I love the school its so nice and welcoming ever really recommend to go into valley academy Ive been there for 6 years and I am going to a different School this year its k through 8th and this the most fun school youll ever have and on Fridays its only $1 to get not where your uniforms but you have to where you can forms the rest of the weeks which is pretty good because you dont want to feel decluttered to the kids but I really love this school and I would recommend it to every parent I used to do tours for the school and I had my own club and I hope they continue doing that and you love for through it.

Great little school with small class sizes and a good variety of fine arts classes available to all students. Grades K-3 get 4 fine arts electives. Grades 4-8 choose 2 electives. Academics are in line with district schools in the area. My older daughter went here and has been on the honor roll every year since graduating from Valley. She got a great foundation education. My youngest daughter was moved up a grade and has thrived here. The district school would not allow it even though she tested almost 2 grades above where they were going to place her. The teachers are loving, supportive, and professional. The new principal is AMAZING! He cares deeply for the students, teachers, and the school.

My kids go here. I know the principal and he is always nice and smiling. I give it a 5 of 5. I like the earlier start time and both my kids take Spanish. I had to leave a good review after reading the novel the previous person wrote.

My kids have been students at VA for 4 years now. I have really enjoyed the continual email reminders about news and announcements from the secretaries. Most of the teachers will send out a weekly update on the class activities and assignments. You couldnt ask for a better Principal. The dance class is amazing and the orchestra class is too!

I have had such a wonderful experience with sending my child to this school. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the school does many extra things that my child has a blast doing.

Average at best. Friendly staff & dedicated teachers who are truly admirable yet under a flailing principal (as of early 2018) Teachers set up against odds/set up to fail/be average at best under the conditions.Clean newly built school helmed with inexperienced upper admin/principal, who clearly are not experienced enough to make this school decent. Its been a disappointment after having high hopes (few charters in the county and very few performing charters) This big town wannabe attempt in a small town is SO beyond stuck in a rut. I hope they find an experienced leader with an actual background in performing arts/charter schools to take this sinking ship to higher academic and scholastic levels as well as actually creating an amazing legitimate respected performing arts school/program.This school has no legit full day aftercare, no languages until grade 4, no theater until upper grades, no real organized sports and lacks parental enthusiasm-most likely due to the leader in recent years. Why are almost ALL the teachers female and caucasian? Why is the principal running the show an inexperienced male? Who the heck is responsible for hiring the principal? The teachers here are clearly the ones keeping it afloat. I doubt those in charge of hiring can even do their job either! My guess and predictions are they will hire another male non experienced admin principal to run a barely average school which they will ruin. I have doubts those making decisions are anyone with any capabilities. I am sure the salary wont allow for someone actually experienced and I KNOW all teachers in general are underpaid especially here. These teachers here are angels trying to make lemonaid out of lemons. Is there a PTA? Do local parents know/care how average the school is? I have no idea because for YEARS V.A. never had a functioning website and now they have a below average NEW one with little info on it and NO interactive details , pretty much a handful of bad snapshots someone took ONE time on it and no modern interactive abilities. The website doesnt work, lacks anything much other than some old bad photos of CONSTRUCTION YEARS AGO LOL- as if that was even important and no info under some sections at all, bad design and just lacking at best-this is the NEW website for a school that offers art/technology yet they dont even have a good or creative website lol.-look at the other school websites especially of performing arts charters and see the difference. where events/projects are added online daily or streamed live, where there is actually useful info and updates and photos and videos keeping parents connected. We will move close to the Ivans school if the principal here isnt replaced by someone capable soon, which is DOUBTFUL. Thank you great dedicated teachers for your unbelievable attempts and dedication-you truly are my childrens heroes and its because of you personally we have stayed so long. I have seen you work hard and under unorganized conditions: parents talk and we see this. We hope you all anonymously write letters to the board or whoever makes the hiring decisions and BEG and demand someone with EXPERIENCE in a performing arts charter or the funds/salary to bring one in from a BIGER city. Prediction on new principal hiring: overpaid inexperienced male principal will be promoted from low end teacher to low end inexperienced charter principal with no or little performing arts background, while the mostly female teachers will pick up the slack and keep it all afloat a bit longer while not paid what they are worth. I think the principal may have left already MID YEAR, or just hides out maybe. Nice guy, BAD choice. I hate giving a mediocre review to a school I actually like or want to love but seriously this is low quality and sad. If this school was amazing, people would be reviewing that. Diversity score among teachers: F, Effort by teachers: A+, Ability of Principal: F, Quality of school overall: C/D-, Organization: D-, General Program Score: F, Personalities of Teachers: A+, Property: B+
