I really dont know where to start with this review as either way its going to be very long. Anyways, here we go with this review of this lovely TaeKwonDo school/community.I have been training at this TaeKwonDo school for a while; maybe around 3 years now. I have had prior TaeKwonDo experience before coming here; however because my family moved a lot and each style was a bit different I always had to start over no matter how far along or close I was to black belt. Every time we made a move I always got discouraged as I kept having to restart.When we made the move to Indiana I was starting to think about giving up on TaeKwonDo and training as it seemed I could never reach my goal no matter how hard I tried. I always ended up back where I started; that was really until I started going to Midwest Academy and I heard they had a TaeKwonDo program there that was affiliated with another school(KTA). Like most TaeKwonDo schools I did have to give away my rank, I started training at Midwest only until I was a green belt or so.Once I hit greenbelt I was absolutely terrified about training at KTA because I knew nobody there; I was and I still am very hesitant to talking to new people. KTA welcomed me and welcomes everyone with open arms; even if you really dont know them people still are kind to you and say general things or try to start conversations with you.Before KTA I have been through a lot; many events that were traumatic to me and Im still haunted by some of it to this day. TaeKwonDo in general has helped me get past that part of my life, and honestly I dont think it wouldve if I trained anywhere else besides KTA. KTA has given me so much, it has helped me get self confidence and actually make more friends. It has also helped me with the academic aspects of it as well; it has helped me balance training with other events or hobbies of mine better.I should probably cut it short now as I realize this is practically my black belt essay but summarized; I just thought this all needed to be said. If you are looking for a place to train whether its for your kids, for you, for your friends or as a group I highly recommend this place.I noticed the trend on these reviews is to say your belt rank and stuff; so I am a Recommended Black Belt testing for my Black Belt upcoming Saturday. I look forward to continue my training for as long as I can here at KTA.

I go to KTA and have learned a lot since. I think it is a great place to go if you want to learn Taekwondo.

I am a black belt at this school, and soon hope to branch off into other martial arts. Training here is a lot more than just exercise. The focus on positive mentality, respect and hard work is impressive. People are friendly and helpful. However, since it is such a large school, in order to get individual attention you really have to seek it out.

Warm family atmosphere yet focused on traditional discipline. Head instructor Grand Master Cooley regularly represents the US at world level forms competitions. When younger he did the same in sparring competitions. Highly medaled in both areas he teaches traditional Tae Kwon Do.

Amazing experience with our son!! He has developed commitment, respect for adults, and self-discipline and more dedication to completing tasks through KTA. Great adult involvement. Tremendous value for price. He is now well on his way to second-level balckbelt.

Master Cooley does more than teach you or your child about Tae Kwon Do, he helps prepare them for life both at and away from home. He teaches and allows real application through sparring in class. A great place at an overall excellent value! You might come to try it but youll stay because you love it! Hope this helps.

KTA is one of the most beneficial experiences a person could have. It does not only teach you how and when to defend yourself but how to apply almost everything you learn to everyday life situations. The character i have today would not have been if i had never began TeaKwonDo. Recomend black belt.

In my experience with the people I have met at KTA one thing rings loud and true, not only as martial artists, as people come, KTA produces some of the greatest people I have met!

If youre going to put your hours on google as 10am-9pm, and I show up at 3pm.... you should be open.
