This school is a flat out joke. There is no discipline nor structure. Kids from first grade to high school do what they want through out the day. There is one student who walks the hall all day long.Cussing seems to be the norm for these student from the time they walk in the door to the moment they leave to go home.Policy has changed according to some faculty, There have been changes at the top as in the Principal. This principal allows the student to have their phone all day. According to Her it is their safe zone and we cant have them feel not safe. Principal name Virginia Poindexter.I believe she is not qualified to be a Principal nor be in the school system period. First graders calling her all sorts of names and her reply is its okay we all love you its going to work out.I can tell you this the staff does not like her and has disrupted the system that they worked hard to keep discipline and structure in the school.Please look at another school for your child, as long as Virginia Poindexter is Principle your child will not learn anything at all.

I went to Sanders back in the 1970sit was a great school back then. Mis Zimmerman was my faverit teacher and went to principle purdels foodie more then once.got 3 whacks 2 times for not refusing to do my homework. Ouch still remover it like it was yesterday. I was a substitute teacher here for one day, which would be my last day. This is the kind of school you fear would be shot up. The kids, mostly boys, were absolutely unmanageable and allowed to do whatever they please. Apparently there were some policy changes with the new Principle this past year and the kids are allowed to be on their phones the entire school day without teachers taking it away. The kids listen to blaring gangster rap with or without headphones. One boy listened to music so loudly I could hear him across the room, while taking a test he did not finish. During this time he also pulled out one dollar bills and asked if I wanted to strip. Granted some of these kids have learning disabilities, but either way they are all running a muck in Sanders school. Ive never heard so much cussing in my life, and I even had a conversation with a student about how he had smoked meth. He was 15. Other conversation topics were sex, drugs, and alcohol. Im truly scared for these childrens futures. I spoke with another teacher and they said it wasnt like this before the new Principle unfortunately I cant recall her name, but point blank is that she shouldnt be there and she has no idea what she is doing. I plan to contact her supervisor after this post. DONT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE
