I went here when it was on the north side of Indy off of Purdue drive graduated twice from there. Once as an ITSA and then as an ITSS as an registered ethical hacker. I recommend anyone who love to work on or with computers or that wants to start on a new path to check them out they are amazing and if you put in the effort they will also and help you for life. I just want to say a huge thank you to MyComputerCareer for helping me get where I am today and helping me get what I needed to start my Computer repair and IT business.

I would recommend this course to anyone. The staff makes you feel comfortable diving into the unknown and the admissions process is spot on. The guys and girls will get you into the program fast and seamlessly. If you are just starting out in I.T. or if you have a experience this is a great program for learning the basics of the field.

MyComputerCareer, how can I summarize it in so few words? Its a heck of a grind and theres a lot expected of you! The best part is, the majority of it is at your own pace. Which at first seems amazing....until youre into week 3 of your first course and realize youve procrastinated on your work, youre now 7 assignments behind. Welcome to the show! That hard truth out of the way, the facility is chock full of people who are willing to put the time in to help. Thats not to say theyll drag you kicking and screaming to the finish line, but there is a lot of good resources in house. I highly suggest you take advantage of it. Come in with your shoes laced up and your head on straight or youre gonna spend a looooot of time in the flex area. TRUST me (a complete stranger on the internet) when I tell you, make a plan and stick to it. To my fellow VA students, Its a bit of a slog and the 465 loop is going to become your 3rd home. Find some audio books and load them up!All of the staff is wonderful and I am glad I enrolled and completed this program.

Having been both a student and an employee I can say that MyCC exceeded all of my expectations. As a student I found the course material was both easy to follow and understand. My Instructors all did amazing jobs at delivering the content of the courses and were both extremely helpful and caring about each and every student. As an employee upper management leaves something to be desired but on a Campus level I couldnt have asked for a better group of coworkers. Highly professional and loving towards each other as well as students and prospective students. 10/10 would attend more classes and seek future employment with them again

MyCC of Indianapolis Campus has some great people who really care about your success. The Information Technology Security and Administration (ITSA) curriculum covers all of your basic needs and a few more. There is a lot of certifications (9) to cover in a short amount of time and it is fast and furious. One course right after the other. Whether your able to come to campus or online, day time or night time MyCC does have you covered. You are able to take a certification exam up to twice during the course work within 2 weeks of completing a course. The hard part is you are also working on the next course! So study during the weeks you are in classThe only short falls about MyCC is the cost. I truly wish they had an al la carte option because some courses are outdated due to CompTia NOT updating the tests within the 3 years. If you are a veteran and have the Post 9/11 then you are eligible for housing (amount depends on whether you are on/off campus). Also, as a veteran that choose to do on campus, you also had to study on campus during MyCC hours due to VA requirements. The big advantage to this is that you could ask either the flex instructor or a teacher that is on campus (if they are NOT giving a class). The big disadvantage is that I also worked during the day, so I was limited by my work hours and closing of MyCC campus at night which was around 2220 (10:20PM) (M-TH) and 1600 (4PM) Friday (times may change so ask).Overall, the experience wasnt bad and you could leave MyCC with between 0 to 9 certifications (that number is determined by you). Look at the time it will take you to complete the courses, if you work, if you have a family, if you have other obligations, then your time for study will be reduced. On the other hand, ensure you understand the obligations you currently have and schedule time for it DAILY. Whether you are studying through videos, reviewing questions, going to class it is completely doable. Let the people around you know what your intentions are and you will see that they will root for you. It is a lot of hours to cover, but will be well worth in the end.

The staff and instructors are great. They answer questions you might have and are always willing to explain something you dont understand. I have almost no complaint in this area. My biggest complaint though is the internet. Its recently been throttled to the point that you cant do anything outside of the curriculum. I used a YouTube channel to learn from and now I cant even do that. Its not fair to restrict students, who pay large sums of money mind you, to not using the internet for their learning needs, especially when theres a lot of good material outside the curriculum. Its pretty annoying a school that teaches IT has a throttled network speed of 680 KBps down and 110KBps up. I get that bandwidth usage can be an issue, but this is ridiculous.

Instructors and staff are great, face to face interactions with smaller class sizes are the key strengths of the local campus program compared to online offerings. Materials are helpful but you may need to do a bit of digging on your own to feel fully prepared for some of the certs. It is a tough but manageable program and I cant stress enough how important it is to be ready to commit to both the classroom and self-study hours it requires each week. If you go in unprepared with poor time management or an overly busy/stressful life outside the classroom you will probably struggle, so try to get your affairs in order before you start if at all possible. Ultimately if you put in the work and make the time you will be successful in this program. If you are not familiar with computers/IT try to inquire about starting in one of the CompTIA A+ 1001 or 1002 courses rather than the Linux/MTA Server course as it could be an overwhelming start for a beginner.

