If I could give Mar Vista zero stars, I would. This is absolutely the worst school you could send your children too. The administration and counselors are the least productive and helpful people youll ever meet. If you ask for any sort of special treatment, such as a schedule change, they will try to make your life difficult and call you a spoiled rich, white kid. They are also extremely condescending, to both students and parents. Mar Vista sent out an incorrect official transcript to my universities and jeopardized my chances of getting into a good college. Some of the teachers are just as bad, telling freshman they cant take higher level classes because theyre underclassmen, even if they have cleared prerequisites. Besides this, the campus is a disaster and has almost no security, students jump fences as they please. Mar Vista is possibly one of the worst schools in California.

Now, my review is going to come from a very biased perspective. As the C/O 2002 B.M.O.C. I can honestly say I had a blast while attending MVHS! To this day I still have and occasionally wear my old school colors out in town (San Antonio, Texas) with pride! Its been a very long time since Ive been back for any event of any sort and Im starting to feel some type of way about it as I write this review, hahaha. Well see what happens this coming school year because I am moving back west to Spokane in June. Itll be an easier drive going south to Daygo from there and my Fiance has never been to San Diego so it be nice to incorporate my old kingdom into the trip. Hail, hail Mar Vista High! Best school in the county of San Diego. The teachers and administration are passionate about the success of our kids.

Well their academic programs are somewhat mediocre but they make up for that by putting a heavy emphasis on their sexual education curriculum.

This school sucks the teachers never tried to help or they never tried to even teach

The best recommendation is to try to avoid mr molina and ms goffin.

I wish i could put 0 stars i was in class at ibcs and we were almost constantly on lockdown. they even had a bomb threat.

This school is good or bad depending on how you use the resources that you have at hand.
