I have been an instructor at HDAS since it opened at the end of 2019. I can truly say I have enjoyed my time teaching and molding future dental assistants! Our students are so eager to learn and come to class ready to learn something new. We strive to give them the most accurate experience of what they will encounter out in the dental field. Since our school was started we have even improved the online learning portion so not only are they getting hands on experience but also have access to videos and online learning tools to help them succeed! Anyone interested in starting a career in the dental field as an assistant should join this program!

I enjoyed this class a lot it was a lot of hands on learning environment. The teachers are great and very helpful and knowledgable. My favorite part of the class was getting to do internship hours at a dentist off for practice. I would recommend this school to anyone looking into it

I enjoy coming to class, it’s a lot of hands on & that’s the way I learn. The instructors help you if you feel you are doing something incorrectly. I would most definitely recommend this school to anyone.

I am a current student at HDAS and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a dental assisting school. Its very accommodating to your schedule because you do all assignments online which are due at the end of the week and you get to practice your skills in a real dentists office on Saturdays. You also must do a 40-hour externship which sounds intimidating but is actually very exciting and fun, and really helps you to understand what goes on. It also helps you to find what fields you may be interested in. For my first externship day I mainly just shadowed the assistant and observed all of the different procedures in the office, and helped clean rooms & prepare them for the next patient. If you are comfortable with doing more during your externship day you are able to do that as well. The instructors are super nice & patient with us even if I ask them millions of questions, and even though sometimes I feel like I might be asking a stupid question they will still happily answer it for you and explain it thoroughly until you understand.

The instructors are amazing and well knowledgeable, and do a great job at making sure you understand everything, and they do whatever they can to help you succeed. I love how hands-on this program is. And I love how there are people in this program that help you every step of the way. Definitely recommend!
