Mike seriously knows his away around feet. I don’t know if it’s magic, science, or the Divine, but what I do know is that Mike can tickle my soul through the soles of my feet while his eyes penetrate deeply into mine.Mike took me into his in backyard into his spiritual temple after I arrived at 2:30am on a Wednesday morning. At first, I was pretty nervous because his temple resembles the tool shed in Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original one, not the Rob Zombie disaster). Mike reassured my apprehension as he lit up a Nag Champa incense and took off his shirt. His chest hair seemed to be glistening. It was the middle of summer, after all. Could have been sweat. In hindsight, he was sweating quite profusely. But he assured me that I was in safe, qualified hands.Mike offered me a glass of water. I accepted and he obliged. The water was hot. He told me that the hot water would help to facilitate the efficient removal of toxins from my throat and down through my toes. Then, he lead me into the back of the temple, past the tool benches and the rain water collection barrels.I sat down in a lawn chair and Mike slicked his hair back with a handful of the hot water he gave to me. And then he turned off the lights.I sat there in dark silence. I could hear Mike breathing. I could hear him pacing back and fourth. And then I felt his hands on my head.“Take your shoes off,” he whispered into my ears. He was behind me.Mike turned on the lights. These lights are multi-colored Christmas lights strung around the ceiling of the healing room. They provided an unsettling yet comporting ambiance that helped to calm my nerves. Mike was shirtless but he was wearing yoga pants and Walmart Birkenstock’s. I was not afraid.I took my shoes off and he sat down on the floor in front of me. He took my right foot into his greased up hands and he began the ceremony. Beginning with my big toe, he used his index finger to trace my chakra lines from toe to toe, toe to heel, and back up in swirls of varying pressure and intensity. He did this while uttering words that I could not understand. But it didn’t matter. The intoxicating effects of the smell of incense, rubbing lotion, gear oil, and old Tyson chicken tenders really helped to get me in the mood.He did the same to my left foot.After 4 hours, the sun was shining through the windows. I realized that my wife left multiple text messages on my phone, wondering where I was. It didn’t matter. Mike made me whole again. I will be coming back. I totally recommend his services. 5 stars.
