My 3 year old loves this school. I dont call it just a daycare because its so much more than that. The staff is always professional and go above and beyond to make having to leave your baby bearable. Id recommend them whole heartedly.

We love La Petite, from the location to the teachers everything has been perfect since we started our little one at La Petite. We look forward to our little one growing and learning from some of the best teachers in Indy. Thank you to all the ladies at la Petite for watching over our little bundle of joy.

Loved La Petite during the time my kids went here. It was for about a year and a half and couldn’t ask for a better daycare. Would still be there if we hadn’t moved away and needed to switch daycares due to changing school districts. They handled this crazy pandemic very well!!!!

My youngest daughter (19 m.o) attends this center and is always so happy to be dropped off each morning and that alone says a lot. Shes learned so mcu, shes staring to identify colors and her vocabulary has expanded so much. Her teacher is consistent with updates through out the day so I know what my child.is doing and learning. I highly recommend thiis school.

The staff is very friendly & professional. They send updates & pictures throughout the day. They have been doing a great job keeping everyone safe during this pandemic.

My children love this place. They say the food is good, the teacher are so sweet and kind, they are the most professional teachers Ive encountered in an early learning setting. They love what they do and they do it well. The safety of the building is great. You have to have a code to get in the front door and they are gated around the entire building. It is clean and always smells nice. I recommend it to everyone I know

My 4 children have been here for over a year and they as well as I love it. I have 7 year old twins, a 4 year old and a 2 year old and I have never had problems wit the teachers. They are friendly and professional. They have had 2 directors and the current one (#2) is great. She listen to your needs and help with them. The teachers are very good educators and also very helpful. I love this place!!!!

As a preschool teacher of 23 years, I really have enjoyed working at this center. I have worked at several other child care centers and by far, this is an amazing place to work. I love the fact that the curriculum is individualized and based off the child. The classrooms have many learning materials and the teachers work hard at keeping the children engaged.

My girls absolutely love this center. They have been the most welcoming and supportive daycare theyve ever been to. The teachers genuinely care and take such good care of my girls. I highly recommend this center to everyone and anyone who wants your kids to be well loved while youre away !

I went to visit this school and I loved everything about it! It was very clean and tidy, all of the staff was welcoming and friendly and the kids seemed extremely happy! I love how the staff does a great job of keeping the parents informed and involved in what is going on with their children and the things they are learning. I also love all of the fun ideas the teachers have in keeping their students involved and engaged. Such a great place for children!

First let me just say discipline starts at home. I read these negative reviews it seems to me the problem is YOUR CHILD! Daycare doesnt RAISE YOUR KID if they are bad at home there isnt a magic wand to make them behave at childcare...This Center is GREAT the teachers here are great and do a wonderful job looking after my little girl. My child is always interacting with staff and they treat her as she was their own child. They work with her to reach her milestones and she is actually ahead of where she needs to be. She is an infant and is NEVER wet or hungry when I pick her up. She is always smiling and sometimes crys when I put her in the car to take her home lol. She is always playing NEVER in a crib or strapped in a bouncer and the staff are ALWAYS professional and not on their phones ignoring her..or taking about their personal lives... as I have had with other facilities. I am happy knowing she is safe while I am at work or school.

I love this place! Both my children go here and they absolutely love it! The teachers are caring and kind, and go the extra mile to teach their students. I would recommend this place to anybody!

The food was gross, the teachers are pretty mean, they don’t handle it the kids when they are bad, and they don’t let kids on electronics for no reason at all!

This is an amazing daycare! All the teachers care about the students and try really hard to make sure they are ready for school! They are amazing at what they do, Ive never had any complaints from my children.My kids have learned their colors, how to spell their name, shapes and more.I would recommend this daycare to everybody.

My son has attended LaPetite in Beech Grove for 6 months now. He is in Ms. Jessicas preschool room. WE LOVE IT!! Everyone is super friendly and nice. This is our first time in a preschool program and he has adjusted so well. We are very pleased with the school!!

CHILD ABUSEMy son (2 years old) attended this daycare in January and had a horrible experience. I dropped him off around 8 AM and picked him up about 5. I asked his teacher how his day was and she told me great they played ball and the day went smoothly. Shortly after picking him up I noticed trickels of blood coming from his nose. I called immediately and asked had something happened to him. The worker then told me he was walking fell and hit his face in a toy. When I spoke with her she should have informed me of this being that I asked how his day went. The teacher said he had no blood while at daycare this I know was a lie because he had dried blood on his shirt, witch I didnt notice when picking him up because the put his jacket on and zipped it. Their story changed two or three times and I stilled didnt have a report so I called CPS a month or so later they informed me this center is understaffed and used unnecessary discipline . Theyve been placed on probation. FYI I am not a paranoid mother who is mad her child fell Im mad they lied, chose not to tell me and didnt provide an incident report until three weeks later. I firmly believe they abused my child.

I just love this place my daughter is in the school age room and her teacher Ms.Brandy is really awesome she works well with kids 😊 and actually cares about them 😁

I originally wrote a wonderful review about this school about a year ago. OH MY! What a year can do. In the past year there have been 3 different directors. This center was negligent with my children. They let my children leave with someone who has specifically NOT allowed to pick them up. The school did this not once but TWICE. Once they even forgot to pick my child up from school!!!!! A toddler broke a window in a classroom. A classroom that my daughter was in. Glass poured all over my daughter. I didnt even know about this until I came to pick my daughter up. How does this happen? A toddler should not be able to break a window like that in a child care facility. There was no incident report for this incident. Also, there was a time where the toilets backed up all over the floor. The front door was cracked to the facility. A huge spider crack in the door where the children touch. There was a teacher fired for threatening a 4 year old child. Several of the teachers just sit the entire time, and are too busy talking than to do activities with the children.The facility was investigated and found guilty of too many children to teacher ratios. There arent enough teachers because they cant keep the staff. My children begged me everyday to not make them go back. This facility is a danger to your children!!!! I am so glad my children attend another facility where they are happy, and many of the former teachers of La Petite work and children are.

I went to La Petite Academy looking for a job today. I like that the door is coded to enter the building. The Academy Director, Christine Shotton, opened the door to allow me access into the building, basically the foyer area. It was very clean and neat. It also had great décor - pillows, chairs, etc.I was very impressed and felt at ease and comfortable talking with Christine. The building itself was very quiet. I peeked into the classroom area and saw how orderly, clean and quiet the facility was. Children were busy working - table work. This appeared to be the academic time. Time for singing, games, and physical work outs were in the near future, I am sure!Christine was very helpful, and in my opinion appears to have a love for her job!Upon returning home, I checked out the facilities web page. It was filled with valuable and interesting information for parents. It was very colorful and offered videos to add dimension to the webpage.I would send my child to this particular La Petite Academy!

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!Full story... Ticked but yet relieved. So last Monday my grandson Izzi was assaulted by another child at daycare by being hit in the head with a wooden chair and a plastic lid to the point it drew blood! Let me start off by saying my grandchildren arent innocent lil angels, they have caused their fair share of hell. Where the problem starts is we (my daughter and myself as well as other family members) discipline them and understand when they receive incident reports.What I DONT understand stand is WHY wasnt this child handled the same way (the child who hit my grandson)?! The daycare notified her mother but she wasnt asked to pick her child up as we had been asked to do before. THEEENNN the Director tells the teach if the family asks, tell them the lil girl was picked up! Thats when hell broke loose! How are you going to sit in my face and tell me a bold face lie?! Im skipping a lot of this but giving the fest. So since the director kept referencing to her Area Manager for answers as to why the other child wasnt handled the same as our children, i asked to speak to the manager myself! A same day meeting was arranged, at the end a bunch of broken promises were given and the other child NEVER RECEIVED any infraction for what she had done! The teacher said when the mother was told what by her other lil girl (the girls big sister) the mother nonchalantly says yea I know just get in the car. 😠Friday comes and theyre calling us because Izzi has left the building 3 times and was scaling the fence! So this Monday my next time there Im questioning the safety of my grandsons! The other director tells me protocol is for the teacher to yell for or send for someone to go after the child! 😱 thus fore leaving my child outside unattended! She then proceeds to tell me that the teacher cant leave the other children to go to bring another hold back in (a matter of what 1-2 mins?!) which is telling me my grandsons safety isnt important. She then states she felt I was angry and attacking (verbally) her!) I said youve seen me angry, how is having a conversation and expecting answers isnt a form of anger. Not 1 curse word came from my mouth! Til date the Area Manager has still not followed up as promised about the 1st incident but has since then barred my minions from daycare for being to aggressive! That being said, they will NEVER step foot into LaPetite Daycare off South Emerson and Churchman! They lie (admin), the teachers are sweet, are understaffed, unprofessional, said they were in progress of becoming apart of or having Paths of Quality and still till date are not, just right out not a good place for children! I know youre probably thinking why were they still there? They were on their way out my daughter was the process of switching daycares and couldnt happen at a better time!They are under staffed, our kids have been there since February and has had so many teachers (and still havent learned much) in that time frame, their teacher and the director at the time quit, and theyve been in complete kaois since! They will LIE to your face, well hopefully you read my post so wont keep going on with the list. Ive worked in the daycare setting, have 4 adult children, and NEVER had anything like this has happened! Oh forgot to mention within this week alone LaPetites Admin has suspended both of my grandsons (twins) for being too aggressive for 30 days! Huh, as if!!!! Theyve received their fair share of of bumps and bruises but their the only ones suspended? Uh ok, whatever happened to the aggressor who hit my grandson?
