My wife fell for the allure of accelerated credits. She only attended one 6-week semester and they charged her what equated to a $120,000 annual tuition. We spent years fighting it with Steven’s-Henager refusing to release financial records or agreements. They continued to threaten us, intimidate us, refuse to respect legal do-not-call submissions. We contacted various legal agencies and found that Stevens-Henager falls perfectly between legal cracks and cannot be touch outside of a full-lawsuit. When they threaten to file law-suits against us for the $12,000+ 6-week-semester, we finally agreed to pay it, after which they released financial records showing that over $1000 of federal student aid had disappeared and was unrecoverable. They are a scam at its finest, just google lawsuits against any the school’s several names and read up.

The college claims to be an accredited college, but this actually not true what so ever. They claim that its up to the other colleges to make the decision to accept transfered credits from Stevens-Henager. While attending school here we had to write a paper on the specialty degree we were working towards. While researching my degree, I started looking into the average cost of my specific program and comparing the other schools in our area. This school refused to give any of us the exact amount of what the schooling was going to cost us, but said we would need to get a loan from the school, after recieving any grants we received federally and/or from the school, and after we take out federal student loans. This program at our community college is roughly $11,000 last time I checked, and the schooling is around 24 months. Stevens-Henager finally disclosed my tuition, after stating everyones tuition is different, was going to cost me roughly $46,000 before grants and loans. I attended here for maybe 6 months, in that 6 months I racked up $9,000 in student loans, and $5,000 some dollars to the school for my loan because the federal loans wont cover all of the tuition, and this is after my grants were applied.. I tried transferring to the community college, as well to ISU, neither would accept the transfer. They offered for me to test out of classes Ive taken. I never received below a 90% in a class, and I still wasnt confident in testing out of classes because of how fast the literature is thrown on you. What finally made me start looking into other schools is when they put me in the 2nd half of the phlebotomy class, before the 1st half, and before the bloodborne pathogens class. Many other students went through the exact class jump as I did. Then after I quite, I was threatend to be charged for the computer that I was given if I didnt return it. I returned the computer, and was still charged for the full price.

I loved going to school here. I earned an Associates degree in Medical Specialties and I have certifications as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. The teachers and faculty were very helpful and friendly. The class numbers were small but it was definitely a better learning environment than being in a class with 100+ people.

I visited the Stevens Henager campus last week and really liked it. There arent many college options in Idaho Falls, so its good to see them doing a great job at providing an educational alternative to the community college.

So, this place says that you can get an associates degree in less than two years, in fact, 20 months. Y’all are stupid. You might as well say it’s 2 years. Same with a bachelors degree in 36 months. I might as well go to an actual university and get a real degree than this baby degree certifications that I can get online 😂😂 don’t waste your money here.