I had thought about my future for a LONG time and DREAMED MANY YEARS ABOUT IT...What it would look like...But I always thought it was only a DREAM THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE IN SO MANY WAYS.Then a time came in mine and my kids lives where my family and friends were there for us at IMPOSSIBLE TIMES sacrificing their own jobs and their family time. Which made IMPOSSIBLE into HOPE and POSSIBILITIES that once was only a dream. I’m forever grateful for their sacrifices and for the deep LOVE and BOND we all have for one another.Which brought strength I thought I had lost. The other day, I woke up with a skin tag under my left arm. It wasnt there the day before. There were only two possibilities: it just suddenly appeared, or I dont pay very close attention to my left armpit. I selected just appeared and decided to do some research. Ask Jeeves has been down for forever, so I joined the sheeple and opted for Google. My friendly computer gave me a number of reasons for sudden, freakish skin tag growth to choose from. I was able to reject some of them with great reluctance. For instance, I am fairly certain I hadnt recently angered a Wiccan, that my gluten-heavy diet isnt giving me baby polio, and I am not a werewolf. I hated to discount these because I consider myself solutions agnostic.I finally applied Occams razor to the situation and cut it down to the most likely solution: sunspots. I was not sure where we were in the 11-year sunspot cycle. The computer was not able to give me a sunspot calendar. Obvious unfulfilled need to exploit! Anyway, I applied the poultice using the recipe the computer gave me. About an hour later, I smelled smoke. It turns out that the poultice was not as tested on human subjects as it should have been.So I ended up at my doctors office. After the application of a fire extinguisher and several Tucks medicated pads, my doctor asked me what was going on. I told him my computer told me that I needed to apply a poultice to my left armpit due to sunspots. His prognosis: jackass, its just a skin tag.All of this is to highlight the fact that a computer can be your friend. This friend has unlimited porn and bad ideas. You probably should take some computer classes in how to control them. This place is a pretty good place to do that.

I wanted to go to school here to learn more about computers and start a career in IT. As far as my objectives go? I succeeded in achieving my goals with the help of the instructors and career services keeping me motivated to finish the program. This was not an easy task to accomplish however, working full time at a job i did not enjoy and going to night classes took alot out of me over the 9 months of the course. Was it worth it in the end? I wouldnt have the knowledge and job that I have now because of this program so I would say that its worth it. Were there negatives? Sure. Now for the room for improvement part:I wanted these courses for the certs to have more practical scenarios that the students would be seeing in certain situations like help desk and desktop support, since thats where most students will start out as. I know that this is not as simple as im making it out to be because every company has a different environment and you cant replicate that easily. I just wish that there was a push for more of this type of training verses cramming as much as possible for each cert. Even if it means making the course stretch out longer so that the students feel more prepared going into the workforce after school. I also have problems with the amount of tuition compared to the amount of money the cert tests cost all together. I understand that this is a business as much as it is a place of learning, but i feel that the teaching that I got on top of the cert test that i took didnt fully prepare me for what I was walking into when I got my first IT job. In summary here you guys do good but you know that you can do much better for what your charging. Conclusion:Look this school isnt for everyone. It is intense, The material can be difficult to grasp if you arent tech savy (but it is on you to ask the questions and work hard to grasp the material), and also it is expensive. However, there is a lot of heart in the staff at this location. From the instructors to the campus director, all of the staff at this location to a person wants to see their students succeed in their goals at this school. I almost threw in the towel cause the stress was too much for me at one point, but I sat down with my campus director at the time and another lady from North Carolina and they both talked with me and reminded me of why I started this journey. My instructors did the same thing. They do genuinely care about your success. Everything else is up to you weather or not youre going to take their help and make it work. If you are looking to make a change in your life and youre not finding successful opportunities in your current career field, give MYCC a look. They very well may provide you with the support you need to get to where you want to be.

I have been enrolled at mycc indianapolis campus for just a short while now ,but i can say the true feel of the training is that you get out of it what you put in to it .The staff is great! They will push you ,they will not allow you to fail, unless your goal is to fail. the training is grooling (if you are working and taking care of children while attending classes),but it will be short lived as it is only a 30 week course . once its over you will be supplied with the all the tools and education you need to be a success in the IT field ,or so i have seen so far .

This has been a great experience for me to create better opportunities for myself. I was at ITT tech for a year and then left them to come here before it closed down. I learned more stuff about IT here at My Computer Careers in a month then i ever did at ITT tech in a year. This is the place to come and be a part of the IT industry.

Love it. I kept hearing about it on the radio so I finally made the decision to go in and take a tour. I was blown away by the courtesy and the professionalism by not only the staff, but the students. My instructor lou is hands down the best teacher Ive encountered. Not only does he teach things to you so you can understand them better, but he pushes you to succeed and further your education. I felt like I couldnt do it and alot of people felt that way, but Lou pushes you and makes you better. Id give this place a 100 star score bht I can only do 5. Overall this is the best school to attend if your wanting in the IT industry

A Must Read for Future MyCC Alumni:I am a 37 year old veteran that came into the My Computer Career (MyCC) program learning IT for the VERY FIRST time. However, my classmates come from every walk of IT knowledge and experience. Within these last few months I have had to overcome multiple unforeseen barriers. It is through that personal development I learned about myself some things I was blind to. For starters, I learned how I: learn best and that I had horrible study habits, had ineffective time management, and that I am a problem solver not a goal setter. Ouch! Identifying these weaknesses have ultimately made me grow as an individual and I am better for it.I will be graduating my program this month and my journey has been 10 fold worth the cost, time, and determination I continue to invest! I honestly feel the My Computer Career staff and their IT program is second to none and continues to improve! You can count on not being just a number here at MyCC! This growing private school is family founded and operated. Walking through the campus doors will feel like you are coming home, from start to finish. The MyCC campus staff know students by their first names and are eager to assist with your success. It is no secret that all staff from the founder and CEO at the top, Tony Galati, to the individual campus staff are dedicated because they genuinely care! The MyCC academic program is a proven system that works and is ready for you to plug into. That is not to say your commitment will come without effort put forth and, for some, patience and resilience. I know because, as I mentioned, I struggle harder than most of my peers. Regardless of your prior IT knowledge and experience I confidently say any alumni would agree this program will challenge you at some point. If not, all the way through. Although, you can rest assured you are in the right place when the challenge(s) arises for you! Before learning about MyCC I looked into several IT programs and had thought I made my mind up of where I would attend. Just before too late I figured it could not hurt to check out one more. It paid off and only benefited me in the long run. I recommend you do the same and prove it true for yourself. Most likely it will have to make sense to you as it had to for me. Best wishes for your IT journey!
