Amazing staff, scholarship opportunities I never even thought possible and resource s to help you live your life in and outside of school. These people and this place has changed my life! They have helped me get my GED and have constantly given me the courage and the ability to be proud of myself...and now I am on my way to getting my 2 year associates degree in science. Seriously, I currently couldnt be happier with all that CEI has had to offer and has done for me.

Great place to go to school. $105 per credit is cheaper than most colleges around. Transfers well. Went there for 4 part time years. Cant wait to see it become a community college. Business Tech program is ☆☆☆☆☆. Great resources though out campus.

Very good education for a third of the costs it takes on other institutions. CEI has what it takes to get you preparedfor your next step on your career. Its faculty andstaff genuinely care for the success of the students. Great place to get going with your success.

I’m incredibly frustrated with the lack of response at this institution. I tried for 5 months to get an individual from admissions on the phone so that I could avoid all of the back-and-forth via email. I was accepted in May, but had to reach out in order to find this out. I was never sent anything mentioning my acceptance or what orientation entails. I am now scrambling before the semester starts and I have yet to receive any valuable guidance.

In a time when unique challenges presented themselves, the College of Eastern Idaho dug in. There was never a question of whether the demanding conditions would stop students from getting their education, it was only a question of what needed to happen to make sure that they did. CEI faculty and staff, under the care of an amazing administration, simply rolled up their sleeves and got it done. The learning curve for adapting to a pandemic was wrangled by the brute force of amazing minds aligned towards a goal. These lengths taken were never about self-preservation, it was always about the students. It is, perhaps, that CEI has the mindset of success. It may be that there is only one direction to move when a challenge presents itself in our community. It is, perhaps, the way our community moves towards taking care of each other. The CEI family is healthy, strong and vibrant. The CEI family fits well in our community as a result of an ability to match its environment. Im really proud to live and work in this community. I feel very fortunate.

Its a good school to get started, and for the cost of tuition its not a bad deal. Far less than going to the University of Idaho or Boise State for your generals. So for the money and to get started with your education its a good deal.

Nice and clean campus seems to be well organized, the technical department seems very organized with all the tools and the training necessary to be prepared for my job.The campus was so clean and so organized that I think I will sign my wife up so she can start classes in the fall.We even showed up before classes were to supposed to start, and the security guard was good about letting us in, it was pretty cold, I hope somebody checked on him cuz he had to walk what seems like miles just to come open the door for us. 😁

The WORST trade program ive ever experienced. 3 years in and still constant change of the program with hiring and firing of teachers has caused the biggest cluster of teaching. I reccomend taking your money elsewhere. Its almost as if they want you to fail so they have an opening for another tuition payment.

This isnt a school, its a government company trying to take your money. Pay $400 a class to sit in hard plastic chairs for 2.5 hours and be seated next to 16 year olds when your 50. Its a joke of a school and the advising counselors are just there for their paycheck and to use their working hours to study classes they are taking, instead of helping people enroll in their school.

Attended recently. Accounting instructor doesnt teach anything substantial. Student Services personnel are rude, and Business Office workers were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. This place is a clown college, and you will get a mediocre at best education out of it. Credits dont even transfer to major universities. Its better to pay a bit more and go to a real college in the first place. EITC is a joke.

I attended school here from 2005-2008. I attended the Automotive Technology and Diesel Technology programs. I have to say that I truly enjoyed my time and education I received at EITC.The technology instructors are highly knowledgable and very approachable. The class sizes were kept small and we had plenty of time with the instructors.I recommend this school for all of your technical education needs.

I have been attending this college since 2012 it is now 2015 and I have still yet to finish my program. At first I sat down with a counselor and we came up with a schedule for my prerequisites that would end the semester before my professional program. After completing my prerequisites on time and being told I have a guaranteed spot in my program for the upcoming semester I was waitlisted another year. Now I am once again guaranteed a spot in my program of study, but they decided to wait on sending out my acceptance letter until the day my letter of intent was due as well as attending a mandatory meeting the next day. So they dont even give their students 24 hours to plan for child care or anything else, but expect us to be professional. If I wasnt so close to being finish, or have invested so much time or money into this college I would have left long ago. The medical professors are amazing, but the counselors or other facility seem to not care, or seem to not understand how to do their jobs.

First off they hire special needs individuals to help out in the lunchroom and bookstore, so if you call one of those locations and the person cant spell very well that is why. I am in the welding and fabrication program. I do not have a class that has over 15 people I have not met an instructor there yet that is unwilling to spend extra time with me outside of class, one teacher even gave me their personal cell number so I could call if I had trouble with an assignment. Like most of the other students that attend I have a family and a full time job, the teachers are very understanding and helpful with this when it comes to deadlines. They also have a very good tutoring center that is free.EITC is very helpful with helping and working with individuals to succeed, if you attend school here and fail a class you really have no one to blame but yourself.ProsLow tuition costSmall class sizeAvailable one on one teachingNight/day/weekend classesConsLow name recognitionDespite excellent programs they seem to be less respected because they are a technical college.

I was impressed with the level of realism in the CTE programs for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Dental Assistant, and Surgical Assistant. When students graduate with their 2 year certificate, they are well-prepared to enter the workforce. If high school students attend a high school which offers one or more of these CTE programs in partnership with CEI, such as Bingham Academy in Blackfoot, through concurrent enrollment they could graduate high school and complete this certification at the same time!

Thought about transferring there for the Computer Networking program from Idaho State University. I had to call over there twice to finally get some to call me back. The gentleman who called me was a complete dick. Treated me like I wasnt smart enough to test into the program and gave me very vague information. With that said, I didnt even apply to EITC.
