody was looking. She looked miserable most of the time and she played favorite to two girls in the class all year. I’ve heard they are good in competition but not worth it. Trying somewhere new this year.

We have been a part of the NSD family for over 9 years. My girls love to dance because of the teachers here. They have shared their love of dance with their students and give them a supportive and positive environment to learn and grow to be beautiful dancers and strong young ladies.

My daughter has been dancing at NSD for 12 years. Director, Miss Stephanie, is incredibly talented, organized and has the highest integrity and class. North Shore’s dancers stand out at each and every competition and performance we attend for their high level of technique, their professionalism and their classic look. If you are looking for a dance studio that will provide a strong foundation, top notch technique and life long friendships, look no further.

Great local dance studio

This place has gone down hill since the owner went MIA. It has turned into a factory that is more concerned with winning competitions and silly crowns than developing dancers. The new director should not be teaching children and she is fostering an unhealthy environment of favoritism, bullying and bad behavior all in the name of winning. If you’re looking for a dance studio that will treat your child with respect and love no matter what their skill level, this is definitely not the place to be.

My daughter has been dancing at North Shore Dance for 11 years . The teachers are absolutely full of love compassion and encouragement to ALL of the dancers !! There is no favoritism at this studio . Every dancer is a shining rising star ⭐️ I highly recommend North Shore Dance whether the dancer is serious about competition or just wants to dance for recreation . If you are looking to become a part of a close dance team and want that strong connection them North Shore Dance is for you ! The studio has become a part of our family and I know my daughter will cherish the wonderful memories with her team .

The teachers here should not be teaching children. Not every child is here to become the next prima ballerina and most don’t even want to. They are here to learn technique, how to connect to and feel music and express it and to create memories. This studio completely misses the mark. Like others said, the owner (and the people who work there) look miserable and the kids sense it.

Nothing but great things to Say about Northshore Dance. All of my childrens teachers have been nothing short of professional and loving. They truly care about each child! We have become like family! My children have formed great friendships here as well, its wonderful! Northshore Dance Studio also really reminds me of having this same experience at my old dance school as a kid, in the City! Love it!

Cliques and favoritism.This place sucks the joy of dancing right out of your kids. They love the mean girl mentality here.

My daughter is 10 and has been dancing at NSD since she was 2....we absolutely love the entire staff ...the studio is SO loving and nurturing! My daughter looks forward to dance every-single week and she has made lifelong friendships to top it all off! Not sure who this Marie Kater person is but obviously they are completely delusional!!! If you are looking for a top notch dance studio look no further! We ❤️ NSD!!!

Great studio for dancers of all skill levels! Teachers at NSD are super talented, and they promote an inclusive, supportive, and respectful environment. Stephanie, Deanna, Marissa, and all the teachers at NSD have gone above and beyond in supporting, encouraging and accommodating my daughter after a recent health diagnosis. The girls and teachers at NSD have become a 2nd family for us. I couldnt imagine my daughter at any other studio!!

My daughter loves it. I am glad my girlfriend found this place.
