This is an absolute diamond in the rough. Kaiso Raven Cain is old school, brings an unbelievable positive energy, and is as legit as it gets. Ive been a martial arts practitioner for most of my life (Im 44) and had been looking for the past 3.5 years (since I moved to the area) for a place to continue studying. I was blessed to have found this place, full of friendly, positive, and talented people who humbly and respectfully pursue their goals in this craft. Everyone here welcomed me warmly to this Ohana, and they are a true testament to the energy that Kaiso Cain attracts. Extremely happy to have found a home here.

We enrolled our son nearly two years ago, and couldnt be more pleased how far along he has come. Hes respectful, courageous, much stronger, and his willingness to do hard things has increased ten-fold. Raven finds each kids method of learning and with a one on one approach, helps each of his students progress through the belts in a way that works for each child. Our son loves going to class 3x a week, and is always bummed when he has to miss it. Highly recommend Raven Self Defense Academy, go see for yourself.

Truly one of the absolute BEST Martial Arts schils in the Country

I have family members that are martial arts instructors but Raven is the best. The way he engages his students is superior to others I have seen. For Raven it seems as it is not the skill they are learning but the individual he is helping my kids to become. So grateful for this business.

Well, if I would have known that the advertised slip for free 30 days was a hoax at Steamroller Copies, I would have never filled it out for my 8 year old son. It went from 30 to only 1 week..and a contract for a year. My husband took my son one day, couldnt make it to second day because my son got hurt when running and fell, landing hard on sharp rocks. Then on 3rd day he said the free week is up. No thanks.

Fantastic school for both kids and adults. Raven -the owner and head teacher- is very patient. He is a black belt in/ specializes in Jiu Jitsu but is extremely knowledgeable and can teach many different martial arts.

I highly and I MEAN HIGHLY recommend coming to this exemplary school for martial arts. nothing you learn here will be untested and not work in a real life situations. I have been training here for more than a year and a half and thats after studying at so many diffrent studios and schools none compare to how amazing this is and I mean NONE!!! The instructors are amazing and very willing to work with all sorts of diffrent types of people as well as help you over come mental barriers, and if you have questions just ask away there are no wrong awnsers. Raven is the most unique martial arts teacher that I have received instruction from in over 40 years of practicing martial arts. He does not have you throw 10 minutes of stationary punches or kicks. He shows you the combination punches or kicks then turns you loose to practice them on the heavy bag or with your partner. Next he evaluates your performance. He shows you Karate, Wing Chun, Judo, Boxing and much more.
