I am the parent of two Forest Glen students, and could not be happier about their experience at this school. The administration, teachers and staff are dedicated, kind, smart, wonderful people whos main priority is the students education. My children are given the gift of Spanish language and culture every day, and through this school and their experiences within it, their lives are being changed for the better. By learning Spanish in this intensive environment, their world is expanded and opened exponentially. I am grateful for this school every day and am thrilled that my children are in such an incredible program.

Forest Glen has been an amazing experience for my two children. They have opened their hearts and minds to the world through the Spanish Immersion Program. It is such a unique experience to have the opportunity to become bi-lingual early in life. There is no other elementary education I would have wanted for my kids. The staff and administration are positive, helpful, focused on the children and responsible stewards of the school. Forest Glen is a wonderful place.

We have been involved with Forest Glen now for 9 years with 3 of our children having gone there or currently there. We absolutely love the school, administration and staff! This is such a hidden gem in Indianapolis, The children are provided with such a unique opportunity to be immersed in a second language. They not only learn the language but all also immersed in different Hispanic cultures. We cannot say enough about this elementary. Thanks Forest Glen for working so hard for your students!

My wife and I debated sending our kids to a private school, but instead, we opted for Forest Glen. That was five years ago, and we could not be more pleased. Our kids enjoy the school, and its been a great experience all around, and the teachers truly care about the kids. Also of great importance is that the leadership is truly top notch.Recently, one of our kids started having some issues. Despite being a smart kid, my boy was getting some bad grades, including a couple of Fs. Well, I never would have imagined the support system that they have in place, and at a public school! Everyone from the Principal on down truly seems committed to getting my boy back on track. If I didnt know better, Id swear the school had only one kid... mine. The extra attention, the true concern for my little boy, and for that matter, all my kids, is impressive, especially for a public school ! We made an excellent decision to come here, and would highly recommend it.

I also have been involved for many years and have children at this school. I love our school and the teachers, and a lot of the staff as well. However this past year there has been a dramatic and negative change in the overall feel of our school. It seems that the school has been divided into two groups. There is a definate clique of parents and staff that seem to be running the school. For example, all the positive post on this website in the past year are all made from the same parents in the clique and seemed to be overly biased towards the people that may be the cause of the negativity. Being biased and protecting someone that you know that is incompetent is very wrong but is also a terrible injustice to our school. I wish we could return to how we were all a few years ago in our great little school. That was a time when we were all one and everything was out in the open and equal. Thats why we have lasted and grown this far. We need to all become a family again and stop shutting parents out just because they disagree or have different views. I look around at all the families at our school and we are all so different in so many ways, isnt it normal that we would have different outlooks on things too? Then why do we not all get to fit in anymore, why is there just a special group now for just their views? Like I said in the beginning, I love this school, but it has changed so much. It is very sad what has happened this past year.

School leadership uses funds that is suppose to go to the children and be used for improving the school to take lavish trips all around the world, completly funded by Forest Glen and the children. Trips that are planned by this leadership the first year include; Kentucky, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, Ecuador, Galapagos Island.School leadership also uses school funds to created positions and to hire family members and friends at higher salaries then seasoned dedicated teachers currently earn.Forest Glen needs many improvements, school, playground and overall structural and cosmetic condition is very poor. We are rated below other schools in our district in overall condition. As a parents we can also see that we desperately need assistant teachers for over-populated classrooms, and additional help for our special needs children. Our opinion as a concerned group of parents is to stop the spending on trips and family and friends. If the leadership wants to take lavish trips around the world, we only ask that they pay for it themselves, and to stop the hiring and overpaying of family and freinds. Please use the funds for our children, staff and school as it was meant to be. Parents of Forest Glen
