Had numerous lessons with Charles as an adult first time driver and each were really good. Where a lot of driving schools will encourage you to keep paying for more and more hours so they can make more money, Ace Driving School is honest and assesses your performance against your goals. Charles did this with me, after a few hours he said I was test ready, but understood my test wasnt for a few weeks so completely understood why I wanted to still drive an hour a week, just to ensure I wasnt rusty. This level of honesty is greatly appreciated and just goes to show this school has your best interest at heart.Once it was time for my test, Donny picked me up, ensured I had the right documents, and took me to the DMV. Back when Covid had the school programs shut down I turned to Ace for my kiddo to get his hours & classtime completed. I was extremely impressed with the communication, organized structure, flexibility & overall professionalism of this business. It was also a fair price (I researched many driving schools in the area) & they really took care of everything required to complete the permit process. Very impressive organization!

The first time around I went with Giselle. She doesn’t know how to deal with timid drivers (which there will be a lot of considering it’s the first time for a lot of us on the highway and 74 is confusing and a little bit scary.) but second time around I went with the owner, David I think was his name, and he was much better with me since I was a little nervous to drive on the road. I recommend if you’re going with him but if you’re uncomfortable the first time around definitely ask for someone else!

This is a great Driver’s Ed program. Staff are knowledgeable, supportive and very responsive. Also offers private driving lessons for teens that need this. I’ve had two teens participate in this program and will send my youngest soon to Ace Driving School.Note their location has recently changed. Verify the address with Donny, owner, before you go. Ms. Dee (DJ) is great, she made the class super fun and covered everything we needed to know. As soon as i finished my class she scheduled me as soon as possible to get my driving done. She also works around your school/work schedule! 10/10 recommend.

This school is great！My father is an immigrant limited English speaking. But Stuff are very patient, and they helped him to learn fast. Private driving lessons coach Donny and Charles are knowledgeable, supportive and very responsive. I recommend and Its our choice!

My 18 Year Old Daughter needed some extra help. So I got a 2 hour driving session and we go DJ. She was exceptional with my daughter. That 2 hour driving blitz with the driving instructor is all we needed to give our daughter some added confidence and learn some much needed safety tips. Sometimes your kids learn better from another adult. They are outstanding! Donny was awesome in scheduling everything and making sure we got what we needed.

This place is the best driving school. Don and Charles helped my family a lot. They don’t rip people off. Their price and their skills are excellent. My Wife didn’t trust anyone except Don. ACE Driving school is the best! My wife and I decided to enroll our son into this driving school instead of trying to manage the logistics through CMS. We are so glad that we went the independent route. The owner (Donnie) is fabulous. His instructor led sessions over the weekends made this a perfect fit as it only required several weekends for my son to complete the class component. Also, the driving sessions went extremely well with Stacy. My son commented how patient she was as an instructor and he learned all of the fundamentals of driving in several sessions. We have been so impressed with how they took someone that barely knew anything about driving to being able to drive on the highways and all through Mecklenburg and Union County. We will definitely use this business again with our daughter once she reaches driving age!

I never had to drive in India, so I had no experience with 4 wheeler driving. I moved to US in 2014 and been relocated to different places in US due to work. I had been avoiding to get a drivers license since then. Absolutely lovely!! I took 3 classes and passed the test. He made me feel comfortable and taught me various things that i wouldnt have been aware of. On the test the instructor said that i was a really good driver, and passed with flying color. I would recommend him to anyone, even for a little bit of practice. Practice makes perfect.

This is a good driving school where the instructors are motivational which is important for new drivers. I took 3-4 classes with Charles and one with Donnie. I got my license at the first attempt. However, I had to give them 4 stars because I was asked to take an extra driving session though I was confident in my driving and the other instructor felt so too. Another reason is they canceled or rescheduled couple of agreed classes and I wasn’t happy about it. But to me, the pros were definitely better than the 2 cons.. they were positive, motivational, not expensive, have good number of cars with all seat adjustments required for a short person like me and Donnie gave me some very useful tips about driving. I would always recommend this school to my friends and any new driver!

I had taken a 6 hour package with Ace driving school for fine tuning my driving skills after taking the learners permit.I took the road test immediately thereafter and got the licence.The training has been very systematic and focused.Donnie is very committed and helpful and is with you all thro the course giving tips and guidelines.Charles also is a good instructor patiently correcting mistakes.I would strongly recommend this school to anybody wanting to be a safe driver.

I am 23 and had yet to have any driving practice. I had a fear of driving since I was young from being in multiple accidents. However, within 4 to 5 one hour sessions with Donnie, I ACE-ed (😉) my driving test on my first try with no hiccups and my fear of driving has vanished almost entirely. I never drove before this, just a couple of times with friends. I passed the test in first attempt, thanks to Ms. Dee and Donnie. I took 4 hours training with Ms. Dee and she was very polite, gentle and trained very nicely. In 4 hours (+ plus a couple of times with friend) I was feeling very confident.On the day of test, I went to DMV with Donnie. He showed everything very nicely, every small detail, he was very patient with me and helped in learning everything again before the test. He is strict but the intension behind is that we do our best. Overall it was a very smooth and nice experience.

Don and Chris did a very good job in making my spouse driving skill a top notch. She had driving class from another driving instructor earlier and they made her very nervous behind the wheels. They didnt put any effort to get her prepared for DMV test or took her to Highways for driving. My instructor was pretty awesome! I loved how she taught me . Her name is Dee.But the man who took me to DL test Donny (I guess) was very rude and shouted at me a lot. He brought diff cars and didnt even give me time to figure out if its a touch start of the car and yelled at me that I am not listening to him.I am a learner doesnt mean you can be rude to me.But the instructor was really great. I got confidence that I can drive!! Thank you

After my unsuccessful attempt at DMV with another driving school, I joined Ace driving school. The tutors here are fabulous. I had an opportunity to learn with Jeff and Dee. They were detailed in their approach and very patient. Dont waste your time going with any other driving school... A.C.E is the best driving school!! Donnie gave me 4-lessons and decided I was ready for the road test. Im a new driver and at age 41. I was terrified but Donnie did a fantastic job with my self confidence. I went to Monroe DMV and sadly failed the test because the examiner was a moron! She was aggressive and looked for every reason to fail me. I went to Huntersville DMV a week later and passed with ACE! Everything Donnie taught me was exactly what came in the road test. Another student went with me and passed as well!!This driving school is the cheapest price and the best teacher!!! Thank you Donny!!!

Best experience i’ve had with a driving school. Make you feel extremely comfortable and get you ready to get your license in no time. I was involved in an accident that made me kind of hesitant to drive again and felt I needed to perfect my skills some more, decided to call ACE, I took only 2 classes with them and passed my driving test on the first try! Donnie is truly a great teacher, extremely friendly and offers the best prices too. He was always on time, answered any questions and makes you feel like he genuiely cares and wants to help you do great while giving you a good laugh in the process. Only had the children take the tests at end of chapters - never taught or discussed - and overcharged for lunch. Unorganized and driving instructor made a rude comment to my daughter. There are better choices you can make

Donnie’s instructor took my 16 year old to another adult’s house to shoot guns during his driving lesson. Next time out, this instructor took my child to several pawn shops. Entirely unprofessiona

This is my 3rd time n i passed the test ....1st two times i went to dmv east office and due to some reason i failed there..thanks a lot Donnie for taking me to the mooresville dmv office this time and helped me with some practice there ...the staffs r really very nice and the gd thing is u just go there n give the test ...no queue at all ...once again thank u so much Donnie 4 this ..
